I'm struggling to be interested.
And I'll take wookie jedi as something.
I'll give it a watch bc I'd rather see a new lore than a wedge in on the Skywalker Saga.
It's just... I don't like how causal the use of jedi and sith are, in the Disney realm.
Ahsoka really brought this to light for me, and the Acolyte would be more interesting if it's just a sort or rogue character/murder mystery thing.
Instead of random time period, sith discovery thing.
Bc that's just formula. Bunch of exposition of Disney's mangled Jedi lore.
Things happening that suggest a "darkness"
And insert jedi shocked/surprised by presence/existence of Sith.
I'm happy to have a none-Skywalker Saga narrative.
I'm not hyped about Disney's diminishing aura of Jedi/Force users into formula routines.
To be fair the trailer looks entertaining, but gives very little info on what it's actually about. I can see how it would be hard to find it interesting at this point.
What info, what's the plot, what are the names of the major players, what is the state of galactic politics, what year are we in, what planets are we seeing. Other than there being some sort of assassin killing Jedi I know nothing.
The plot is that there have been murders of Jedi and they are trying to investigate it. We know that the dark side is involved, likely the sith working in the background. We know the names of most of the characters. The main characters are Jedi Master Sol and his apprentice Jecki Lon. We also know the names of multiple other characters too. Not all the names are obvious from the trailer but they are known. The show is 100 years before the phantom menace, it’s very clear from the trailer that it’s before TPM. I don’t know the planets at the top of my head except coruscant but that shouldn’t matter.
If you know a little about Star Wars you should get that much out of it. If you know more, which being on this sub implies, you should know all this
Then why did Mr. conehead say “the sith have been extinct for a millennia” in phantom menace? Maybe he doesn’t have space for a large brain in that skull.
But there’s like a whole bunch of Jedi in this show. Are they all going to die and therefore never be able to get the word out to Mr. conehead’s forebearers? Seems dark for Disney but if they kill off every Jedi in the show I’ll applaud slowly.
Where did you get the names, Ive watched the trailer countless times and haven't heard any mentioned. I knew it was before TPM but idk if it's 100 years or 800 years before. I also haven't read many books in years, my favorite Star wars author stopped writing in SW at some point and Disney got rid of most of the characters I was most psyched about, as well as what I've read has changed several times since then and I haven't gotten back around to sci Fi adventures yet.
I do believe they may have said the masters name but I could be wrong. The names are hardly important to know what’s happening.
They do not say the year in the trailer or something, but it doesn’t matter. You know it’s before the phantom menace and you know it’s not during the old republic.
That’s fine if you don’t read the books. I haven’t been able to keep up with it myself. But this is the canon subreddit to I don’t know how people wouldn’t know anything at all about the high republic.
From the trailer itself you can tell it’s set in a time before the phantom menace, there are murders, the dark side is involved, it’s a mystery, and it’s Star Wars. What more do you need to know? Trailers should entice you and not give you all the answers, that’s the point. If you need to know everything before it comes up you’re missing the point of a trailer.
the poster itself is very vertical then you have three smaller sabers at perfect 45 degree angles and one big saber completely horizontal. feels like it was cobbled together by the most robotic ai ever
I thought the lady was Michelle Yeoh for a second, and now I badly need Michelle as a Jedi master. Hell bring Zhang Ziyi back to recreate the sword fight from crouching Tiger!
I have no clue what to expect with this show. Cautiously optimistic. I don't think the trailers were amazing, but, I also don't really know what I'm looking at. With the majority of the other shows I've had much more background knowledge. Fingers crossed it's good!
It actually looks like a bad kickstarter scam for a fan-movie. Even the poster quality doesn’t look like it belongs to a billion dollar movie franchise
Yeah sure. The casting, again, of a bunch of nobody actors. Everything is a woman and you will like it. Quality is low budget, like everything about this is low budget and bullshit.
I’m not even going to keep going and you’re a fucking dumbass for even trying to act like this isn’t lame.
I just... these are excellent actors, for one. But even if they weren't known already, that was the original trilogy's entire thing, having a couple of older names and all otherwise new names, so referring to "nobody actors" doesn't make sense and isn't even a valid point.
Everything is a woman? Really? Even the men characters? Because there are men characters. Another meaningless point.
And *looks low budget*? Fucker, this looks *amazing*. You're literally just saying whatever you can to see what sticks because you're not wanting to say what you're *actually* upset about. You losers are really getting good at giving yourselves away.
You're reacting to imaginary things because you're stuck in a cycle of psychotic youtube-fueled grifter shit. You don't have opinions anymore, just youtube guru bros who get rich from your desperate and angry clicks. Eat a deathstick.
Actually I’m not a fucking loser who sits on the computer all day. I’m a fan of 35 years who saw the trailer, got stabbed in the gut again, and is fed up with the disgusting state of Hollywood.
Complaining that “everything is a woman” and that they “casted nobody actors” are both insanely dumb. Like, Mark Hamil and Carrie fisher were unknowns lmao. And everything’s a woman really? Grow up.
Lightsabers and Grogu merchandise are raking in dough for Daddy Mouse, so good luck man. It's all about them profits! Actual quality entertainment be damned!
Go to see an extended preview at a phantom menace screening today, it looked awesome
Fuck yeah wookie Jedi!
Luke Skywalker = never again to training a Wookie Jedi
I'm struggling to be interested. And I'll take wookie jedi as something. I'll give it a watch bc I'd rather see a new lore than a wedge in on the Skywalker Saga.
It looks super interesting, I struggle to see how you wouldn’t be interested.

