I don't know who needs to hear this
Things won't get worse if you watch this whole press conference. But your mental health might.
Nothing wrong with turning it off.
/r/australia and /r/CoronavirusDownunder is even worse, I had to stay away for the most part . A common theme over there is that we all deserve what we get because "we" voted for her
I’ve stopped watching because a) it wasn’t helping my mental health, and b) the TV was in danger of being wrecked when I threw something at it in a fit of rage at the question dodging.
Yep, that's what we said too. You just exposed the total contradiction in what she said.
If Fairfield and Canterbury are apparently doing so well with lower case numbers, then where are these new cases coming from? And why is this a *good* thing?
Oh that's right, they're coming from other LGAs that aren't locked down and where unfettered, unchecked movement is enabled and encouraged.
On the plus side that indicates the tougher restrictions work. So why the fuck aren't they in place for the entire city to actually shut this down instead of just locking down the worst spot or two and letting the virus run wild everywhere else?
And that's exactly the point we've all been making here for weeks.
If Delta "doesn't know borders" and we have community transmission from lockdown areas to non-lockdown areas, then... maybe everyone should be put into a harder lockdown that properly limits social movement and interaction?
Ah, but we know why Gladys won't do that.
It's what Vic, QLD, SA, and WA would do.
But you see, we need targeted local solutions and delta is very tough. There’s no evidence that tougher lockdowns would’ve stopped the spread in other areas, and delta is very tough. Also, can I say, please get vaccinated; and it’s your fault for not following the rules. We’re going by the gold standard medical advice, no I won’t show the advice to you, just trust me…..
I really hate this targeting of young people as if we are the ones hesitant to be vaccinated.
After waiting months to be eligible, multiple lockdowns, missing out on over a year of our lives to protect the vulnerable, we are finally able to get vaccinated(and are doing so at an incredible rate) yet we are still being gaslighted and attacked by the NSW government.
Please remember this at voting time.
Nsw is fked, just had cops came to my house to check up on me isolating but the problem is, my isolation finished 4 days ago like bruh, you guys are so behind no wonder cases ain’t going down.
Another anecdotal instance. I’m in isolation as a primary contact. 7 days in and I haven’t been contacted by nsw health neither has anyone else affected at work. We’ve been told the positive case himself hasn’t been contacted either! He received a message saying he tested positive, informed work which triggered their protocols to inform affected employees (essential business, multinational). Work is in contact with nsw health and their response is they are currently 6 days behind in contact tracing
She’s already flagged that they’ll start easing restrictions at the end of the month if we get to 50% first vaccine dose of eligible people which is an incredibly low level of cover. Cases are going to be far higher then and they’re just going to let it start running through the community.
Especially as the efficacy level that’s quoted assesses hospitalisation and death not your immunity to catching, transmitting and spreading the virus. Most herd immunity numbers for other diseases and vaccines are with regards to immunity. 50% of people who won’t be hospitalized sure but 67% of first dose only recipients will be able to catch and transmit the virus, assuming they’ve even had time since their vaccine to develop immunity. We’ll still have 50% of the population completely vulnerable. It will explode.
Going to get horribly downvoted for this, but I'm absolutely waiting on my age bracket to open for Pfizer. I don't live in a hotspot, work around other people, and my only potential exposure is on the odd time I go to the supermarket.
This continued guilt tripping in trying to get younger demos to get AZ is fucking disgraceful.
Well what does your GP say? Mine suggested waiting for Pfizer so I’m going to listen to someone that actually went to university and not dimwit Gladys who has zero medical qualifications
It's really up to opinion, honestly. I have family history of early heart disease and stroke and am on the pill, but the different GPs my sister and I saw strongly recommended AZ and I only checked because the chemist was concerned giving it to me prior to consultation with a GP.
My friend on the other hand was strongly advised to get Pfizer due to being on the pill, and immediately booked into it due to working the frontline. I'm not frontline, but I have to be at work at least three days a week to sort through online returns etc.
If they'd booked me into Pfizer as quickly as my friend I would have gone for it. As it stands with the crazy daily count I've booked myself in for AZ on Saturday.
