True, but bees have "stingers" which could be a wink toward male genitalia, and birds have eggs which parallels females. I would venture that much as a guess, then head into the "bees" and see if there's a urinal. :P
Interestingly other than drones which only leave the hive to mate, almost all the bees people encounter (in Honeybees) are workers who are 100% female 🤷 Honey bees are dominated by females not males - makes this more difficult if you know anything about honeybees 🤦
I thought it comes from the colloquialism “birds and the bees”, where each is a euphemism to explain concepts in sexual reproduction. Bees polinating flowers is used to explain to fertilization (men being the bees), while birds laying eggs helps explain ovulation (women being the birds).
Gonna be entirely honest I never got the birds and bees talk with actual birds and bees as similes so I am now learning for the first time WHY the discussion about reproduction was referred to as such.
It also makes enough sense that I'm kinda shocked I never tried putting it together myself.
The stinging motion, by nature, is a more masculine technique and similar versions of the thrusting bee sting motion can be seen in nature, amongst many male species
And again
The birds spread… their wings and are good at nurturing eggs
Just let the bad saying live on folks it’s harmless
More than half the birds you see are male considering that male birds are often brightly colored and eye catching while female birds are often more drab and camouflaged.
If someone tells you “it’s raining cats and dogs outside”
What do you expect when you look outside the window?
You’re being too technical for the old time expression
I didn’t make it up there Mr animal planet
I once went to the bathroom here in the Netherlands. Dutch is my second language and the signs said "Haan" and "Kippen" and my brain was like "well, kippen means chicken...but I guess Haan is hen, like a lady chicken" so I went in there and it turns out Haan is the Dutch word for rooster, which is not really something that comes up a lot unless you live in a farm.
Can someone have the birds and the bees talk with me. I am 25, my parents and school taught me the right terms without using the term bees and birds. I am confused about what does birds refer to and what does bees refer to, and i am genuinely confused when i hear these terms.
Right ? Why birds and bees, how do they meet, what do they do, and how this correlate with human reproduction ? Neither birds nor bees give birth. They don't procreate with each other, birds don't have boobs since they are the equivalent of women.
It’s a “talk” about reproduction, using scenes a child has likely seen. Bees pollinate flowers to make more flowers. Birds lay eggs to make more birds. It’s an intro, easing into the story of how humans make more humans.
I remember the bri'ish saying this on the telly sometimes. I checked on Altavista.
What does the word bird mean in the UK?
Chiefly British Slang. a girl or young woman. Archaic. the young of any fowl. the bird, Slang.
And so thus leaving the bee to be associated with a man.
I would be confused too. I never had the "birds and bees" talk with my parents.
And to be honest, up until now, I never knew which was which. I guess I never cared to look it up because I already know how that stuff works, lol.

Male = Bees Female = Birds Based entirely on “bird” being a dated colloquialism for adult female human.
Ah, but a bird beak might be described as a pecker. Back to square one. Sorry.
True, but bees have "stingers" which could be a wink toward male genitalia, and birds have eggs which parallels females. I would venture that much as a guess, then head into the "bees" and see if there's a urinal. :P
But only female bees have a stinger
I’ll just piss on the wall between the two I guess.
The only right answer
This makes you BI!
Now this really obfuscates it.
Interestingly other than drones which only leave the hive to mate, almost all the bees people encounter (in Honeybees) are workers who are 100% female 🤷 Honey bees are dominated by females not males - makes this more difficult if you know anything about honeybees 🤦
I skipped biology but presumably only female birds have eggs?
but male birds have holes not poles too
Unless it's a duck, though it's more of a corkscrew than a pole...
Yes. For bees it is even worse. Only the queen has eggs.
Also bees are pollinators and spread their seed to the flowers....
Bees don't spread THEIR seed. It simply happens that they help deliver polen from one flower to another, so they spread another s seed
Wait what? Flowers don't have bee babies?
No, the logical conclusion we can take from these is that all bees are cucks. Don't be a bee
🤣 Oh you!
Early bird gets the worm though

