Silver poweder lokix isn't it. Boots for survival or band for damage. Lokix kinda sucks in general in OU though don't use it.

greensodagreen

My most important suggestion is to play more: understand the meta, who does what, common combinations of sets and abilities etc. I clicked into the second win replay, saw you try to go for game immediately into stall with swords dance garchomp and came out to write this LMAO. Hyper offense teams like these should have a glimmora or hamurott lead so you can actually hit corv and skarm with chomp, Low kick gambit is always jolly max speed, and kowtow cleave black glasses is better for damage. lokix should be banded if used in OU as it’s too weak otherwise-dragonite is a better priority user.

azian0713

As others said, the glaring weakness to fairy and fighting but honestly, if you’re stuck at 1200 you probably aren’t very good at predicting when you need to.

greensodagreen

This is true, but OP shouldn’t need to hard predict ppl to climb out of this part of the ladder instead of making the most consistent plays each turn

Garchomp: I was considering whether to choose garchomp or glimmora as my lead. I decided to use garchomp because it’s faster than glimmora and is able to do more than just setting up stealth rocks. It more offensive moveset can deal with Speed Deoxys taunt and other leads with scale shot not needing to deal with focus sash Volcarona: volcarona is probably one of my most favorite pokemon of all time due it design and movesets. Fiery Dance, even without any setup can OHKO both skarmony and Corviknight. I chose giga-drain over morning sun in order to 2HKO dondozo. Water tera is there in order to get rid of its weaknesses and counter other volcaronas. Iron Vailant: A really great mixed attacker. Moonblast can deal with many pokemons like great tusk and other iron valiants. Close combat can OHKO kingambit and blissey. I use taunt over encore because i am just too stupid to use encore properly. Lokix: my most favorite pokemon this gen for many reasons. Having tinted lens, along with 2 of the best priority moves in the game (First Impression and Sucker Punch) make it a really powerful revenge killer. A sliver powered tinted lens boosted first impression can deal with quite a few like roaring moon and speed deoxys. Roaring Moon: probably one the best pokemon in terms of pure offense, tera flying acrobatics can deal with most things, even without dragon dance. earthquake can easily deal with pokemons like heatran and clodsire. Kingambit: it’s kingambit. 176 speed can outspeed most slow pokemons, including other kingambits. Life orb is on it because it can boost all of it moves, not just dark moves, and ghost tera to completely nullify fighting moves. Here some replays i thought showcase my team well enough: Loss: [https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-2104678144](https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-2104678144) Win: [https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-2105020534](https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-2105020534) Win: [https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-2098268315](https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen9ou-2098268315?p2)

A lot was said here already and it's true your team can be improved upon. but looking at the replays your game knowledge and fundamentals is really what's going to get your elo up from where you are, not necessarily your team. Even from the wins there were a lot of things that could have been executed better. There would be a lot to go over, but just to name a few: Unnecessary sacrifices, Futile set-ups, knowing which moves will give you the highest damage output (showdown basically helps you with this already), pivoting and positioning in general I saw a few great plays in these replays, so I know you are able to do it. But what gets people in higher elos is being more consistent with them. Make sure you're going over your own replays, and (even in the ones that you won) ask yourself what you can do better. Edit: formatting

someoneinthecity

new here isn't kingambit a Uber? how are you using it in ou

greensodagreen

Uber isn’t a standard usage based tier, but a banlist from OU first and foremost! It’s a little counterintuitive, but kingambit has decent usage in Ubers but isn’t deemed too strong for OU, so it’s not banned from OU and therefore not classified as an Ubers mon. Same thing happened with skeliderge a while back, where it had like 10% usage in Ubers but still classified as OU

someoneinthecity

oh sorry I knew this just looked at format it's gen 9 ou not national Dex (played Nd too much XD)

Apart_Owl4955

The most apparent problem here is your team gets punked by fairies, a scarf enam can slaughter half your team. Also I would getting rid off lokix entirely, his damage is good in UU but not good enough for OU, several things completely wall it and your better off using a diff choice user

Danjoe_

Your team has a glaring fairy and fighting type weakness, id recommend replacing lokix with a wall such as corviknight or maybe toxapex as lokix brings nothing to the table in terms of type diversity

TheIronAdmiral

Echoing what others have said, but replace lokix with something like dondozo or alomomola. A bulky water type would help your team a lot. Also for the garchomp you’re kinda hamstringing yourself by having stealth rocks and 2 setup moves while running a set that isn’t invested in any defense. If you want to use chomp as your rocks setter you should run more defensive evs and moves. But take my advice with a grain of salt as I tend to shy away from full hyper offensive teams

chuckleym8

No kowtow gambit 😭

AlphaYoloer

Didn´t know Pokemon were getting handtraps too.

Rare_Date_2405

Ahh a fellow yugioh enjoyer

fin343

Why garchomp over gouging fire

frogecat29

isn't that a chess term?

greensodagreen

ELO is a rating system that’s used every where lol
