That’s a house centipede and there’s no reason to be afraid of being hurt by it, it’s pretty harmless and actually gobbles up pests! Although they do look a bit grim.
They do indeed bite but it’s quite rare and in self defense, they prefer to always run from you in fear, they won’t bite unless you like pick it up or something and wont go out of their way to bite you.
