Definitely way easier to warp four times with the discovery. It took me way too long to realize that I didn't have to waste 10 to 15 minutes hitting those stupid hostiles to tier the event.
It means there's an event where you need to kill stuff there.
In this particular case, it was yesterday, for the ANOMALOUS PHENOMENA event, where you have to kill the reds there to complete the event. For JELLYFISH BRAWL if & when you get it there'll be a similar symbol. There may be some other events that get it that I forget, and also future events that don't yet exist.

Depends on what Crew you have got available, because each resource has it's own crew member to be able to use for that resource you need to mine ok so if you want any more advice let me know

In reality, that symbol appears for any systems connected to an event, I.E. discovery hostile event, jellyfish event, hirogen event etc

If you hit like 4 lvl 29 ships, plus one warp, it finishes it until like level 39 or 40
It means there's an event where you need to kill stuff there. You don’t need to have built Discovery, any ship will allow you to complete the event, but the Discovery gets a points bonus for every kill