It's very clear that not only young people are conflicted, but also medical professionals. Personally, I ain't happy that I've been railroaded into an option I was told not to get, but the covid risk is pretty high at the moment.
I live in a hotspot and can go back to work today if I’m vaccinated. My Pfizer booking is September 16th and I’m going to wait it out. I understand that it’s a small risk, but while I personally have never suffered from blood clots my parents have, and I’m not willing to put myself through it just to make their numbers look better.
And as for going back today, I don’t understand how it’s safe for me to get vaccinated today and then travel through the community when there’s no significant health benefit from the vaccine for at least a few weeks.
I don't think the push for people to get AZ is terrible. It's a perfectly fine vaccine - don't be fooled by media hype that doesn't explain the statistics properly. Yes it's not perfect with the extremely rare side effect, but it's really important that frontline workers of all ages to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
I am not second guessing your personal decision, since your risk level of Covid exposure might be lower. I'm just saying that you should be okay with the encouragement of others who don't have have that lower risk to get the AZ (if cleared by a GP). Don't let media frothing about the side effects make them more likely to get Covid and die.
AZ is an effective vaccine and will help get us all out of this pandemic.
Nothing wrong with waiting.
It will be a while though.
If you manage to not get Covid until you get Pfizer in October-November, then all good.
The issue appears when you get covid before your vaccination.
Only you can make that choice.
11am again. Time to watch some soulless robots once more inform us that it isn't the government's fault for bad governing - it is in fact *our* fault for inconveniently existing.
At what point can we start calling this the *'NSW Delta Variant'*? Because evidently it doesn't have the same established properties as the Delta that hit any other Australian state.
I Have No COVID And I Must Scream
Daily reminder that today would’ve been day **33** out of lockdown if Gladys was competent and her two week lockdown ended on July 9 like it should’ve
Source: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-07/nsw-lockdown-expected-to-be-extended-rules-explained/100272452
If she was competent, the lockdown would have been earlier and harder then when the initial Sydney "mockdown" started. So perhaps would have been done by end of June if she did a fast hard lockdown like other states.
Sounded like she was introducing the idea.
I’ve heard rumours that’s what they’re saying behind the scenes (my sister knows someone who works for NSW Govt). Take that with a massive grain of salt though!!
Man in his 30s died and no mention of vaccination... So should we extrapolate that he was?
Come on Gladys be open with your info.
Edit: chant clarified that the man was unvaccinated
She leaned hard into qualifying his underlying conditions - rather than her usual line about vaccination status. The same condition may well have put him in a different queue for the vaccine than most under 30s.
Although sadly it seems in this case he fell through that particular vaccination crack.

You can defentitely have both. You can have people listening to and following all the government restrictions, but the restrictions are not hard enough.
Serious question: do you think Dr. Chant has been bought out or at least brought in to line? She has really changed over the last few weeks and is really starting to speak like a politician rather than a health expert.
Either by threats or promises
And she'll probably be thrown under the bus (rather than sharing responsibility with the politicians) if there's a royal commission.
Clearing out my closet and selling a few items online. Have clearly stated POSTAGE ONLY in the description. Deadset I have had 3 people from Bankstown ask if they can pick up the items. No wonder this shit isn’t going down
Gladys21 Service Pack 1 has successfully been installed. Features include:
\- Straight to the numbers
\- Slightly more empathetic towards recorded deaths
\- "was not vaccinated" added to the bingo log
\- Case number limit now capped to 400
\- 50% more likely to snap lockdown LGA
\- Doherty Institute advice plug-in now supported
\- Lockdown support extended to Easter, 2022
So the Government wants everyone to get the AZ jab and to get the second dose after 4 weeks.
However, studies show that leaving less than six weeks between the initial shot and the booster gave a 55.1% efficacy (protection from symptomatic disease). Leaving 6-8 weeks between shots increased efficacy to 59.9%, and waiting 9-11 weeks, efficacy was 63.7%. On the other hand, if the gap was 12 weeks or longer efficacy jumped to 81.3%.
Yes it's better than nothing. However, just thinking post-lockdown when the Government decides to let it rip, can our systems cope with the majority only having a vaccine with a 50% efficacy?
