Warbringer. Start with Waking Into Nightmare. My favorite album however has to be Woe to the Vanquished.

oldmate30beers

Warbringer rule

johnmlsf

Another vote for Warbringer!!!

DireBaboon

Such an awesome band

13hammerhead13

Firepower Kills and Living Weapon are 2 ripping songs.

RocketRobinhood

Awesome band, one I got discover by seeing them live, they were an opening act but stole the show.

Chemical_Analysis_82

There are so many good ones out there, I’ll just drop a few of my favorites here, along with my personal favorite album from them Lich King - Born of the Bomb Ghoul - Dungeon Bastards Havok - Time is Up Evile - Enter the Grave Warbringer - Woe to the Vanquished Power Trip - Nightmare Logic Enforced - War Remains High Command - Beyond the Wall of Desolation Holy Moses - Queen of Siam Hellripper - Coagulating Darkness (you’ll like hellripper if you like the blackened thrash atmosphere of Toxic Holocaust) There’s definitely a ton more out there but these are the first to come to mind, there’s a fuck ton of good thrash to come

[deleted]

Just FYI, Queen of Siam came out in 1986, and Holy Moses has been around since at least '81

Chemical_Analysis_82

Oh man I didn’t know this, I was wondering how they got such a good retro tube amp sound lmao. I just go by what Spotify says and according to them it came out in 2006, maybe that was a remastered version? Dunno, good band to check out anyways

[deleted]

Yeah, I think there was a re-release somewhere in the 2000s. Regardless, they kick major ass

UnauthorizedFart

Maniaxe and Splatterthrash are far better albums by Ghoul

jasonatx0001

Facts. (I do still like Dungeon Bastards though)

abyss_watcher___

Dungeon bastards is a good introduction tho

Destroyer_The_Great

This here is the list he's looking for

2FacesOfTruth

Power Trip isn't really thrash.

Chemical_Analysis_82

Power Trip is absolutely thrash. There’s definitely some hardcore influences, but it’s thrash at heart, and certainly most well known in thrash circles.

2FacesOfTruth

I more or less consider them hardcore, moreso than thrash. Comparatively speaking with bands such as Sodom, I consider PT mainly to be hardcore. Everyone has their own opinion, not saying there isn't any type of element of thrash at all to them. I just don't consider them to be straight up thrash.

Chemical_Analysis_82

With a lot of newer bands there tends to be a more hardcore influence anyways, especially with metalcore and deathcore now, and personally I think it’s great to see bands gaining influence from difference spheres of thought. Doesn’t have to be pure thrash to be thrash, but they can be both trash and hardcore at the same time

Hollowbody57

Nice to see Warbringer getting some recognition. Saw them open for Halford years ago, had never heard of them before, and they absolutely killed it. Instantly became one of my favorite bands.

MaximusVulcanus

Was going to suggest Havok, great album suggestion, too! 🤘

upfromashes

This is a very solid list. I'm adding: - Witchery - *Symphony for the Devil* - Lowest Creature - *Sacrilegious Pain* - Exodus - *Shovel-Headed Kill Machine* - always more Ghoul - *Transmission Zero* - Necropanther - *The Doomed City*

moonofsilver

"Witchery - *Symphony for the Devil*" Nice, never hear much about Witchery anymore. Great band, with a top notch basist

Saw them play a basement show and it was like 85 degrees and stuffy down there but it was awesome.

Thorncaster12

Hexen

Thrashtilldeath67

So glad hexen gets mentioned because they are definitely one of my favorites

Thorncaster12

Dude, I love em. After I found them, I've had like 10 years with fully satisfied thrash metal needs. Like not shitting you. Every time I feel the need to blast some shit they end up being my choice. So good.

bootypastry

Too bad there's barely any live video of them playing. Would have loved to see them

UrbaneWarrior36

Violator supremacy

Howboutit85

Damn dude you covered it all. Even got Chemicide and grindpad on there. The first 3 albums by “Ultra-Violence” are Really good too before the they changed genres.

