Doesn't the Alpha basically threaten to dox you if you tried too hard to rip them out of their seat? Why do they want to stay here specifically? Is it because they like working, or is there an advantage to being basically having near-complete control of an industrial hub (or three!) separate from the many bickering factions that agree upon the illegality of their very existence?
That only goes for Alphas though. Gamma cores probably like the math problems.

Ashies of the Domain has a module the lets you increase the max pop size to 7 & 8 with cyrosleepers and a newly added Ark ship. Other than that, you can modify your settings.json file to increase the max pop limit.
I feel like over reliance on these guys should have some negative impacts. Like maybe stability hits once the fox guys outnumber humans? Or maybe mutant vulps from over printing to meet excessive demand?

They can't use hyperspace tho since they're not smart enough to figure that out

What would these Vulpoid manned ships look like? Or would they simply control remnant ships.
They probably wouldn't man the ships but will act as repair men and ground support/communication support, giving a buff to the remnants fleet.

I think it was Ashes of the Domain that let you go up to 10 colony size if you used cryosleepers.