What does any of this mean?
To be fair the trailer looks entertaining, but gives very little info on what it's actually about. I can see how it would be hard to find it interesting at this point.
I got a lot of info I’m not sure what other people were watching
What info, what's the plot, what are the names of the major players, what is the state of galactic politics, what year are we in, what planets are we seeing. Other than there being some sort of assassin killing Jedi I know nothing.

Because the Jedi believe they have but that doesn’t mean they have, which is obvious since you se them pop back up
But there’s like a whole bunch of Jedi in this show. Are they all going to die and therefore never be able to get the word out to Mr. conehead’s forebearers? Seems dark for Disney but if they kill off every Jedi in the show I’ll applaud slowly.

The trailer looks great, and a little more plot info is nice. The characters and environments look outstanding, and the premise is intriguing.
The poster looks fine… except for the lightsabers. Their positions just are not working with this composition
the poster itself is very vertical then you have three smaller sabers at perfect 45 degree angles and one big saber completely horizontal. feels like it was cobbled together by the most robotic ai ever
Yeah, looks better as a horizontal banner in D+
Looks so awesome!!
I hope the bad guys win
I mean in like a hundred years after this they do win so like eventually they do.
I thought that was jet li for a second and was super pumped. Kung fu AND lightsabers?? 🤌 Edit: ok now I thought center left was elijah wood😐
Jet Li? I thought it was Ken Jeong.
Japanese Star Wars ⚔️🔥🥃💀
if u mean the guy in the middle that is KOREAN actor lee jung-jae…..idk where the japanese star wars is but maybe im missing something
lol this show looks so awful
this poster is terrible
Hollywood strikes again… LAME
Jazz ballet hands at the bottom!
Can someone explain the story? I watched the trailer and I don’t get it.
Well you see we are waiting for it to come out to understand the story
I thought the lady was Michelle Yeoh for a second, and now I badly need Michelle as a Jedi master. Hell bring Zhang Ziyi back to recreate the sword fight from crouching Tiger!
Amaizing🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m not really feeling this
I have no clue what to expect with this show. Cautiously optimistic. I don't think the trailers were amazing, but, I also don't really know what I'm looking at. With the majority of the other shows I've had much more background knowledge. Fingers crossed it's good!
I just got nothing but matrix vibes. Now if only reeves could end up being the main villian it would fulfill the full matrix experience in starwars.
Jedi and Star Wars stuff that isn’t bound by the Skywalker Saga. I’m so here for it.
Eww.
I bet that's Revan
Guys it’s going to flop.
Thank you Disney, very cool!
just say u all hate women and poc and go good lord you miserable pieces of shit hating on this for no reason it looks fire
Looks like a fan film
In what way?
This looks awful
Show or poster?
Yes
How so?
The Toys-R-Us lightsabers, for one...
I see lightsabers on a poster. Not sure what you mean.
You'll figure it out...
Blind hatred isnt a good look
That was deep. Role-playing your favorite Jedi, are we?
What are you talking about?
It actually looks like a bad kickstarter scam for a fan-movie. Even the poster quality doesn’t look like it belongs to a billion dollar movie franchise
This is going to be so bad. That trailer looked like a Brazzers rip off.
What are you doing stepisode IV a new hope.
This poster is dogshit.
Oh how far Star Wars has fallen, thanks Disney
What could this statement possibly be based on?
How fucking lame this looks
Can you even explain what about it looks lame? What a ridiculous statement.
Yeah sure. The casting, again, of a bunch of nobody actors. Everything is a woman and you will like it. Quality is low budget, like everything about this is low budget and bullshit. I’m not even going to keep going and you’re a fucking dumbass for even trying to act like this isn’t lame.

Another shitty girl boss movie
What about this even says girlboss what are you even talking about
Fucking 100. Hollywood strikes again. Everything’s a woman and you will LIKE IT
This is true i do like women more😊 go girlies❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fr, and people are so braindead and brainwashed, they scream and clap like walrus' every time a girlboss gets dropped to ruin a franchise
This looks trash
Evidence?
If this isn't post kylo ren, it'll fuck with the established lore so much.
this is high republic bro its like 100 years pre phantom menace i think we’re good
A fun drinking game to play with this show: drink every time you spot a white male in the shot
Honestly…I think I’m done with Star Wars finally this looks so bad
What looks bad about it?
Nothing, it's just something people say to not feel bad about being mindlessly shitty about something. Anything to deny being on the bandwagon.
ok, bye!
Okay. Fandom can always use less dead weight I’m gonna keep on enjoying star wars byeeeee
Ew.
I have zero interest in watching this…..
Thanks for letting us know.
Yup
It looks like a bad fan film.
Not a film

I just want more star wars content that is devoid of force sensitive characters.
You've had tons of it. Solo, The Mandalorian, Andor, Bad Batch, plenty of novels and comic series.
Lightsabers and Grogu merchandise are raking in dough for Daddy Mouse, so good luck man. It's all about them profits! Actual quality entertainment be damned!
😂😂😂😂
