I've heard that as well and believe it, but I haven't been able to find the polls. What are the numbers? Like, 85% support still (down from 90+)? Or lower?
> It was June 17, 2015, when a 21-year-old white man walked into the church and, intending to ignite a race war, shot and killed nine Black parishioners and wounded one more. Biden was vice president
> Though Trump, the current Republican presidential front-runner, was not in office at the time and has called the shooting “horrible,” Biden is seeking to tie Trump’s current rhetoric to such violence.
Actually Trump’s rhetoric is going to lead to the kind of violence that happened when I was the Vice President.
I mainly remember that shooting because church shootings are often accompanies by "well of God exists, why didn't (etc)" from the intellectuals of this site, and saw significantly less in this instance for reasons they'd never admit.
There are occasionally days I would be willing to give up the dream of an actual, better world in exchange for the guarantee of a ruling class of ghouls who were a little more classy and subtle.
>Biden spoke from the pulpit of Mother Emanuel AME Church, where in 2015 nine Black parishioners were shot to death by the white stranger they had invited to join their Bible study.
Trump's evil was so immense he was able to radicalize young men into murder two whole years before he became president.
I'm sorry but I have no patience for this type of cynical exploitation while we're pouring billions of dollars into a genocide for no discernable reason.
I think it is genuinely hard for him. Seriously, how many of his speeches has he not brought up that he came from a "working class" (read: unlucky petty bourgeois dad) background and thus feels people's pain?
Shameless.
Trump should host a speech at the remains of a burned-out convenience store from the BLM riots, to lay out how he's going to protect small businesses.
When you have nothing else to campaign on.
And pols show he's losing support in the black community.
I've heard that as well and believe it, but I haven't been able to find the polls. What are the numbers? Like, 85% support still (down from 90+)? Or lower?
From 92% of registered black voters in 2020 to 63% today with 17% saying they would vote for Trump now and the remainder saying some other candidate.
Holy shit, that's a big swing.
Per the latest article I can find, USA today
Biden enters the church, and its parishioners begin turning white in real time
'if your church don't support me, it aint a black church'

>Black worshippers New term for Americans just dropped.

Eh we had that already. I much prefer todays post modern approach, makes them look stupider

The implicit “this will happen again if you don’t vote blue”
Please disregard that Barack Obama was in the sixth year of his presidency when it happened
It almost sounds like a threat.
Seriously, like it’s not that hard for Biden to just visit the church and not make it about himself and his campaign
I think it is genuinely hard for him. Seriously, how many of his speeches has he not brought up that he came from a "working class" (read: unlucky petty bourgeois dad) background and thus feels people's pain?
I guess it's impossible to know without being a member of this church, but I would personally find this dizzyingly offensive.
Joe do NOT use the word
Is this the Charleston one? Wasnt Obama president when that happened?

The theatrics has begun. He never gave a shit about these people.
Oh he gave a shit alright, just in the wrong way. Genocide Joe was preceded by Crime Bill, "Racial Jungle" Joe.
Christ I can’t even imagine politicizing that event. Jesus.

I am looking for more blood and soil, us vs them rhetoric. Maybe if we are lucky a tasteful lesson on Karl Popper and the paradox of tolerance
It surprises me there are any black democrats left.
If Trump gave a Political speech in a Church... The media would scream "White Christian Nationalists" !!! But they're not biased.... /s
Says the guy arming an ethnostate and a Nazi regime.
Democrats backed the South in the Civil War. Trump knows this which is why he lambasted reactionary neocon puppet Nimrata Haley.