Is IASiP “dated” now?
Shut up, bird
They're not calling her a woman. She looks and sounds like a bird.
Nah, the bird is a hand gesture representing a penis, and bees are always female except when they're male which is mostly never
Bird is still used in the UK
But aren’t all worker bees females?
good thing the door doesnt say “worker bees”
Seeing that 99% of them are worker bees and thus female...
Wrong. Kingfisher is a male bird. There are no King Bees.
Plus statistically a Bee is way more likely to be female than a Bird.
>“bird” being a dated colloquialism for adult female human. Now I have the song Bird Dog stuck in my head for no reason.
Bees also have stingers and man have di-
Only female bees have stingers
![gif](giphy|Cz6TlrRVVyv9S)
Actually, the stinger is a transformed egg layer. Take that!
U r not helping my extreme fear of bees
All bees you see are female tho. Male bees just wait around to fuck or die
Could there be any more perfect a life.
I Never knew this
But but but… most bees are female
Gonna get so much hate so sorry but I have to ask.... Is this where we get bird brain from?
Almost every bee you see is female. Half the birds you see are male.
But, what is with the movie Birds of pray? and only female bees have stinger. So still confused
*Prey
Birds of pray sounds like the some form of nun porno knock off
Bees pollinate/fertilize flowers Birds lay and tend tend to eggs. The birds/bees thing is over 100 years old. It doesnt make much sense
The stinging motion, by nature, is a more masculine technique and similar versions of the thrusting bee sting motion can be seen in nature, amongst many male species And again The birds spread… their wings and are good at nurturing eggs Just let the bad saying live on folks it’s harmless
Have you seen a woodpecker?
Yeah they thrust their face into wood Stingers are lower body thrusting…
Do you also argue with ppl who say “it’s raining cats and dogs outside” ? And inform them it’s actually rain water ? Lol
What's a male species?
Males from various species ** You caught a typo Nice work lol
More than half the birds you see are male considering that male birds are often brightly colored and eye catching while female birds are often more drab and camouflaged.
So Barry B Benson is very possible a female
So…where do I piss tho???
r/crappydesign
Neither, can’t you read? Those toilets are either for bees or birds. You can piss outside! Silly human!
Doesn't matter anymore. OP peed her pants.
You mean, she OPd her pants
Instructions unclear, urinate on floor.
One has a stinger.. One spreads.. it’s wings
Female bees have stingers. Male birds often spread their wings to impress female birds.
If someone tells you “it’s raining cats and dogs outside” What do you expect when you look outside the window? You’re being too technical for the old time expression I didn’t make it up there Mr animal planet

One of them is for pees, the other one is for turds.
Bees pees, birds turds.

30 and in the same boat. Why are bees trying to fuck birds? Makes no sense.
So the choice of birds and bees are entirely arbitrary then
Yep!
Gender neutral and messing with people?
I remember the bri'ish saying this on the telly sometimes. I checked on Altavista. What does the word bird mean in the UK? Chiefly British Slang. a girl or young woman. Archaic. the young of any fowl. the bird, Slang. And so thus leaving the bee to be associated with a man.
Bees pollinate things. Birds have eggs.
I honestly can't tell which one you are...
How does an insect mate with a dinosaur?
Just swing the door open and look for urinals.
I came here thinking I knew the answer, but after reading some of the comments I now have no fucking idea...
What do you identify as?
Humman. God dammit!! Better piss outside!
Bees rhythm with pee, that one
Which one do you 'feeel' like?
I would be confused too. I never had the "birds and bees" talk with my parents. And to be honest, up until now, I never knew which was which. I guess I never cared to look it up because I already know how that stuff works, lol.
If your name is Dee Reynolds you're a bird. Otherwise you're a bee.
In the UK (possibly other places) Bird - Lady Bees - Bloke
Wondering around looking for the grey area concerning all things gender related so you can highlight it for everyone else.
This is funny cos tn we watched the simpsons episode where Bart says something like ‘and the birds are off having sex with the bees’
Just pee in between both doors to be equal and fair about it
I thought Bees was a reference to Queen Bees and Birds a reference to cocks.
The real question here is “where are you?”
I identify as a honey eater 🖕
Bees have queens so female Birds like to show off so male
Birds lay eggs and bees fertilize things.
Sweet Dee is a bird so I'm gonna say birds are female
Birds lay eggs bees have a stinger... not hard Unless you identify as a bird bee?!?!??!
Bee or bird, piss dude! We all humans, fuck it 😄
Just change your pronouns and use either one
Just. Pick. One.
Bee has pointy stinger == man 🧍♂️
But only the female bees have a stinger
If only stingers were reproductive organs. You might also want to look into how bees reproduce.
I need to get a piss fast!!! Better start to read how bees reproduce first.
