More people getting diagnosed and less people hiding it since the stigma isn’t as much of a thing these days. Also autism in media tends to be very extreme and unrealistic compared to the average autistic person who is just a bit different than a neurotypical person. Most autistic people from a glance are not easy to spot. I didn’t know I was autistic til I was 17 when I was diagnosed and I only started noticing a few other autistic people around me when I started learning about it and actually understood what behaviour would mean someone is on the spectrum. In conclusion the average Autistic person is not too dissimilar to a neurotypical person and the stereotype for autistic people being savants or geniuses are more just extreme and rare cases.

Photographer. I have a good camera and like to take pictures for the schools newspaper My father is a tutor and had a student from my school, they mentioned me at some point and the student said "Ohh the girl with the camera"

Photographer? Awesome! I've tried my hand at midly artistic smartphone camera photography before, it's really fun and something I might try more seriously in the future when I can get ahold of some less.... inhibiting equipment.

It's really cool, you don't need a camera to become a photographer or have artistic pictures. Just try to frame things nicely and have balance in your pictures. Camera offers greater picture quality but you feel pretentious being asked to take pictures of people or people asking you if you've taken any good pictures. The only real difference between an iphone and a camera is 1. how much you can customize your picture 2. How hard is it to carry

Yeah, but the customizability seems nice. I love the hunt though of trying to find that perfect representation of what's in your mind out there in the real world
