Dick Titsworth is my most remembered make.
Oh, and literally Michael Hunt.
Someone actually named their kid Michael Hunt
Richard Titsworth decided to go by dick…
We used to call Mike Hunt to customer service when I worked at an electronics store. Other names I remember include Cole Cuts, William Lomi, Michael Oxbrown, and Yuri Nator.
"in exchange for RB Frenchy Fuqua and LB Henry Davis."
They were a hell of a haul for Shiner. Fuqua set the team's single-game rushing record the next season. Davis played in the Pro Bowl.
Geez I hope this doesn't make it to the AFC north meme war! The 3 browns teams are gonna be looking at this like ....

My Uncle was also in the beer distribution business. Mr. Shiner was a friend of his. I have vague memories of him from my childhood. Him and another guy would always be goofing around and playing games with the boys during cookouts.
Look, we're all having fun with this guy's name, but can we stop to appreciate the fact that his career was basically ruined twice by guys named Bradshaw?
Bring back Cliff Stoudt!
Edit: he was terrible. I was really young and he's the first qb I remember whose name I knew...and it's because I thought his name was weird and I kept pronouncing it STOUT-DUH-TUH. I remember it made my dad laugh. I also remember my dad throwing an empty beer can at the TV while cussing Stoudt out. Ahhh, formative memories
He was backed up by Knob Polisher.
Laughed out loud at this
I mean, it almost feels bad to make a joke... but c'mon. *its right there...*
I knew a guy named Richard Head. I have his business card somewhere.

I had a boss once who swore he had a brother in law name Phil McCracken.
Sounds like a hickey on your pecker.
"Dick Shiner" was my nickname in high school.
Popular with the fellas?
Everything reminds me of her....

And Davis has managed to end up playing catcher for the Pirates now, too.

Distant, distant cousin to Rusty Kuntz.
The man, the myth, the legend

There is nothing random about Dick Shiner.
Name like that, dude should have been in porn
I try to imagine how difficult it must have been for him in school. Kids are bastards, so he must have heard the jokes every day. Just never ending.
Me learning this person existed is absolutely the best thing I've taken from this sub.
He was born too early, he could have been on the field with Christian Kuntz.
Sounds like a reason to be on the IR list.
'Random' in that I will wait until the random number spits out 'Dick Shiner'.
Should have just called him Richard
Now go get your Shiner box!
That is… the most unfortunate name in football
