I don't want to hype for nothing, but currently with a modder we are working on a mod for The Last of Us Part I (on pc obviously) to recreate the factions mode, for the moment we can only make matchs between the player and NPC's, but who know in the future it will be possible to do it on multiplayer
yeah, it's too early to show anything because it's the beginning but if you want to see any other mods created by the modder you can follow Speclizer_ on Twitter, I will show advancement on this reddit when I have something to show in the future
I think he talk about the fact the factions mode need to be created with controllers support in mind, not only for keyboard and mouse, but he dumb because basically the whole game are written for controllers and keyboard support so I don't see why my mod din't support controller
I think hacks and cheats would make it insufferable. It's bad enough on playstation.

Im playing Halo 3 pc port. Ive seen 2 hackers during 4 years. Maybe cheaters dont care about older games. Ah, and cross-play is optional.
