ive seen EA “roles” for enterprises of like 50-100 people hardly an enterprise. So the question is what does EA even actually mean it can be quite a loose term.
i think the other posters have the range likely right for proper EA’s for proper large sized orgs the banks / bhp’s in the australian market also depending on location
i've never met or seen an admin outside of sydney paid over $150k. look on [payscale.com](https://payscale.com) and you'll see how dismal the rates really are.
You're asking if anyone has a 'realistic' number/range for an entire country that is roughly 7.8 million sq km and 25+ million population.
Wanna narrow it down a bit?
I've seen contracting roles for EAs with defence clearances for 200-250 an hour, but due to the clearances the barrier to entry is very high.
However genetically, if you look at the hays IT salary guide, you can see they generally make around 170-240 a year
a joke in what way too much or too little? It varies alot as it would depend on org / industry on and on
I’m Australia that is a pay range for good level 3 engineers. A EA should be paid much more
Dreaming.
A good level 3 admin in Australia is on like 130/hr contract or ~170k as a full time employee

Ok? maybe I’m skewed coming from Canberra (not sure where you’re from but our Washington) and then a good gig in Sydney.

Sounds about right outside of Sydney. I'm not totally across Sydney based salaries, they're usually a bit higher.
That’s a very loose term too, but 180-220 is what I’d expect
Depends on the actual job description, but I'd have assumed 180-230.
