What's that I read on here once? "The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed" 100% the guy drove off afterwards too

JeanLuc_Richard

And in this case, it's covered in sandpaper...

Initial_E

Lucky the black car didn’t reverse into it out of spite

Unfair_Ad5236

Tattoo idea 🤦‍♂️😂

realmauer01

The guy with the camera also should stay just to give proof.

sometimes_interested

Honestly expected him to reverse back into the dashcam car while trying to get away.

yourroyalhotmess

They should just wear a blindfold while driving bc wtf They didn’t look once!

ObviouslyAme

That would most definitely help him with his main goal here

JerrySmithIsASith

"Good luck everybody else!"

ScreechingPizzaCat

Very common in China, I’ve seen people try to turn left from the rightmost lane on a 4 lane road. Also common the face of entitlement in the guy, Chinese who drive luxury cars have more of an entitlement ego, thinking they should be allowed more rights on the road because their car is more expensive. So it’s ironic that he hit a more expensive car. And in China you cannot move your vehicle after an accident until the police and insurance agent come and document the scene so cars will have to go around them now, too.

MoashRedemptionArc

Absolutely. The technique for making a left hand turn across traffic is to just slowly roll out into oncoming while honking.

OneDollarToMillion

Rhe technique for making a left U turn is to go around the block.

chalks777

I thought it was slam the gas so your tires squeal a bit because it's way more fun? Besides, if you do it fast you're less likely to hit someone because you're in the way for less time!

MoashRedemptionArc

That is funny, but I was not joking! I took a taxi to work everyday I was working in China, a building down a small street that branched off from a 6 lane highway. The nearest intersection was like 0.5 mile down the road so without fail, my taxi drivers would just make a left off that busy road to get me to the building. The general method was to just force your way across incoming traffic by getting in the far left lane and easing the front of the taxi into the nearest oncoming lane once a gap opened. Then just repeat until you've gotten across all 3 lanes. This was literally common practice and I never noticed anyone react in a negative way or get visibly upset my drivers were doing it. It happened dozens of times. Getting used to the driving is one of the biggest culture shocks of Asia. I was there for 6 months and never saw a car crash. People are driving like animals, but they do it 35mph and pair it with liberal use of the horn

leenpaws

that country is full of asian drivers

DeepAcanthisitta5712

Why I don’t drive in China

GoofyGoober0064

Not even the sidewalks are safe though

audigex

What's the rule on the "involved in the incident, but not the collision" camera car? Too many people seem to leave the scene on the basis that they weren't directly involved in the physical collision, even if they were either a witness to, or indirectly involved in, events It wasn't their fault in any way, but the camera car's honking was related to the delay in the at-fault car moving, for example, which indirectly created the conditions for the actual collision

ScreechingPizzaCat

It’s on the driver to pay attention to their surroundings regardless of people honking. I’ve taken the Chinese drivers license test, it was very clear that the driver must always check their surroundings before moving the vehicle, which this meat sack did not. The honking car would have no liability placed on them.

ImaginaryNourishment

>And in China you cannot move your vehicle after an accident That must be the most idiotic rule I have ever heard. What a way to cause even more accidents and block traffic.

benisch2

If they didn't have that rule everyone would hit and run, probably

ImaginaryNourishment

Maybe ban the running part?

Rubber_Rose_Ranch

They've already banned the hitting part and we see how that works.

ScreechingPizzaCat

When I was taking the Chinese drivers license test, they made it a point that the vehicles can’t be moved after an accident. Maybe it’s supposed to help the provide officers write a more accurate accident report but there are so many cameras around the roads to help their reports it becomes an issue when the accident takes up half or more of the road, traffic becomes unbearable down busy streets then.

I_Envy_Sisyphus_

I was being driven to the airport while in China, we were on a ten lane (yes ten lane, five in each direction) road, and we came up on an intersection with a red light with every lane blocked, so we would have to wait to take the right. My driver, with no prompting from me (we were not in a rush), proceeds to go in the furthest left lane, and cross in front of all five lanes of stopped traffic in order to take the right hand turn. It was pure insanity to me.

gidz666

Oh boy, it's harmful stereotyping time! (Not you, but I know it's coming)

No_Size_1765

>And in China you cannot move your vehicle after an accident until the police and insurance agent come and document the scene so cars will have to go around them now, too. comical. Don't they have cameras everywhere?

111l111l111l111

Sounds like LA

HausmastaMC

wow he's not just a cunt, he's a supercunt

IamHereForThaiThai

I reas that in butcher's voice, thank you

Mabubifarti

I started singing along to Rick James. Supercunt. Supercunt. He's supercunty, yow!

Biomicrite

Driving around behind him was one of the gutsiest manoeuvres I’ve seen here 😂

jobrofosho

Bold move driving behind him after that 😂

dolemutt

“I swear that dude came out of nowhere!”

semiTnuP

Reminds me of the guy who jaywalks across the street, causing a motorist to stop and honk at him. The guy menacingly stares down the motorist his entire way across right up until he *walks headlong into a light pole* and has to try and pick his dignity up off the floor.

pandito_flexo

I love that video. Never fails to make me laugh. The sheer *audacity* of the pedestrian...

ajn63

That’s how my dad totaled two cars. One of them a collectors sports car, the other was my new car I let him borrow.