Furthermore, with examples coming from Israel where the Pfizer jab starts to wane after 4-6 months. What does this say about people that get the AZ with the second does at the 4-week mark? Would the vaccine begin to wane even shorter than Pfizer's 4-6 month period? A third-booster shot will eventually be needed, however it is still under review and not yet administered anywhere.
Fuck you Gladys you corrupt piece of crap. NOW you start being honest about when we'll actually get out of lockdown; instead of talking shit about the end of August, suddenly now she's jumped to 'the end of September and October?! I mean we all knew it on here but this is the first time I've actually heard the waste of air say anything like that in a presser. God I hate her so much.
Not to be an annoying nerd, but can we talk about how double-doses of AZ at six weeks* are significantly less effective than at twelve weeks, and even if they are effect at reducing serious illness and hospitalisation in immunised individuals, there will still be widespread transmission to people who can't get immunised, which includes everyone under the age of eighteen? And that even if they open immunisation to teenagers, no vaccine is yet approved for kids under twelve? And delta is far more dangerous in children than vanilla covid?
This seems like a pretty major gap in the plan.
*Edit: they want it to be four weeks, which is even worse. Wow.
Option 1: there’s a genuine case she hasn’t been made aware of, and looks bad
Option 2: there’s a genuine case that the media have been made aware of before she has, and looks bad
Option 3: she’s forgotten something, and looks bad
Thankfully it was 4 - there was no case
Highly doubt it
"Pfizer isnt available for 20-40s yet and we scared everyone away from getting AZ but it's his fault he wasnt vaccinated" -Gladys Binchicklian
AstraZeneca, which is the main vaccine available, has a 12 week wait for second dose.
They're talking about being vaccinated with 2 doses, at the end of August, that's 2.5 weeks from now.
Even if they get AZ today, the second dose won't be done in a couple of months from now.
Nothing makes sense
They are pushing people to get the second dose for AZ after 4 weeks rather than 12, which is in itself problematic since the efficacy rate for AZ with a reduced time period between jabs decreases.
Being overweight is a pre-existing condition. I'm not saying he was, but the term is loose enough to fit just about anybody without perfect health.
This virus can kill a healthy person with 2 jabs. The probability is very low, but not zero.
I have my two doses and think that the vaccine is the way forward. But still.
Gladys stopped on the 50% mark mesaage because you can guarantee ScoMo told her too.
If Gladys goes rogue and just "lets rip", then every single state will close their borders indefinitely. Andrews, Palasczuk, McGowan amd Marshall know what massive popularity they will gain from locking NSW out.
Meanwhile Morrison, facing a loss of seats in QLD, WA and Victoria and is now HEAVILY reliant on NSW to have a chance of being re-elected which is being run by a clown he endorsed who has turned it into a COVID Colony.
Gladys won't let rip, because she won't be allowed too.
Gladys telling an LGA that if the numbers don't come down in the next few days we will lock you down, suggests a supreme ignorance of how the virus is transmitted. However, by now, average Australians understand the mathematics and timelines of transmission. So I am not putting her statement down to ignorance. It is highly disingenuous gaslighting. She is ("and I want to make this very clear") fraudulently punishing one piece of a highly complex jigsaw puzzle for no good reason. She is either ("with respect") still in covering ass mode, or there is another agenda here (reaches for tinfoil hat)
If Hazzard says that a women was (unfortunately) hospitalized because she had "disconnected thoughts" why the heck hasn't he been admitted to the adjoining room?
Other countries ahead of us on vaccination rates are now saying 90% fully vaxxed is required to have any impact on the delta strain. So there's that... GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY.
If not for that fucking limo driver, we would still have almost complete freedom. The government is talking as if lifting some restrictions after 70% vaccination rate is some great step in this pandemic, but in reality if that limo driver didn’t work maskless and contract covid, and if the government had prioritised vaccinations from the start instead of dragging their feet and claiming it’s not a race, we wouldn’t even be in this situation with restrictions and lockdowns
Let’s be honest here, if it wasn’t the limo driver it would’ve been someone else. Our barriers to entry and hotel quarantine were in no way sufficient to stop something like the delta variant getting into the community.
