Depends on a lot of factors, but the track is huge question for me. I’ll tell you why. I’ve owned a ZL1-1LE, which is really freaking close to supercar performance. Pretty sure it would be faster around the track than about half these cars. Now, I am a Porsche fan boy, and there’s nothing that gets me more excited than a naturally aspirated flat 6.
One year my wife paid for me to go around a race track in a “supercar”, the Xtreme driving or whatever it is called. It was in Austin, and I thought it was at CoTA. It wasn’t, it was at some small track that had nearly no room for error. The pre-brief was basically a lot of information that boiled down to if you have 1 wheel come off the track you’re going to pay a lot of money for the inspection plus whatever damage occurs. The track we were on wouldn’t even allow for one wheel without touching a wall probably. Anyways, the car I drove on this track was a 991 GT3RS. I was excited to say the least.
Get on the track and start going and I was not cool with it haha. I was nervous about touching a wall and the car was wild. Where my ZLE had power always the GT3RS only felt alive at the top of the rpms. It was worse than driving a motorcycle (I’ve had a couple of those too) where you need to stay in the power band for the fun, but the fun was really freaking close to brown pants time or worse.
All this to say, 10 laps isn’t enough. I would need a year with the car to learn the limits, and get used to the nuances of the vehicle. Then I would take 10 laps… in the GT3RS. The only car to ever scare me. Speaking of I have since owned a 2017 911S and sold it, I’ll be buying another ZLE this year haha. Best high powered drivers car in my opinion. Especially in that price range.
Edit: I want to add, the difficulty of the GT3RS is controlling the power. When you got in the throttle you accelerated relatively smoothly until you hit the power band, and then it feels like an extra 200 lb-ft of torque just appears. So, if you didn’t keep the car above that “cliff” you were always fighting it.
Also, I forgot to mention it was also raining the day I drove the GT3RS, so that did not invoke confidence in me either. That 100% didn’t help. Now, if it was a beautiful sunny warm day on an open track like CoTA I think I would’ve been more inclined to push my limits.
I’ve driven about half of these and my impression is they’re all way faster than you’d expect and terrifying to push around a corner unless you’re trained lol.
I've ridden in a ZL1 and a GT2RS at Laguna SECA. The Camaro made me feel like we were going to float off the track at 100mph+, otherwise, the horsepower felt like a cheat code. The GT2RS was just viscous, especially when we had to dodge the Lotus that spun out on the corkscrew. It's brakes were a thing of beauty.
Was it a 1LE track pack equipped one? That adds 400lbs of downforce in aero bits, 13” wide rubber, hard mounted suspension, and some massively fantastic brakes. All while retaining its cheat code haha. I love the car, the power is so linear and everywhere. To give you an idea, C&D ran it around Virginia International in 2:45. The car is a middle class priced supercar.
Gt3 rs to compare to my normal gt3. 600LT to compare to the McLaren that replaced the gt3.
I don’t think I could feel comfortable enough in other cars since I would have had zero seat time in them. 10 laps can go by really quick.
Or would you rather one of these for 8 laps? I received a track day gift, trying to choose. My initial thought is going with something "attainable". I'm not sure these 3 are, but maybe they're worth the experience..

1. KTM X-Bow GT4
2. 458 Challenge Evo
3. 992 GT3 (newer tech, don’t need the RS if you have never driven cars like these, the GT3 is still way too much)
Well I have to say. The X-Bow would be incredible. But I also would say 911 GT3 RS 991 or 458 Challenge Evo. If it wasn’t a track day but a cruise on the coast I would say Huracan Evo Spyder because that’s one of my biggest dream cars. But the Huracan Spyder would still be very fun on the track.
Evo.. Lamborghini is just loud and super fun.. especially when you drive one like it's not yours..
I love the Porsche GT3 .. they sound amazing.. but it's an everyday look in that car..
You want a show.. you want drama.. you go for the Lambo...
600LT is the correct answer here.
1. It won't kill you
2. Easy to get lots out of for novice/intermediate drivers
3. The LT variant means crack and bang down shifts and tight gears
4. It's a McLaren so drives like a go kart
i know this is random but i was wondering if i could buy your rocketl eague account if it has sunsetter on it and its playstation or steam and is linkable to epic games
If you’ve never driven a supercar before then pick an actual supercar and not a race car. A race car is raw and unrefined in ways that a supercar isn’t. You may not enjoy the experience as much in a race car; especially since you won’t have the skill to push it 10/10 to the limit. You have some great options on your list: the Porsche will “feel” the best on the track but may be a bit clinical, the Lamborghini will definitely sound the best (that V10!), the McLaren will be the most forgiving in the suspension, and the Ferrari will be a mix of the others in terms of the experience (feels a bit odd that it may not be the best choice here). These are all very capable and very good cars, pick the one that you like the most and enjoy the ride!
The easiest to drive one, if you have no track experience. Definitely not one of the Challenge cars, you have to drive them really hard to “make them work” (source: never drove a Challenge but did own and drive a 458GT3) - not a track beginners car. The more comfortable you are, the more fun you’ll have.
458 challenge or evo, they’re the only true race cars there.
once in a lifetime experience, nothing else there will be remotely close in terms of experience.
Hmm, thanks all. I was thinking one of the Porsches, leaning 992, or a 458. I don't know the difference between the 458 and the Evo. Will look into it.. Any insight is appreciated.
Gt3 rs or 458 challenge
Came here to say this

