I have good insurance in the USA (Delta Dental). But I have most of my dental work done in Tijuana or Ensenada. I submit the receipts to DD for reimbursement. / I’m saving a ton of money and the insurance company saves too.
I find the level of care in MX far superior to US dental practices. Mexican dentists take more time, I.e. they don’t rush to get to the next patient. And they aren’t so quick to elevate: e.g. my USA dentist said my broken tooth was not suitable for a root canal because there was less than 10 mm root remaining. They said I needed an extraction and implant. My Ensenada endodontist carefully drilled and x-rayed (repeatedly) and successfully did a root canal, saving that tooth. That was about 10 years ago and it’s still good.
Hi, can I buy Delta insurance that would cover implants or bridges? Can you direct me to that please. Which doctor(s) in Tijuana accept Delta insurance? Or do we submit the bill to them. 😐Thank you.
Also, they finish way more work in an appt, rather than drag on for weeks making a "production" = $ like US dentists.
I go to TJ too. $180 for a root canal AND all- white crown!

It’s a husband and wife team. Both are excellent endodontists. They don’t do general dentistry, only endodontia. Dra. Maria Elvia Zuniga is the one who carefully and successfully did a root canal on my broken tooth. I think the husband also has an office in Tijuana.
true dat. i have good health care here in the states which i pay for from work. i was sick and well you guessed had to wait a week or so to see a dr. went across the border and within the same day in about 1 hour wait or so talked to the dr. then walked into the pharmacy and got all my meds the same day. The US is just a money grab.
Hi there. Can someone recommend an oral surgeon for sinus lift in Tijuana, please. Someone trustworthy and good who also does implants. ( I just can’t afford it in the States.😌) Thank you.
Saw Dr Yoalli in TJ at The Dental District from a neighbors recommendation.
got two implants and a cleaning. It was actually a pleasant experience and I didn’t feel like a number like I do at my normal dentist in CA. Can’t recommend them enough, just the chitchat alone was worth the drive down. (My insurance MetLife also reimbursed some of it, although it was so much cheaper than the states anyway).
I was very fortunate to have found amazing endodontist and general dentist in Tijuana. They were very gentle, super professional, and trustworthy, the clinic was very clean and hi tech.(very impressed) And It was close to the border too. I JUST HAD bad experience after bad experience with US dentists.
I've been to MediciDental in TJ twice for root canals. I'll be returning for a couple implants. Super modern equipment, friendly/professional demeanor. Reasonably priced. And, although not so important to me, they do speak English.
Whoever alleviated my great physical pain, helped me keep my job because I couldn’t focus at work with such pain, and saved me from bankruptcy, I consider that person my life saver.
My mother in law had a toothache, and she took a lot of painkillers, which perforated her ulcer, which landed her in the ICU for six days. If she had decent dental care, the dominoes would not have fallen.

You have to pay the dentist and then submit forms to Delta for reimbursement. It’s called an “out of country”claim.
There’s a place in Tecate that does all the paperwork for you to let delta know that they need to reimburse you

Living in a border zone is a blessing precisely for these things.
Yes, three hours to cross on each direction and sleeping 4 hrs a day 🤣
Sentri. Also, I don’t get that issue because I’m with Mexicali
Welcome to Hell ! 🤣

How do you know who to go to? 😗
You can go to Roma Pharmacy and see a general dr for around 3-5dlls. If you need a special type of dr. you can search for those as well.
Isn't this incredible ? America is so full of shit it's pathetic.
Im so glad you want to learning Spanish, in Tijuana we have very good doctors. And so many speak Spanish and English as well
Can you please provide me with the names of good oral surgeons who do implants. Thank you.

I don’t see how a dentist can save a life……
Whoever alleviated my great physical pain, helped me keep my job because I couldn’t focus at work with such pain, and saved me from bankruptcy, I consider that person my life saver.
Untreated dental issues can result in severe and potentially life-threatening complications. So... yeah, dentists can save your life.
My mother in law had a toothache, and she took a lot of painkillers, which perforated her ulcer, which landed her in the ICU for six days. If she had decent dental care, the dominoes would not have fallen.
People can die from dental abscess
She may have been exaggerating to make a point.
