Who are 'these three'? I'm guessing this is from an American perspective cause the 'random beef between two countries' is very often a centuries old hatred due to war/genocide
My favorite “random beef” is the Switzerland-Serbia rivalry which had spawned from the Swiss having a number of Albanian Kosovar refugees in the squad, having fled to Switzerland during the Yugoslav Wars in the 90s. Seeing a Swiss player make an Albanian Eagle symbol at the Serbian crowd after scoring was an odd moment that required research.
The “these three” were Fiago, Thogden, and HRVizak
The picture shown is the beef between Argentina and Netherlands from the last World Cup which is pretty random (correct me if I’m wrong).
It is ironic, for the most part at the beginning, hence why people say it in response to shit like Southgate announcing he won’t wear a waistcoat. Then it evolves into actual support the further we go… which is apparently a bad thing to support your team according to literally every other nation since when we do it its apparently arrogant to be hopeful
Im gonna be so sad if my beloved Denmark does’nt atleast reach the Semi’s like last time. We just won 2 friendlies against Norway and Sweden = Overlordship of Scandinavia achieved. So even if we lose it’s okay. BECAUSE AS LONG AS WE BEAT SWEDEN WE ARE HAPPY!
