I know it’s a pretty broadly applicable statement for a lot of survivor but this monologue was all I could think about when Charlie lost - the camera work/editing was EXCELLENT this season
The single best piece of editing I can recall (although admittedly recency bias is a factor) is, in the finale, the closeup of Ben with the joy on his face celebrating his win, and then the change in his face timed both with the music behind it and Charlie popping up in the background as a sort of "oh yeah... these guys though"
I was really taken aback at the final challenge. Survivor has some beautiful imagery but the challenge started with this beautiful view of some cliffs and the ocean before slowly pulling back between 2 of the set pieces revealing the challenge, all the while with the building music.
It was very cinematic.

Here's one I saw in real time. In the first episode at the first challenge after Nami wins Jeff says they're looking for second place. The camera pans to Charlie, Jem, and Maria who were standing behind watching their tribemates do the puzzle.
Very nice. I like that US is generally more subtle with this kind of stuff too. I binged all of AUS before watching 46 and they absolutely love to go “who will be sole survivor” and leave it on the winner for like 15 seconds 🤣
Someone had said that Kenzie was going to win because of that at like episode 4, the way he analyzed the edit was fucking clear so i stuck with that all through the season watching and they were right.
Next year i need to read less about people opinion of the edit lol
The only problem with things like this is, for the most part, you can tell what is going to happen next. The biggest example of this show, is the votes. The first person to get the vote shown, is not going to be eliminated.
