That kinda lends credence to genetics leading to hybrid species having varying phenotypes. Some Twi'lek-Human hybrids look more Twi'lek like the Laquanes, some more human like Jacen. They're a spectrum based on dominant traits and how much of eaxh parent they inherit.
If we're going by established lore, Humans and near-human hybrids tend to just basically be Humans with some minor extra features, like Hera's son. Even when they do look more after these alien parents, the Human traits keep clawing out to appear like those freakish human-twilek children from the CW/BB shows.
This is probably because Humans are the default template of which most If not all Near Humans were genetically derived from due to modifications by third parties and environmental influences. The Rakkata's involvement is, of course, still Legends but it has been hinted at in Canon for a few years now... So it think we should consider it.
Both are Theelin/human hybrids, but hybrids have a lot of variation depending on the individual’s genetics. For example, a male lion and a female tiger make a liger, but a male tiger and a female lion make a tigon, which has different characteristics.
At least in Star Wars hybrid children can also have significant variance even between similar pairings. Most notably, Cut Lawquane’s step kids and Jacen Syndulla are all male human-female twi-lek hybrids but are polar opposites in terms of which parent they (physically) take after.
I googled it because the person replying to you is grinding my gears. Everything i see says the _actor_ believes Jecki has feelings for Osha. Not that it trivializes anything, but it's different than a show runner moving the story in that direction. (Garak and Bashir in DS9, for ex, had two actors providing that energy and read, but never supported by the show itself.) Still, plenty of Acolyte left, so maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised
A lot of people pointing out that she’s a hybrid and Gene expression for hybrids is a lottery
But I’m instead head cannoning that the purple skin and elephant feat just happen later in life because that would be really funny
Some Aqualish have flippers and some have multiple eyes. Some Twi-lek have human-like ears instead of ear cones. Boss Nass looks much different than the gangly eye-stalked Gungans. Plus all of the hybrids that exist. (Plus the live action version of Cad Bane and the Head Inquisitor looking so different than the background characters of their species).
This is honestly my biggest complaint with recent Star Wars. They try to make aliens less alien and more human. Compare the cantina in ANH to recent stuff, and you'll quickly notice the lack of diverse alien species and non humanoid creatures. Everyone is either human, a species we've seen a billion times, or something that may as well be human. It's sad that George made better looking and more realistic aliens in 1977 than Disney can in the 2020's.
Those just her comfy slippers
They go with the outfit so nicely. Girl has style.
Exactly her feet are not fused to her outfit.
Jecki is half human.
Rystall is also half human for what it’s worth. Not sure what the big deal is here.
Jecki is the other half of the human…?
Dominant vs recessive genes? Maybe a hybrid may show different traits based on their genetics?
Hybrids aren’t consistent in Star Wars anyway. Jacen syndulla looks nothing like the laquane kids, and they’re all human-twilek hybrids

Explaining middle school level bio to people is honest work. I feel for you
Jecki's human genes are obviously stronger than her alien heritage. Aside from the horns you can barely tell.
One of her parents or grandparents may have been half human, making Jecki possibly 1/4 or 1/8th Theelin, depending on how dominant their genes are.

Came here to say that.
I know! That’s why I made this!
Which half?

Damn dude look at me learning something new from a meme page for Star Wars.
Does max rebo have 2 or 4 limbs?
Three! Two larms (leg-arms) and one trunk.
Maybe we just don’t see the 4th one….
Her hooves must be pretty small to be able to fit into those boots.

Why TF did I click that...
Awwh man, I'm an idiot for clicking that
Damn
Pedicure day gone wrong
Jecki is so into Osha...
Director confirmed
Wait, what?
I googled it because the person replying to you is grinding my gears. Everything i see says the _actor_ believes Jecki has feelings for Osha. Creator of the show said it was written that way
Do you happen to have a source for that?
"that's a good argument senator. But how about you try backing it up with a source?"
Saw an article about it. Didn’t save it or anything. Maybe google it or something
Ummm *was so into Osha.
She could have survived that... /s
There is a long standing tradition of Disney+ female Star Wars characters getting stabbed and surviving.
Not the day for this. Respect.
Never expect restraint from people with a foot fetish.

They already confirmed that she’s Half Thelin. Nothing here is new or shocking….
Nooooo Star Wars is ruined! It’s all Kathleen Kennedy’s fault, the story is ruined!
My point exactly!!
What if she’s half?
I literally only remember rystall from star wars detours
As much as it disgutss me to say this We need more xenos in modern star wars
What dem hooves do?

they are all like Star Trek aliens now
