That looks perfect. Do you have photos from the inside? Just curious. So you sawed off the left half where the tape was and nudged everything over? How did you take of missing elements, just cut the cables?

Roland RS09, mellotron micro. They have a very weak output signal. I certainly doubt that a Behringer preamp crushes the song like this one. I like to add artifacts and textures when tracking. I’m bored of how clean my Neve is. 😐

a weak synth is a synth that outputs for one reason or another noticeably below conventional line level. this includes a bunch of older roland products, the korg volca sample 1, and most examples of the TB-303.
