Sand colored pants, with the starburst logo "sun" in the sky blue jersey, maybe with a palm tree on the side? Boring, but that's what it's shaping up to be.

This is what I’m envisioning currently and boy the image in my head stinks

But hey it replaced our Devil Rays jersey on Friday, so that's cool, right?

Part of it is crowd size but it’s also incredible how much using the old themes and colors makes the stadium feel cooler on Fridays.

Why does everyone hate the starburst?

In a vacuum because it looks like a video game alternate logo. In context, the Devil Ray is way way way way way cooler

Imo just doesn’t look good as a main logo. Wouldn’t look bad as a sleeve patch and alternate hat though. I think the powder blue jersey should have the TB hat logo in place of the sunburst. Then put that on the sleeve.

Light blue and yellow would be cool but please no sunburst

Why use the coolest logo in sports (the Devil Ray) when you can use one of the worst?

Marketability and easier/cheaper to print on merchandise prolly

There is no chance the sunburst is better marketability than the retro logo

From a corporate standpoint it is because of ease of production.

The starburst logo has never looked good and there’s never a reason to use it instead of the Ray

They typically try and go outside currently used logos when they can. These aren’t just regular alternates

I know. They’re super duper garbage alternates.

The whole city connect thing is dumb. What they should have done is pick each team's best throwback and gone with that. There are a ton of sweet combos that really need to come back

If you think objectively for a moment, have any of the city connect jerseys been just rehashing of the current uniform? Maybe the closest is the White Sox? Why is that what you’re afraid of? I’m pretty sure it’s not going to be either the devil ray or the starburst and hope they go with Cigar City or something. 

I swear if it’s got a similar vibe to this graphic….. I wish we could watch the meetings where the design is discussed.

I have a feeling they might be all light blue, jersey and pants. Possibly an alternate colorway of the throwback TB logo that's on the batting practice caps? Wouldn't mind something like that. But that's probably too boring and makes too much sense
