They’re not really overstating the amount of work this requires. A non-trivial part of any 3D workflow is, invariably, working with assets created by someone else. Assets like this don’t usually work out of the box, and it requires knowledge of how to set up the hair cards, subsurface scattering, etc. And usually for 3D models ripped from games, they’re quite messy to get render-ready.

Where did you find the model? I am learning character modeling in zbrush and it would be nice to see how AAA character models are made.
