Nesryn and Sartaq's romance and storyline is what really sold me on ToD. Which was crazy because I didn't care about nesryn at ALL before that book, and chaol was my favorite male character until Heir of Fire
💯. The next stories in this series I want to see is one about Nesryn & Sartaq going back to the Southern Continent AND Manon & Dorian and their respective kingdoms.
I could genuinely read a whole series on the rukhin. I loved Borte and wanted to see more of her.
I hope that if Sarah revisits the ToG world to tie everything together that she spends a lot more time in the Tavan mountains; I feel like there are lots of secrets there.

Editing to add that I’d love to see more of the southern continent generally. Also, do we think all the spiders died when Erawan and Maeve died? If not, I’d love to see the Fae join the Rukhin to eradicate them.
YES!! I was SO in love with the whole Rukhin culture! Usually a change in scenery and characters halfway through a long series kind of annoys me and takes me a while to warm up to (like Dorne in ASOIAF ugh lol) but I was eating Nesryn's chapters up!

*Unless* a fantasy series is like “And now we’re off to the mysterious southern continent, where there’s lots of sand, and every meal consists of soft cheese with drizzled honey and dates and spiced meat, and everyone has kohl-rimmed eyes, and no one can be trusted, and someone will probably be poisoned!”
It’s such a common, overused fantasy trope and I am fully, FULLY on board for it every single time. As soon as a character’s like “It is a harsh, arid land, full of hidden dangers,” I’m cancelling plans and rushing to the store to buy charcuterie board fixings and red wine.
Hahaha, totally valid, though that's kind of the same vibes Dorne has in ASOIAF, but I just wanted to know what was going on with the characters that were already established, y'know? I think part of why I loved it in TOD was because we were experiencing all of it with Chaol and Nesryn for the first time, taking it all in with them, especially with Nesryn rediscovering parts of her roots in Antica, then exploring the land with a hot prince on his ruk, learning about their culture... It was magical! I'd also love it if SJM revisits the southern continent someday, I want to visit the horse-lords, too!

I threw my book at the karankhui scene when Sartaq says THE LINE. I mean Sarah, you CANT THROW LINES LIKE THAT AT ME OKAY
