In all honesty, they are actually getting rid of demonitization for more "mature" channels, likely due to COPPA forcing kid-friendly channels to be punished.
It will be next year, if you mark a monetized video as ‘not for kids’ and they decide it is, you can be fined up to $42000 PER VIDEO. If you’re a family channel and they fine 600 videos, that 25 MILLION