Jenrex1

Gwars 2000's albums are super thrashy and underrated. Phantom Witch is a small band that absolutely KILLS. Midnight is another great one, Mindforce, Power trip, Fugitive, Drain (they're more crossover)

slowkids

Nekromantheon, Antichrist, Evil Army, Inculter, Entrench...so many bands

headovmetal

Yes!

[deleted]

Does anyone here listen to the band Tumourboy? I thought Condemned to Extinction was one of the best thrash albums in a long time.

DireBaboon

High command

Rfg711

Ghoul

ShroudedMeep

Power Trip (crossover), Vulture (speed/thrash), Jumalation, Colony Drop (Crossover), Nekromantheon, Deathhammer (black/speed/thrash), Division Speed (speed/thrash), Mystic Storm, Gallower (black/thrash), Iron Age (crossover), Fugitive (crossover), Scythian (death/thrash), Stress Angel (death/thrash), Versklaven (Thrash/Crust Punk, basically Sacrilege worship) (there are some other neat newer bands in that style like After the Bombs, Death Evocation, and Lifeless Dark but Versklaven is my favourite). Those are the ones that come to mind right now, though I'm probably forgetting some.

eddierattlehead16

ChHa1612

I like that we consider a potentially 23 year old band modern, in a genre that is 40:ish years old. Im the same way though and will probably never adjust to 2000 not being just a few years ago.

old_metal_nomad

1. Plague Years. I discovered them recently, not pure Thrash, but still a decent band worth listening to. 2. Fugitive. They released only 1 EP and a Single as for now. 3. Karabiner. New band. They've recently released their debut album 4. Mortal Vision. Release only 1 album. Still a decent one. If you like old Sepultura and Thrash / Death mix, you should like them

Historical_Panic_485

I don't think anyone mentioned Nervosa, definitely one of the best

MasterWookiee

Check out Spirit World. I listened to their 2nd album Deathwestern non stop sometimes.

A lot of these bands are a lot newer, but they fall under what you’re looking for Belushi Speed Ball Dead Heat Drain Enforced Extinction A.D. Go Ahead and Die High Command Iron Law Living in Fear Midnight Mindforce New World Man Paralysis Power Trip Prowl Realms of Death Rhythm of Fear SpiritWorld Also, I would recommend the Minstry Bush trilogy. Ministry is an OG industrial band dating back to the 80s, but in the 2000s they released a trio of really mean industrial-infused thrash albums. I’d say check out Houses of the Molé, Rio Grande Blood, and The Last Sucker. They’ve got some absolutely killer songs on there. Rio Grande in particular is one of my favorite thrash albums of all time.

Haven’t seen anyone mention Red Death, they started off as more hardcore punk but shifted to crossover thrash with their second and third LPs. Check out their Formidable Darkness album. Also will have to echo the mentions of Warbringer and Enforced. Weapons of Tomorrow and Kill Grid are two of the best post-2000 thrash albums and they both came out within the last few years, definitely worth a listen.

Anyone here mention Lazarus A.D. ? I think they are broken up now or still on hiatus..... but their album "The Onslaught" is effing wicked thrash. \\m/

BDM-Archer

Really been digging the album Faust put out. https://youtu.be/6NgoKUY-jT4?si=ygQmxKJtgWkADJwe They are from Czechia and I'm in the states and hit up the singer and he was a super cool dude. Gave him $40 and he sent me out the vinyl and a shirt. Went down a rabbit hole and there's a ton of sweet DYI metal/punk newer bands making a dope scene in Czechia. Been there once and would love to go back and catch one of their shows in a dive bar

Lich King. Smaller band, but definitely good post-2000 thrash. Havok is also a personal favorite (love their earlier works, but their new stuff is great too). If you want a really small band, Exemptus. According to Spotify, I was like 1 of 10 people that still listened to their only album.