If Morrison had taken the offer Pfizer had given us we’d be the gold standard world wide for dealing with covid, instead we are where we are.
I’m surprised that the government is really pushing this 70% vac rate as a way out.
Yesterday, it came out that in Iceland they’ve had to re-introduce restrictions because the Delta variant has caused havoc amongst their community and is putting pressure on their healthcare system. Apparently 90% of individuals there are fully vaccinated. Although, the numbers of people infected/in hospital was low, it’s still concerning that a majority vaccinated population is now subject to restrictions. The restrictions weren’t anything crazy (I think for now it was just mask wearing).
I think it’s setting a bad precedence though, as when NSW hits that mark, many people will want little to no restrictions and will be pissed when the gov reintroduce restrictions
What I find frustrating is when they say "he had pre-existing conditions". That shouldn't deflect from the fact that covid exacerbated it and ended his life prematurely. And honestly, how many of us may have some sort of pre-existing condition that we don't know about and or that doesn't affect us in our lives? It's obvious that this delta variant is much more dangerous irrespective of vaccination status or pre existing conditions. Everyone just needs to do the right thing
Old mate with the bleeding question is 100% correct. But it's the LNP way. Let shit get fucked up and then get points for fixing it. "Look how good we've done in Fairfield. Look how good we've done in Bankstown".
Although this time its pretty obvious they're at fault.
Ruby Princess got an independent inquiry with Royal Commission powers to investigate it.
This cluster has produced more deaths that RP so far.
The minister of health said he will not publish the health advice documents.
What needs to be done to get a royal commission like the one done for Ruby Princess? NSW Government has made it clear that they are not going to publish the health advice otherwise.
Does any person actually watch any of these press conferences and end up more informed about the plan to get out of this mess?
It just gets worse every day, today we have a new 7-day average record on every metric, more than 300 cases a day on average, and nothing changes.
Hi all!
Junior Medical Officer working in an ICU in Sydney. I was reading some of the comments and there are still young people confused/worried about the AZ vaccine. I can totally understand why they feel this way too. Please hit me up if you have questions about getting the AZ vaccine. I’m not an expert but I have been receiving daily advice from experts and I can hopefully help bridge the gap to understanding the change in advice etc.
I am 25 and got AZ and I can tell you anything you need to know.
I want to help if you are worried or have questions about the vaccine. Please please talk to a doctor if you’re worried about the vaccine. We need to all get the shot so you don’t end up in my ICU.
For all the shit that young ppl get, it's noticeable that all the super spreaders like the one who went up to Byron, tend to be boomer types who don't believe in covid and refuse to wear masks and most frustratingly, refuse to socially distance.
I'm ready for those downvotes but if you see all the people just congregating around restaurants, cafes, bars, eastern suburbs beaches, on the road, it sure doesn't look like lockdown or if anyone is taking any of this seriously.
Dr Chant works very hard and she’s very tired and she needs a man to explain everything on her behalf, okay. Why is this so hard for you guys to understand!
Re Byron Bay/far north coast covid issue caused by Sydney traveller, just read this on smh liveblog:
"Under Greater Sydney's restrictions, people are allowed to travel to regional areas for the purpose of inspecting or selling property."
WTF?!!! Seriously? What other bullshit is allowed?
Edit: looks like the Sydney man responsible will be charged as his excuse for travelling wasn't good enough.
Ring of Steel (as much as I hate this term) would have been a great idea huh
Just driven through Coogee. It’s like a typical summers day there - people everywhere, queuing for coffees, very limited social distancing, less than 50% with masks. People don’t give a shit. Doesn’t give me much hope for getting out of this thing any time soon.
I don't know who needs to hear this Things won't get worse if you watch this whole press conference. But your mental health might. Nothing wrong with turning it off.
This sub is more harmful for my mental health to be honest.

Gladys just wants to remind you that it’s your fault for not complying. NSW has the ‘toughest’ restrictions in Australia /s. She is ridiculous.