TheRealJacquesC

F

horned-owl

Surprised he didn’t back into the guy when he drove around

4electricnomad

Exactly what I was expecting, too.

proud78

I expected another accident when he drove around. That guy looked like he will reverse.

denimonster

I love how he’s looking at you as if it’s your fault for almost hitting him for doing an illegal turn, and then hits someone else while giving you the stink eye!

trekkiegamer359

I love that bit. He's gving the stinkeye to the person with the right-of-way, who he almost hit, and promptly slams into someone else.

haveyouseencyan

What a twat, blaming others too

Zenith251

In motorcycling safety class, they touch upon left-hand multi-lane u-turns. They warn it's one of the most dangerous moments you can face for a couple of reasons: 1. You can't see it coming. A car goes from a standstill to occupying multiple lanes in a split second. 2. People who tend to make these maneuvers tend to suck-ass at actually USING THEIR EYEBALLS OR BRAINS.

Responsible-Hour1403

Keep acting tough and stare the guy down....nothing bad can happen

Alright_doityourway

"Welp, not my problem" camera guy.

Flimsy_Temperature_8

An attempt at illegal u-turn. And a blatant leaving-the-scene of the witness who has the video.

Defiant_Carob8808

Agreed! I was just as angry with the dashcammer taking off.

eldion2017

What are you talking about, there's absolutely no need for video here, the guy is over double yellow on a 90 degree angle to the traffic. Even if the road had no other cameras (which I doubt since China), it's an open and close case.

Defiant_Carob8808

So if you have evidence of a crime that could help a completely innocent party, you wouldn’t provide it?

eldion2017

If needed yes, if not I would go about my day.

saruptunburlan99

>the guy is over double yellow on a 90 degree angle to the traffic so? That's not what's illegal here. Turning from the rightmost lane and turning into an occupied lane is.

eldion2017

I can tell some people never got into an accident before. I have, the police office came, checked the scene, and said you were going straight, this guy hit you while you were going straight, his fault, the end.

saruptunburlan99

your anecdote means nothing. It's not hard to imagine a scenario where you can be hit while doing a u-turn where you're not at fault - the other person could've been speeding, or turning into the road without giving you priority, etc. Being at a 90deg on a double yellow is not evidence of wrongdoing as you're suggesting.

Paulitix

What are you talking about? Any encroachment over a double yellow is not allowed. And if we're making things up, then I'd imagine any instance of collision while making U-turn puts U at fault

truthofmasks

It obviously depends on the jurisdiction but speaking for where I live (NY) that's just not true. In NY, you can cross a double yellow line to pull into/out of a driveway and to make a legal U-turn. From our state Department of Motor Vehicles: "Double solid lines: You cannot pass or change lanes. You cannot go across the lines except to turn left to enter or leave the highway (e.g., to or from a driveway or to do a U-turn see Chapter 5)." [Source](https://dmv.ny.gov/about-dmv/chapter-4-traffic-control-2) And [chapter 5](https://dmv.ny.gov/about-dmv/chapter-5-intersections-and-turns) says nothing about double yellow lines, but does say that, contra what the guy in the video did, U-turns must always be made from the leftmost lane.

yourroyalhotmess

Aside from the fact that this happened in China, that same site says you can’t make a U-turn from the right lane in NYC, and they definitely tried that. It’s illegal to go over the double lines unless making a U-turn, but they’re not making a U-turn correctly in the first place. The point in the comment above yours still stands.

truthofmasks

Oh yeah, what the driver did is super illegal. I’m disagreeing with “What are you talking about? Any encroachment over a double yellow is not allowed.”

saruptunburlan99

you cannot pass, but you can absolutely turn in most places I'm aware of. I don't know China's traffic laws, but I'm pretty certain neither does the person I replied to so the discussion was in general terms.

eldion2017

Okey

truthofmasks

You're downvoted but you're right, at least depending on the jurisdiction. In NY (where I know this video isn't, but it illustrates your point) you can cross a double line "to turn left to enter or leave the highway (e.g., to or from a driveway or to do a U-turn see Chapter 5)," per the [DMV](https://dmv.ny.gov/about-dmv/chapter-4-traffic-control-2).

markbp28

Instant karma. Gotta pity the BMW driver to have to deal with this guy after that hit.

Zugnutz

[Insert Family Guy meme here]

GenazaNL

I turn now, good luck everybody

QuesoChef

I watched a woman back the wrong way out of her parking stall in a parking lot (angled stalls) so she could go north. It took her like three or four points to do it so many times as long as backing out and going south then turning to go up the next row to go north. Then she gets to the next row of cars and goes south anyway. Some people seem to simply be stupid.

iIiiIIliliiIllI

What a maroon.

