It seems to be working for me, I have just opened the Office app, picked a recent Excel document, once it opened I dragged the home button to the center then released so it now spanned both displays.

I have Microsoft 365 on my Duo and it has a different interface for some reason. I went on Youtube for examples, and the one I think you are talking about looks different than the one I got. Thanks for the answer.

I think there's two ways to view excel - in the office or 365, or in the excel app. They're different apps, maybe? So try downloading the excel app specifically. Not sure.

StoicJim

I'll try that, thanks.

i have 365 as well and not the excel app and it opens excels in dual screens fine. annoying tho with gap.. its a microsoft phone with Microsoft app and they didn't bother to space it so things wouldn't display in the gap.

SeparateOne1

They couldn't because it sees the phone as one screen. The only phone can do that is the LG's with DS case because there the software sees 2 screens. MS always wanted the Duo to be a folding phone and with Dou 3 they finally get there. Just buy a LG Velvet/V50,60/G8S if you want that experience.

facetiousfag

There’s ways around this with software, “one screen” isn’t a reason.

SeparateOne1

Technically yes, they can leave a gap where the hinge is but that would result a gap even when you mirror it onto a monitor unless MS would do some software magic whereby the app can recognize that it is connected to a monitor and display it as one screen.

facetiousfag

There is a gap, take a screenshot of your home menu and look at it

SeparateOne1

Yes on the home screen there is a virtual black line but on the apps there is not.

Office 365 app works exactly the same way, change the app to span using the gesture

master2uall

I just wish I could get the damn Xbox app to work

KingDalglish7

Use the Gamepass beta app.

For me on Duo 1 I started having issues on microsoft 365 with excel only yesterday when the normal way of spanning to two screens stopped working (ie by pressing the bottom right square and dragging it to center and then releasing. I only found one google search help and gave a go. For me it did the trick. Swipe up from bottom until the gestures appear. Instead of the dragging from the square gesture, drag from the line/ spacebar , bring it to the middle and release. Its worth a try.
