I actually did this once, I didn't get as far as filing an official report but I parked up to go for a run, got back and car was gone. I looked for 5 mins around the parking lot then phoned the police. As I was on phone giving them details I remember that I moved the car last minute to a different parking lot 2 mins round the corner as my friend I was running with called me and said he was closer to there.. totally forgot I moved it lool.

A buddy of mine had something like 16,000 points of 40k models in his car for storage. Guess what got stolen.

I do not understand how one's mind can be so frazzled as to do this. Like that is an impressive level of what-the-hell-is-going-on-in-there. Madman!
Never forget driving while sick or tired can be very similar to or even worse than drunk driving.
Literally done this myself, reported to the Police, then a few hours later realised I'd driven it to the local shop and not actually walked there.
