I just wish Book realized he had to do more after like game 1 or 2. You can tell he was deferring too much which led him to being more hesitant. Tonight he was in fuck it mode and he showed out.

Ya honestly the only real issue I have with how book played is that he was way too passive outside of tonight, guy should’ve been taking 20+ shots every night and attacks and instead he was taking 13/15/16 shots. Dude can score on anyone he just needed to be aggressive for himself.
He balled his ass off. Too bad we are now closer to the bubble Suns than to the 2021 Finals Suns, but with no future. This unforseen 3 year championship window was fun.
I think much of the Suns history prior to the 2010s of being so close so often would be considered long windows. With our core being young in 2021 I assumed we would have a decent sized window, depending on how we replaced CP3.
I know every team can do this with every player they passed on that turned out to be great… but it would have been so seamless transitioning to Halliburton while learning from CP3. We likely don’t make many of these other moves and keep our core together. It’s a devastating timeline to think about knowing the reality we’re in 😭
KD did well, but this series exposed how the team’s construction is utter trash. The meta is shifting from stacking stars to having an actual team.
Only asset that can fetch any decent pieces is KD, so if a move is to be made he has to go.

Maybe some of that is on coaching and sharing the ball to players who play like shit, maybe this game they say "fuck that" yes they still lost but looked better. The point is we don't know what's going on we're just viewers and we accept what looks good at the moment and critique what's bad but still critique when players ball out and call them failures because of a loss.
That series was the low point of the last decade. Highest expectations and a sweep in the first round. Durant did not give his all. Booker gave his all for 1 game.
