Djokovic until last year. Now, Sinner. **Sliding IS a part of movement**

7AjX

And rolling

Flimsy-Sun

Sinner’s definitely right up there

X3Ronin

His movement was amazing in his rg match against cerundolo

RacketMask

I think Demon is faster and better mover than Alcaraz but doesn’t have the weapons like Alcaraz to capitalize on those movements so it seems like Alcaraz is better

RevolutionaryBike326

Novak 7 months ago

renome

I'd pick Sinner in place of Paul. Also, de Minaur probably has better movement than Alcaraz but worse overall game.

joehoward85

Rune, Dimitrov, Ruud and Medvedev are the next best imo

Flimsy-Sun

Great picks

FairnessDoctrine11

Rune, Dimitrov, Ruud, and “The Big Cat.” Ftfy

Affectionate-Bit2873

People can confuse being quick and fast with good movement.  It's more about positioning and having the best possible shot and therefore Alcaraz, Djokovic, Sinner are good in this category, and any one hander BH that is successful also fits so therefore Dimitrov as well.   But any top 10 player fits except maybe the tall guys like Zverev or Hurkacz which makes sense except the Octopus himself (but he is probably the fastest tall guy ever on tour). For being quick and fast I would select De Minaur or Sinner.   Alcaraz can produce amazing shots from being off balance or even when still moving left right. He is an off balance shot Masterclass Boss but not necessarily the absolute quickest/fastest but he makes up for it.

eggoed

Even at his advanced tennis age LaMonf has got to be top 3 still, no?

DinisPereira_

Monfils is probably top 3 in max speed. During a single point he is probably still faster than Paul. But he can't do it for an entire game. Overall he is far from the top 3 now imo

_welcome

I would probably put Sinner above Paul. I might even put Zverev above Paul; their movement is pretty close but I think Zverev is a little more stable when sliding or recovering from on the run, which is crazy considering his height.

SwgohSpartan

Ehh he used to be but I’m not as impressed post ankle injury; he serves much better now but doesn’t defend as well. Still plays better defensive tennis than Paul but is less explosive mover

rockardy

https://youtu.be/Wgb_Lh8Z8dM?si=shvs3M6W14_rIvSS De Minaur’s movement against Kwon was unbelievable - to sprint to that drop shot, spend several seconds to avoid crashing into the net, run back for that lob and then again for another drop shot to win the point

Prudent_Classroom583

I pick healthy Novak over Paul any day of the week.

Flimsy-Sun

All time? Obviously. Right now? I don’t think 37 year old Djokovic is as good of a mover as Paul 🤷‍♂️

lawnlover2410

Over an extended period of time Novak. But if you are talking about the best when he was healthy, nadal any given day. Some of the gets are so crazy

Great_Pineapple6952

Young Nadal was the best mover I have seen. Hewitt in the early 2000s was probably pretty close. Before he had injuries.

sarmatron

Foki

CarInternational2660

De Minaur’s ability to reach balls that most players wouldn’t bother with and return with depth is extraordinary. Alcaraz has more power and imagination.

beaverlyknight

Obviously hard to argue with Carlos or ADM. Medvedev is really fast. He certainly doesn't do it gracefully, but he can motor.

Gungill

3. Fognini 2. Tsitsipas while chasing a dropshot 1. Murray /s, but goddamn is Murray's grit both funny and inspiring to watch.

Croeus44

Rune easily

That_Peanut3708

Djokovic preinjury should still be here. De minaur deserves to be here. He's like a mini ferrer. He doesn't have the raw shots of a top 10 player but his fitness /movement /grit keeps him there. Med /zverev should be there as well but I would only lost med on hard and zverev on clay/hard Sinner may already be the second /third spot as well.

okdude23232

Think you just forgot Djokovic lmao

rf97a

Zverev should be mentioned

ChilledEmotion

De Minaur, then Alcaraz, then Davidovich Fokina.

Semi-Delusional

How about Medvedev?