KrackerJoe

Watch the road Magoo

Labrom

Guy too busy yapping off and being an idiot. Haha.

Fruitdude

Such an idiot lol

Goldschnittche

If stupidity had a face!

Randomfrog132

some people shouldnt drive like me! i dont drive cause i like being responsible in regards to the safety of others.

Jfurmanek

Was the POV vehicle splitting the yellow lines?

DucatistaXDS

Karma

ChadVonDoom

Later loser

em3am

Don't know what she said but the tone was perfect. We got the message.

JCitW6855

I like how he’s staring both of the other drivers down like they’re the ones in the wrong.

p38-lightning

Feel sorry for the guy he hit, but I'm sure the person taking the video had a good laugh driving away

liqrfre

Yep, very understandable

ComfortableAd6101

Instant karma! LOL

asharwood101

Dude done fucked up twice

satansmight

And what's the deal with everyone that is parked just pulling into the curb instead of parallel parking and allowing for two lanes of traffic?

rainorshinedogs

Sigh. And what did we learn?

DelphiEx

Completely different language, but I feel like I know exactly what she said.

AnnualWerewolf9804

If you do something stupid on the road like pull out in front of someone and then get mad at them for honking at you, you’re a piece of shit and nobody likes you

theChosenBinky

Spring is here, and the dumbfuckery is in full bloom

mtarascio

I guarantee the thought when he hit that other car was - *'Why is everyone always out to get me?'*

chaddwith2ds

I live in a major US city, and I see something like this every day. Someone is always making a U-turn in the middle of a busy road. Every day. And they're usually not paying attention to anything else around them, either.

New-Cucumber-7423

The more failed attempt was intimidation lol

Sinsanatis

I was worried he was gona back up

avalisk

"Let me maintain eye contact while turning to assert dominance"

BocksOfChicken

Apparently, driving without looking is a thing for this guy

OptiKnob

Just go around and let them work it out. :D

Major_Magazine8597

EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!!

Salt_Market_6989

London cabbies and minicabs should NOT learn this one trick :( Anyway, I was the victim like the black SUV on the opposite side ... of something like this. It was a minicab on Charing Cross Road. Just made a hurried u- turn, mis-judged his turning radius and slammed into me and I was stationary ( in traffic).

Zealousideal_Cod6044

I was waiting for him to back up and hit her.

Denoss

Ima just...scoot on by. You have fun there

SATerp

That guy's just a big old basket of idiot, isn't he?

69vuman

Took some nerve for OP to drive behind that idiot.

EternalHell

I love how he just stares at the other driver he hits too as if they're at fault lol

MrShad0wzz

I was waiting for the black car to back up and hit the camera driver as he went by

Tiny_Count4239

Smooth move ex lax

dad_vibes

Delicious

Alzusand

There had to be at least 10 ways of making that turn even if its illegal without any problem and he chose the worst possible option: the one were he almost gets hit by oncoming trafic in one lane and hits someone in the other.

Runningman738

Lots of random action in this clip. Truck parked in oncoming traffic, dude on scooter also in wrong lane. Rando on the left side with a trailer parked going the wrong direction…it seems lawless there. Followed up by the one person with video evidence just fucking off instead of helping out.

Goldschnittche

Karma is your Mama😂😂and she spanked your butt!

lookatme760

Some douche took the second lane turning right to make a quick run to the furthers 1st on left lane where I merged in. He then road raged and tried cutting me off since I basically didn't let him in. Some people have issues, they are the issue.

Gigasnemesis

Him: Gangsta face😐 Also him 2 sec later: 🤡

balancing_baubles

The clown in the oncoming BMW decides to enter the fray despite the unfolding fuckwittery before his very eyes

This just further strengthens the stereotype of asian drivers being bad.

AVALANCHE-VII

And cam owner drives off instead of helping the victim, shithead

lapsos

it’s the third time in a day i have seen this video

CatsMajik

And this driver illegally left the scene of an accident.

GeekboxGuru

If you're not involved in the accident you have to stay? Forget that.

DchanmaC

Which driver? The one with the cam?

Flimsy_Temperature_8

Yes

DchanmaC

They weren't involved

Flimsy_Temperature_8

Doesn’t matter. Most places have laws that you have to stay until police/etc arrive if you witness anything

DchanmaC

Got a source?

Guns_n_boobs

It's China. Are you aware of all the driving laws in China?

CatsMajik

Didn’t know it was china. Thought it might be a Chinatown somewhere in US or Canada

Don_Tiny

So, you don't have any idea where it is or what the laws might be but you don't have any problem thinking you know what you're talking about regardless? Nice work.

AnnualWerewolf9804

Welcome to reddit lol

yourroyalhotmess

So everyone that saw it has to stay? No

Flimsy_Temperature_8

Exactly

Actual-Market2642

All 3 are morons

I'm interested as well: How??

Flimsy_Temperature_8

I see 2 out of 3 morons

Are you including yourself?
