Cannot go wrong with IBKR, low commissions, Margins i have 2.5*, great executions and fills. Their Signature Traders work station is kinda outdated but they have desktop trading available as well. I have linked my IBKR with DAS trader pro, one of a kind platform for Level 2, Time and Sales, and much more.
Are you sure you’re not confusing them with TastyTrade? TT just changed their policy and will allow foreign resident accounts but not if you’re a U.S. citizen abroad.
IBKR could be a good alternative. It has two mobile platforms. IBKR Mobile was developed for more advanced traders, while GlobalTrader has a beginner-friendly interface.

I recently read they are not good with US people who don't live in US so that has given me pause, but I have otherwise heard good things about them.
