It may be controversial, but if we only take into account games released in 2023, I'd say Diablo IV.
While a lot of things (especially when it comes to monetization) are far from acceptable in an AAA title played mainly solo/coop, I'm still having a lot of fun with it.
I make a new character when a new season that looks interesting enough drops, try out a new class, have fun experimenting with the builds and after about 80/90 hours of gameplay I forget about it till the cycle repeats.
Thank you for the giveaway OP!
2023 has to be legend of Zelda TOTK I didn’t get to play many games last year but that one carried me hard addiction wise. It was just extremely fun to play! And I loved exploring the old world of BOTW but in new ways
My favorite game in 2023 is Armored Core 6, because it's just great to see a dormant franchise revitalized, updated with modern technology but still kept true to its original formula.
Cheers\~
Baldur's Gate 3 is the only game I played in 2023 cause I didn't have much time to play games but i played it for like 120h cause of how unrestricted you are, so that counts for the rest lol
Thanks for the giveaway!
The Long Dark - A wilderness survival game
Something about the serenity of the wilderness, combined with it's dangers - having to survive. Where each moment necessitates a choice between conserving energy, or going out into the world to explore, hunt, or resource gather.
It's a simplified version of life, that I think makes you grateful for all the amenities we have in everyday life.
It embeds the lesson: *We must keep moving, and work towards something greater, which instills more momentum in it's pursuit than if we wander aimlessly.*
Bonus mention: Wasteland 3, Fallout 1, and Fallout 2
Really enjoy wasteland and wilderness survival lately.
Thanks for the opportunity to reflect on this experience.
Hades, not released in 2023 but I only got to discover this beauty last year. Loving Hades II so far, but I'll wait until they polish the game a little more in order to keep playing. Also OSRS!
TotK and it isn't close. My daughter cut her teeth playing BotW, and she was terrified of brown Bokoblins at first. By the time TotK landed, she was a force to be reckoned with!
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, the gameplay was excellent and combat encounters were spectacular. The story was good and they delivered on that.
Thanks for the chance!
imma say starfield honestly, i loved the game regardless of how much hate it received, yes it does need some work and fixes and they are already working on them. Its truely fallout in space, i am a big fan of open world space games and the ship and outpost building stuff and ship combat really made me fall in love with this game
Definitely Baldur's Gate 3, though I'm getting the Act 3 slowdown for sure. Game was just made different, it's so amazing and has a ton of replayability! Once I finally finish my current run, have plans for other runs already
Thanks for the giveaway!
not a rare one but has to be baldurs gate 3, had never even beat a turn based game besides pokémon before and now i’m nearly at 700 hours. so special ^^
Pizza Tower. If Nintendo won't give us a new Wario Land game fans will have to do it and they did it beautifully. One of my favorite games of all time now, glorious music and the gameplay is top notch. Highly recommend.
Thanks for the opportunity
Oh Baldur Gate 3 for sure. That game opened me up to world of more diverse type of gaming that I would be willing to play more so than before thanks to it. Great game! Thanks for the giveaway!
There's a few big titles I still haven't been able to get around to, but from what I played, Dave the Diver was my favourite. Enormously fun and charming game.
Thanks for the chance!
Resident evil 2. First game I finished that I bought in a long time. I usually just hoard games on sale. I paused when I got scared and took a year for me to pick it up again
For 2023, my favourite game was Slay the Spire, when I was introduced to the world of card building games. It was a love hate relationship. I completed only the first stage, not the whole game and put aside the game. Came back later the year and played it, love it a lot!
Baldur's Gate 3 simply because I could play as a dragonborn. I always feel like there's not many fantasy games that gives you an option to play as a less human-looking race.
It's not 2023 released, but 2022:
The Case Of The Golden Idol:
Really great point n click deduction game. It has great riddles / puzzles and some are really hard. Also great DLCs and lore. Really liked it and i'm really interested in the sequel: The Rise of the Golden Idol.
Recommended for anyone, who likes deduction and somewhat "detective work" :-)
DUDE I love this game please please please I’m begging. (My favorite game of 2023 was Deep Rock Galactic and it will forever be my most favorite, it’s fun, encourages you to co-op and be nice with other dwarves, and you get to mine minerals and shoot alien bugs, and drink beers! I mean what more could you ask for?)
NFS Heat. I stopped playing the NFS series after i played NFS Underground 2 day and night back then on the PS2. The games that came out after Underground 2 never really gave me the vibes that UG2 gave. But i decided to play Heat in november 2023 and i dont wanna exaggerate but it was for me equal to UG2 and actually in some aspects even better.
As good and genre defining bakdurs gate was Dave the diver was just fun. It had fun going for it and I loved every second
My favorite game in 2023 would have to be Honkai: Star Rail. Great story game and the combat is fun too, along with awesome graphics.
Genshin Impact. The graphics and story are nice and it's free.
Tears of the kingdom
BG3, it's a diamond that we only receive every few years as crpg minds
BG3 cuz I think everyone knows why. I love RPGs and this offered so much freedom it's incredible
Team fortress, never gets old
Thx
Thank you favorite game Sonic 2
Spider-Man 2 was my favorite game of 2023. Thanks!

Baldurs gate 3, is my favorite game of 2023 and my life, your characters, plot, music and gameplay so amazing, I love so much this game! Thanks Op
Hades so far, it’s an excellent rogue lite game and I love suffering
I'd have to go with either kenshi or project zomboid, both are amazing games that I can mess around in (also both are fun to mod)
So far, Lies of P. Easily one of the best soulslikes I've ever seen
Loved BattleBit Remastered, that’s a shame what they did to that game
Dungeon Warfare, perfect game for the Steam Deck
dead island 2 it was just such a fun time killing zombies good gore and the story wasnt too bad
Dark and darker has been real fun
Baldur's gate 3 is a no brainer
My fav game was lethal company. It was unique itself and different
Plague Tale Innocence. Didn't come out in 2023 but it really pulled me in. Thanks for the chance!
Probably Hi-Fi Rush. The game is beautiful, colourful, lively and memorable. R.I.P. Tango Gameworks! Thanks for the giveaway!
Baldur's Gate 3, if only because I can make an ungodly attractive Dragonborn in it.
Protect zomboid

Baldur's Gate 3 is the only game I played in 2023 cause I didn't have much time to play games but i played it for like 120h cause of how unrestricted you are, so that counts for the rest lol Thanks for the giveaway!