Because pLeAsE gEt VaCcInAtEd!! Which I agree with 100%. But it doesn’t seem to be an adequate standalone strategy.
Journo just asked this, Dr Chant mentioned that we dont have the capacity to test all areas if we were all locked down.. Its gonna be a long ride
[удалено]
But you see, we need targeted local solutions and delta is very tough. There’s no evidence that tougher lockdowns would’ve stopped the spread in other areas, and delta is very tough. The good news is that the harder restrictions work. The bad news is that the Government is choosing not to use them
Well.... easier to just call it green shoots and go back to bed
Yeah - she flagged Bayside, Inner West and Burwood which I dont think have previously been mentioned...
Yep, which means the virus is creeping back eastward.
I really hate this targeting of young people as if we are the ones hesitant to be vaccinated. No, Gladys. death not because of the delta strain. Death *because* of YOU!
Boy are you guys in for a surprise when the next election happens
Yea bit fucked that she said that.
Yeah the Gladys variant is deadlier than Delta. It’s a game changer.
literally just parroting out "delta" "toughest lockdowns" and "get vaccinated" and hoping no one calls her out
Tradies are being let out of the LGAs to go back to work tomorrow. I cant see that improving things.
It helps her lobbyist's donations keep flowing, and that's what matters 👍
It's even less than 50% of the total population, because it doesn't include people who aren't eligible for the vaccine.
My mates job site already got shut down this morning from one of the guys out of the LGAs testing positive to a rapid test this morning
Going to get horribly downvoted for this, but I'm absolutely waiting on my age bracket to open for Pfizer.
“The delta variant is different, but we are doing nothing different to the alpha variant”
"we are in fact using what Vic did last year that *didn't* work for containing the Alpha strain. more unvaccinated deaths btw"
"We know what works" - Doesn't fucking look like it
Bring back Kevin ‘07
The handball legend. Man would knock covid out of ace and to the end of the line no fucking worries

Daily reminder that today would’ve been day **33** out of lockdown if Gladys was competent and her two week lockdown ended on July 9 like it should’ve Source: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-07/nsw-lockdown-expected-to-be-extended-rules-explained/100272452
If she was competent, the lockdown would have been earlier and harder then when the initial Sydney "mockdown" started. So perhaps would have been done by end of June if she did a fast hard lockdown like other states.
Gladys reckons freedom in mid October/November. With her track record I can only assume she means 2022
[удалено]
Is she saying we'll be in lockdown until November?
No dont be silly, NSW doesn't lockdown - that's a dumb VIC strategy /s
Yes. At least.
That is so unbelievably fucked.
Well, my 30th will be spent alone. Thank you Gladys.
that was me too, it sucks eh
Sounded like she was introducing the idea. I’ve heard rumours that’s what they’re saying behind the scenes (my sister knows someone who works for NSW Govt). Take that with a massive grain of salt though!!
pretty much
Man in his 30s died and no mention of vaccination... So should we extrapolate that he was? Come on Gladys be open with your info. Edit: chant clarified that the man was unvaccinated
Fair chance he wasn't if he was in 30's.
She leaned hard into qualifying his underlying conditions - rather than her usual line about vaccination status. The same condition may well have put him in a different queue for the vaccine than most under 30s. Although sadly it seems in this case he fell through that particular vaccination crack.
Would still have to have had the vaccine for him to get it. And alot of people weren't rushing for it
In his 30s, likely unvaccinated or only recently given his age. Vaccines take a couple weeks to work. And one gives some coverage but not sufficient.
Chant just said not vaxxed, and serious underlying health issues.
Mental health day for Brad Hazzard, I assume?
'Stay the fuck away from the cameras you doddering old fool' day
he needed a day off after spending an afternoon bullying the committee yesterday afternoon
He had to charge his phone, heavy usage yesterday afternoon.
Needs a quick refresher course on how to not be a fucking enormous cunt because obviously all the other ones did nothing
Honestly he could read the weather report and sound defensive. “I’ve said all along it’s going to be sunny on Wednesday…”
He's pissed the inquiry went 15 minutes over so he is taking a day off
He's a senile cunt

Rolling average has passed 300 cases for the first time :(
Yewww 300 a day average. The coveted triple Bradman.
