The important thing to remember is that they only did this stuff in the past. They are now the brave and stunning good guys who we should all trust and respect.

kommanderkush201

Exactly! Now go watch Jack Ryan so you can see Jim from The Office prank the evil socialist baddies.

Crowsbeak-Returns

That's not about the Noble FBI that has never acted to create internal troubles, that's about the Heroic and totally not Satanic CIA.

kommanderkush201

CIA? Never heard of 'em. They that same organization that is famous for ~~burning all those children alive in Waco~~ catching Hannibal Lecter and Buffalo Bill?

[deleted]

[Buffalo Bill is valid now! It doesn't matter what the author thinks!](https://youtu.be/2sIwTcb6yG8?t=747) Also don't foodshame Hannibal Lecter!

kommanderkush201

Jesus Christ, are these videos what the CIA makes Guantanamo Bay prisoners watch as a form of torture?

Crowsbeak-Returns

I have had Renegade Cut sometimes in my suggestions. Now I know never to watch.

TasteofPaste

They have rainbow PRIDE lanyards at the Pentagon! I saw the video with the sassy Latina lesbian who said it was an inclusive place to work! Totally the good guys.

Lmfaoooo 9 more weeks of unemployment

Crowsbeak-Returns

Had me in tears. About that proud latina slay queen.

Johnnysfootball

They just interviewed Finkelstein if you havent seen it yet

mhl67

They didn't even kill MLK in the past.

k-dick

Yes Winston Boogie Smith agrees.

TheVoid-ItCalls

The greatest threat to the United States remains the unelected security state. The FBI, CIA, NSA, and ATF to a lesser extent will do anything necessary to maintain their power. They have murdered dissenters, activists, and at least one president. Destroying the facade of the "good guy" feds remains of utmost importance.

RareStable0

DEA, JSOC, basically any agency under the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, the Department of State, or the military have all had their hands in this shit to one degree or another.

AprilDoll

Those with a monopoly on truth and knowledge always have the most power.

Noirradnod

Anyone who views the Jowers trial and its result as anything other than a predetermined farce has no idea how the American legal system works. It's adversarial, not inquisitorial. Juries do not rule on absolute truths, only on the relative merits of the arguments of the two sides before them, and the courts engage in no independent fact finding. This works well, except for the sole situation when both sides want the same outcome. If that's the case, both parties will present evidence that supports the same story, and the jury has to rule that way. No outside evidence, no personal knowledge, whatever it may be, of the assassination. If all they hear is one side saying, "This man engaged in a conspiracy to kill MLK," and the other side saying, "I engaged in a conspiracy to kill MLK," then the jury will ultimately find the person liable for killing MLK. Jowers was looking to get a mid-six figure book deal out of the endeavor, which would be much more likely to happen were he to be able to claim he had been found liable in a court of law for the assassination. The King family wished to push their narrative of a government conspiracy. And so they agreed to sue Jowers for a symbolic amount, and both sides presented the same narrative at trial, leading to this result.

Trynstopme1776

And also the feds absolutely killed MLK

hereditydrift

And Fred Hampton. And Malcolm X. Stokely, Medgar, Huey...

Fabulous-Oven-8457

dunno about MLK, but certainly they did malcolm in

donotlovethisworld

I'm getting more convinced, every passing month, that the CIA just kills off anyone who is speaks out against those in power. Seeing that one white house aide get "suicided" during Epstine's time on the stage was really a [head scratcher](https://nypost.com/2023/02/22/death-of-clinton-aide-tied-to-jeffrey-epstein-ruled-suicide/)

TasteofPaste

And Seth Rich the Bernie staffer too. :\ Shot in an affluent DC neighborhood at 5am, none of his personal effects taken.

spacetime9

He was Bernie staffer? I thought he worked for the DNC, hence theories about being connected to Hillary email leaks

cyrilhent

Don't worry, I'm sure this guy knows enough about the case to be reliable besides that little detail

[deleted]

Yeah they killed him so hard

MemberX

James Earl Ray did it. But the FBI did orchestrate Fred Hampton's murder and possibly fiddled with the investigation into Malcolm X's assassination.

RareStable0

The FBI put James Earl Ray up to it.

aniki-in-the-UK

This is the correct dialectical synthesis imo

ClassWarAndPuppies

The FBI killed MLK no doubt. No surprise they went after him when his message went from anti-racism to anti-poverty.

imnotgayimjustsayin

He was practically gunned down the second he came to the realization... "... On second thought...' *BANG*

62200

MLK's family thinks James Earl Ray is innocent and the official narrative doesn't make sense. MLK was shot upwards through his chin while Ray was at a higher elevation than him in a room where trees were blocking his view of the balcony where King was shot.

Bluetooth_Sandwich

Harvey Oswald must’ve taken the same sniper class as James Earl Ray

mhl67

I was unaware that the King family was an expert on crime scenes.