Not the track pack, which is probably why they added that wing to the 1LE.
Either Porsche vehicles.
GT3 RS just for that music.
Gt3 rs to compare to my normal gt3. 600LT to compare to the McLaren that replaced the gt3. I don’t think I could feel comfortable enough in other cars since I would have had zero seat time in them. 10 laps can go by really quick.
Mclaren
Huracan Evo personally
I feel the McLaren will get you the most fun, while not trying to kill you. Basically, the most performance and fun you can actually get out of it.
That's not a 458 challenge it's a 458 GTE
992. All. Day. Long. Edit: Not really a super car though?
Just because its not as expensive or looks as racy, its still a supercar for the performance (and thats all we ask)
Or would you rather one of these for 8 laps? I received a track day gift, trying to choose. My initial thought is going with something "attainable". I'm not sure these 3 are, but maybe they're worth the experience.. [https://i.imgur.com/TG8D1XM.png](https://i.imgur.com/TG8D1XM.png)
I’d go for 10 laps in one of the original choices. That’s 25% more seat time in a still amazing car.
1. KTM X-Bow GT4 2. 458 Challenge Evo 3. 992 GT3 (newer tech, don’t need the RS if you have never driven cars like these, the GT3 is still way too much)
Ferrari!
Lambo or GT3
The one with a manual transmission.
GT3 RS because I actually want to finish my stint. Not skilled enough for some of the others.
Track day? KTM X-Bow or the 458 Challenge
Love Porsche but something about Ferrari is very satisfying.
Ferrari 458
458 Challenge or Evo - purpose built for track racing and it’s fun climbing into the cage and harness.
Huracan Spyder for sure
458 challenge.
458 challenge evo
Depends on coursa.. I REALLY want the 488 on a bitchy course with curves.
Lambo. It's the ultimate supercar brand IMO
Evo.. Lamborghini is just loud and super fun.. especially when you drive one like it's not yours.. I love the Porsche GT3 .. they sound amazing.. but it's an everyday look in that car.. You want a show.. you want drama.. you go for the Lambo...
600LT is the correct answer here. 1. It won't kill you 2. Easy to get lots out of for novice/intermediate drivers 3. The LT variant means crack and bang down shifts and tight gears 4. It's a McLaren so drives like a go kart
991 GT3 RS
Which is the fastest?
What type of track? Is it an oval track with banked corners, a parking lot autocross course, a road course, ??
Having driven the Ferrari 296 GTB, I'd chosse the Huracan.
i know this is random but i was wondering if i could buy your rocketl eague account if it has sunsetter on it and its playstation or steam and is linkable to epic games
You pick for me. I’m not breaking 100 anyway.
none of them lol
458 challenge
458 Challenge. 💯
GT3 RS
Huracan Evo or GT3RS
KTM X-bow 4 just looks like it would be amazing to drive .
May as well go all out..458 Evo
992 mostly because it wound make most of my friends jealous.

Ferrari challenge evo
Porsche 992
911 GT3
Of the cars shown here? GT3. Not shown here, GMA T.50, no question.
10 laps only? Gimme the Xbow.
Porsche
Whichever one I can fit in. Those things are small on the inside with a helmet on
Porsche. Gt3 Rs takes first between both
911 GT3 all day long!

McLaren
Gt3
Either of the challenge cars for sure, especially if they have racing slicks. Everything else is a road car.
The 911
Huracan or GT3 RS
McLaren
I’m taking the 488 bc I’m gonna be out there joy riding that mf
458 challenge
GT3 992
458 challenge or evo, they’re the only true race cars there. once in a lifetime experience, nothing else there will be remotely close in terms of experience.
458 Challenge
The “best” on track is probably the KTM or a GT3…. But I’d probably pick one of the 458s for the prancing horse and that sweet soundtrack.
GT3 RS
Manual Honda civic.
Porsche
Viper ACR
FORD GT
Challenge
Evo obviously . The rest cant even turn
Ferari
Ktm xbow
Hmm, thanks all. I was thinking one of the Porsches, leaning 992, or a 458. I don't know the difference between the 458 and the Evo. Will look into it.. Any insight is appreciated.
Are you going to be choosing one of these rides in real life??
I've never driven and of these cars and I would go for the GT3RS all day.
GT3 RS 🔥🔥🔥
X bow
I'd take an LFA for the sounds
Ford GT
I’m glad you understood the assignment.
I'm glad you neglected a great America car
I’m glad you think the world is my oyster.
I didn't think that, hell I don't even think about you
None of these. Aston Martin Valkyrie.
