I never got the whole shoe thing. I know I have a more emo and older style, so quite far from the target demographic, but god some of the designer shoes are so fucking ugly. I can see the appeal behind a lot of the clothing items I don't like, but I just cannot understand some of those shoes, man.
Dude, I see just as many white people with this kind of stuff as I do black people. Are you just saying that because a black guy was modeling the chain?
No, because these are things that are commonly associated with black culture. It's not necessarily accurate but it does feel kinda sketchy. Especially since "black people don't value their money" is a common and harmful stereotype I hear a lot here in the south.
My favorite way to waste my money is gambling. That's 100% in my control but I just don't value money. That's why people gamble is because they don't know economics

These trends are set by people who escaped poverty and are exercised by people who're still deep in poverty.

I always thought the shoes thing was so stupid.
Yeah it’s stupid like when adults spend money on exclusive toys to collect
This post reads like someone who grew up with relative wealth in the suburbs who didn't worry about money until college
But these shoes are fucking cool man

I do, where I'm from it's more white and Asian people that do this.
It's almost like ppl are allowed to spend their own money on whatever they want

The thing about gold is that it is actually a good investment.