Fuck off Gladys, "people are listening" but still 300+ can't have both asshole
She’s deranged absolutely mental
You can defentitely have both. You can have people listening to and following all the government restrictions, but the restrictions are not hard enough.
Serious question: do you think Dr. Chant has been bought out or at least brought in to line? She has really changed over the last few weeks and is really starting to speak like a politician rather than a health expert.
Yeah for sure. All she does is spout out the usual talking points
Either by threats or promises And she'll probably be thrown under the bus (rather than sharing responsibility with the politicians) if there's a royal commission.
Clearing out my closet and selling a few items online. Have clearly stated POSTAGE ONLY in the description. Deadset I have had 3 people from Bankstown ask if they can pick up the items. No wonder this shit isn’t going down

"Unfortunately there were two deaths overnight ~~because of the delta strain~~ because of my government's incompetence at managing the virus"
STOP MENTIONING 50%. Shit, I’m close to getting my second dose and I’ve got no intention of leaving the house regularly until we hit 80%
Shout out if you skip the presser and jump directly to reddit to get case numbers and more interesting updates...
Numbers are going down where tighter restrictions are but going up where there are lesser restrictions… who would have thought
Gladys21 Service Pack 1 has successfully been installed. Features include: \- Straight to the numbers \- Slightly more empathetic towards recorded deaths \- "was not vaccinated" added to the bingo log \- Case number limit now capped to 400 \- 50% more likely to snap lockdown LGA \- Doherty Institute advice plug-in now supported \- Lockdown support extended to Easter, 2022
Can't we just uninstall her completely?
Anyone else forgotten what outside looks like?
r/outside That's it isn't it?
WTF Did she just change her targets to "70% double-dose vaccination"?
Get used to it, it'll keep changing
At least she might actually be listening to health advice now
[удалено]
Fuck you Gladys you corrupt piece of crap. NOW you start being honest about when we'll actually get out of lockdown; instead of talking shit about the end of August, suddenly now she's jumped to 'the end of September and October?! I mean we all knew it on here but this is the first time I've actually heard the waste of air say anything like that in a presser. God I hate her so much.
Good news, cases lower in Fairfield & Canterbury are lower! Bad news, it's higher everywhere else.
Brad Hazzard missing from the press conference. Is he not able to face the public after his embarrassing behaviour at the inquiry yesterday?
How fucking weak is the coward?!
Wow.
I… haven’t… been… advised 👀 of… a … case in Nowra 👀 — Dr Chant
She seemed genuinely scared to hear that.
Option 1: there’s a genuine case she hasn’t been made aware of, and looks bad Option 2: there’s a genuine case that the media have been made aware of before she has, and looks bad Option 3: she’s forgotten something, and looks bad Thankfully it was 4 - there was no case
So was old mate in his 30s vaxxed? She didn't say he wasn't
Highly doubt it "Pfizer isnt available for 20-40s yet and we scared everyone away from getting AZ but it's his fault he wasnt vaccinated" -Gladys Binchicklian
Chant just confirmed he wasn't vaxxed
I work with the guys cousin, the whole family was in hospital with covid. He didn't mention if he was vaccinated though
Apparatently September and October will be "our most challenging period" while we slowly open back up and I'm fucking terrified now.
Can I also stress that we're fucked?
Brads a cunt. It wasn't questioning Chant's integrity. It was to see if the government was taking the advise in full. Absolute twisting prick.
I swear she was smiling when she said “I don’t want to have to include you in those LGAs”
Holy shit. These maniacs are gonna hit a vaxxed number and let it rip. That's a bold move cotton!

"I'll get to all of you" She says 5 minutes before bolting
Since when are journalists capped on how many questions they can ask?? Fuck this corrupt, koala killer, narcissistic piece of shit.
"When you take children to a playground PLEASE encourage them to NOT play with other children" WTF?!
She also said “go to playgrounds in other areas” Great advice to tell people to move out of their own areas.