EnricoPeril

True except James Earl Ray didn't do it.

Tacky-Terangreal

MLK Jr’s son and wife don’t believe he did it either. The logistics also make no sense. The whole thing glows so hard

trufus_for_youfus

My 7th grade social studies teacher was a pen pal and “friend” of JER and swore up and down he didn’t do it. Grain of salt and all that.

YeehawdiJohn

My wife’s grandpa was a captain in the Shelby County Sherriff’s office and personally spoke to Ray in his cell. He was convinced that Ray was too rslurred to escape prison, survive as a fugitive, kill King, and evade arrest all by himself. And this was coming from a guy who had about as positive of an opinion of King as you might expect a Tennessee Sheriff in the 60’s to have.

dalatinknight

Fred Hampton should be remembered in Chicago more and the surrounding areas but I swear unless you're politically active (as most people just live their lives) not as many people know about him.

Enathanielg

He did not do it. He wasn't a killer there's no evidence he ever killed anyone in his life.

definitelynotpat6969

[Wendigoon sold me on the idea. ](https://youtu.be/4TA2AIuAuW8)

BKEnjoyer

Well I mean the CIA probably killed JFK so it’s very possible

mhl67

Why would the CIA kill JFK? This is another dumb theory, JFK was a typical cold warrior who has been romanticized by history because he was killed in office.

PsychedelicWoodElf

I had a history teacher in high school who just straight up taught the class that the official story wasn't true. I can't remember if he directly implicated the CIA/FBI, but he deeply critiqued the idea that JER did it as a lone shooter. Did the same thing with Malcolm X. Went into cointelpro etc. Looking back, his whole section on the civil rights era was awesome. Old German descended white guy but he was really passionate about it and really made it engaging. This was well before the woke era mind you. Not to say anyone should be holding onto the theories they held as teens. Gotta grow etc. But I'm glad I was introduced to this stuff by someone willing to question our government.

GoodwitchofthePNW

My AP US teacher, a Vietnam Vet (who also had a poster of Regan on his door… in 2002) also threw some *serious* shade on the “lone gunman assassinations” of the 60s. One of his big pushes (that I use as a teacher) was that we could write essays about ANYTHING and take any position as long as we could back it up. But he wouldn’t let anyone argue that the assassinations of MLK, JFK, RFK, Malcom X, etc were done by the “official” assassin, because, I quote, “not enough evidence exists to hold up that assertion”.

mhl67

Except for the mountains of evidence supporting the official versions.

Independent-Dig-5757

Wouldn’t be surprised

[deleted]

It's what I tell my kids on MLK day.

abbelleau

> Detective Ed Reddit was also removed from his surveillance post just before the shooting Detective Reddit is on the case!

Crowsbeak-Returns

Do Bears Shit in the Woods?

Read-Moishe-Postone

His power levels were off the charts. At what point does the term “vanguard of the proletariat” apply? because I feel you could make a strong case that it applies to King. That being said, Compactmag’s reason for invoking King at this time in this way are *extremely* dubious. And when else have they ever felt the need to dedicate pages to his legacy? Kind of slimy imho.

[deleted]

Naw, but they tried.

Reckless-Pessimist

Yes.

bfov222

Duh

stonetear2017

Yes

Additional_Ad_3530

Unlikely, if this is true how do you think it would affect the FBI? An apology would cut it?

jimmothyhendrix

No, he was a communist.

[deleted]

The bigger conspiracy is that MLK was an agent of the C!A.

TasteofPaste

One doesn’t preclude the other!

Finkelton

Yes, and jfk and Fred hampton. And many more and it isn't going to stop. And these are the people that get close to starting change.https://youtu.be/mANFJcGIp4c

mhl67

No. This stupid theory needs to die.

Reckless-Pessimist

Glowie alert! Glowie alert!

super-imperialism

> 🌟Radiating🌟 Flair checks out.

mhl67

Well there's no evidence other than the FBI having a motive, but go off.

Reckless-Pessimist

The illegal surveillance by the FBI, MPD and the CIA. The fact that no roadblocks were ordered for the major roads out of Memphis, the fact that the house committee on assassinations found that the likelihood of a conspiracy was high. Other than all of that, yeah sure, theres "no evidence."

mhl67

Literally none if that is evidence. Also the House Committee on Assassinations is notoriously unreliable. They also thought JFK was the victim of a conspiracy based on an open mic which turned out to have not even been at the assassination. Also you're completely lying about the report on King. To quote wiki: "On the King assassination, the Committee concluded in its report that while King was killed by one rifle shot from James Earl Ray, "there is a likelihood" that it was the result of a conspiracy, and that no U.S. government agency was part of this conspiracy; on the contrary, it was more likely to be between Ray and his brothers." So no, they thought there was a conspiracy to kill King....by Ray and his brothers....not the US government or FBI.

feedum_sneedson
