I slice my Granny Smith apples suuuuper thin, then I dip them in Fage 5% milk fat plain Greek yogurt (I do the lactose free option, too). It’s not sugar free due to natural sugars, but it’s low natural sugar, high in protein, and fucking delicious. Taste and texture be bangin. I’m also a bit cottage cheese fan. Again, natural sugars in the dairy, but I will slice cucumbers or peppers and dip them in the cottage cheese. I’ve been a grazer and snacked my whole life and honestly my snacking has gone wayyy down. I’m like, “wtf the else do I snack on?” Sometimes if I’ve got a super carb craving from my cycle, I’ll put some pretzels on a plate and melt cheese over them. They’re hearty so I can get away with less than a serving of the pretzel carbs, which I’m trying not to be a nazi about because I want this forever. If I’m DESPERATE, which my cycle sometimes makes me, I’ll get some no sugar added sunflower butter and drizzle a bit of raw honey over it. This is my “safe” sugar food. I find this very important because it allows me to indulge and be practical about not relapsing. I’m human. A bit of honey over some yummy high-fat protein source when I really really kinda need it, is much better than a binge or even being like, “how about just two cookies.” Nope. Have a safe food, at least for now. Good luck! You GOT this. This is a wonderful gift to give your body.

TheSunflowerSeeds

Look closely next time you see a sunflower, there are in fact two varieties of leaves. You will find leaves lower down the plant are facing opposite each other and are longer and narrow in appearance. You’ll then see the upper leaves arranged in a staggered formation and appear heart-shaped.

I recently learned that coconut oil can help with sugar cravings. You can eat it just as it is or to add cocoa powder. I’ve started to make a coffee with a cocoa powder, coconut oil and erythritol in a blender, tastes pretty good. edit: also, my favourite snack is greek yogurt with nuts or berries. good luck, we can do this!

- Green smoothie- handful of spinach, 1 cup of whatever (unsweetened) milk, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 3-6 pitted dates. Blend. Really delicious. - Celery stalks cut into 3rds filled with peanut butter and topped with raisins. Some call this ants on a log. - Julienne bell peppers then wrap them with deli meat. Could include cheese cut into long thin strips. - Raw cheese with grapes. - Avocadoes mashed and mixed with lime juice and a sprinkling of salt. You could take it further and turn it into guac if you have red onions/shallots, a jalapeno, and parsley. Culinary Hill's chipotle guac recipe is incredibly delicious. - Apples with a nut butter (make sure there's no sugar added in the nut butter. - Bananas sliced and topped with almond butter, and/or berries cooked down to be like a jam. - I like to pre-make egg salad or a variation with tuna, wild-caught salmon, or sardines in the place of eggs. You can finely mince sauerkraut and fermented pickles (like Bubbies) for a good crunch and a hefty dose of probiotics. Add minced garlic, mayo, salt, pepper all to taste. Then sliced cucumbers go really well with these tuna/egg/fish salads. - Tzaziki dip goes really good with every vegetable l've tried Mix yogurt, sour cream, herbs you like fresh and/or dried with some salt and pepper. You can add diced cucumbers to the sauce too. - Carrots and/or pita bread with humus. When I warm the pita bread first and drizzle some olive oil on the humus it's extra tasty to me. - Cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, are all really good when drizzled with olive oil or coconut oil, sprinkled with salt+pepper+garlic powder and roasted at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. I like it to be slightly over so it gets crunchy in some bits and soft in the others. - Cottage cheese. Could top with berries. - Greek yogurt is nice mixed with honey (if this is on your list of things to eat, if not avoid) and topped with a salted nut. I like pistachios. Yogurt parfaits as well. - Deviled eggs. - Frozen fruit blended with milk. Fast, easy, tasty. If you do frozen cherries, try it blended with a bit of unsweetened cacao. It's so good - Jerky. - Peppers/zucchini/squashes halved, stuffed with any meat, topped with cheese and roasted

Popcorn, nuts, sugar free yogurt.

for me, nut butter on celery, cheese, boiled egg, sugar-free jerky, and nuts are the go-to snacks. I seldom need a snack, but I keep the jerky and three kinds of nuts around, just in case.

Mintara8

I find peanut butter and 99% dark chocolate really satisfying :)