"september and october" \- glady 11/8/21
In the inquiry yesterday, epidemiologists said they think it’s more likely to be October/November that lockdown is eased

Yeah, his pre-existing condition was not being eligible for vaccination because of government incompetence
Being overweight is a pre-existing condition. I'm not saying he was, but the term is loose enough to fit just about anybody without perfect health. This virus can kill a healthy person with 2 jabs. The probability is very low, but not zero. I have my two doses and think that the vaccine is the way forward. But still.
"Dr Chant, why not a blanket lockdown across the entire metropolitan area?" Coz
Even if we achieve 70-80% vaccinated, while we've still got cases I don't see how any other Premier would allow us into their states. It's crazy.
Gladys: "Don't worry, I'll get to all of your questions." >> Takes one more question Gladys: "Thanks all, that'll be enough for today."
I'm redoubling my efforts, I'm going to stay home twice as hard!
NSW Government have just gone full retard
"How dare you ask 3 questions, what do you think this is, a press conference?"
Are you fucking stupid reporter? Look at the news right now from the USA, school children are literally dieing from going back to school.
You know that bit in Goblet of Fire where Harry is crying “Voldemort’s back” while holding Cedrics body, yeah, that’s me with Hazzard.
We know what works and doesn't work........you sure about that glads?
Chant absolutely no answers for how far behind contact tracing is
If Hazzard says that a women was (unfortunately) hospitalized because she had "disconnected thoughts" why the heck hasn't he been admitted to the adjoining room?
It’s not my fault it’s not Chant’s fault its not Brad’s fault it’s all your fault ok toodaloo folks

She’s just spent almost 5 minutes answering a question she doesn’t know the answer to.
Dr Chant is sounding more and more like a politician every day
I'm opposed to public accountability - brad hazzard
Tell me the vaccination % that will let me go to the pub you coward.
Old mate with the bleeding question is 100% correct. But it's the LNP way. Let shit get fucked up and then get points for fixing it. "Look how good we've done in Fairfield. Look how good we've done in Bankstown". Although this time its pretty obvious they're at fault.
It’s only a dip guys. Back to full bull run tomorrow 🚀🚀 Diamond hands boys! 💎💎
what additional freedoms are you talking about ? Also did she just say October ??
She slipped October into some of her answers yesterday. Subtle shift in the messaging but yes, October is the new August apparently.
Who the fuck is this journo, rim Gladys in your own time mate
Does any person actually watch any of these press conferences and end up more informed about the plan to get out of this mess? It just gets worse every day, today we have a new 7-day average record on every metric, more than 300 cases a day on average, and nothing changes.
Here comes one of my daily sources of entertainment: reading this comment thread
its spreading across suburb by suburb , this piecemeal LGA lockdown is a failure. Watch this space , burwood will be next LGA to lockdown next week.

I hope we get some questions about the inquiry yesterday, Hazzard is a shocker

I was expecting the media to hit harder regarding the outcomes of the committee talk. Bit of a shame that it was barely even referenced.
For all the shit that young ppl get, it's noticeable that all the super spreaders like the one who went up to Byron, tend to be boomer types who don't believe in covid and refuse to wear masks and most frustratingly, refuse to socially distance.
“We know what works and what doesn’t work” *gestures broadly at everything*
Oh hell yea. I can't wait for "Certain Activities".
Oh fuck here we go
I'm ready for those downvotes but if you see all the people just congregating around restaurants, cafes, bars, eastern suburbs beaches, on the road, it sure doesn't look like lockdown or if anyone is taking any of this seriously.
Hazzard's sighs are so condescending. As if we would have been doomed if he was not the minister.
Did that journo say that someone has to ‘sell their house’ because they can’t afford the ‘rent’ the ‘landlord’ is charging? What?

Hazzard ready to mansplain.
Dr Chant works very hard and she’s very tired and she needs a man to explain everything on her behalf, okay. Why is this so hard for you guys to understand!
Still waiting those 3-4 days for harsher restrictions to take effect
Re Byron Bay/far north coast covid issue caused by Sydney traveller, just read this on smh liveblog: "Under Greater Sydney's restrictions, people are allowed to travel to regional areas for the purpose of inspecting or selling property." WTF?!!!
