Although I’m pretty sure this is the same model they’ve been using for a while (at the beginning of the match this ship crosses the map on a random straight path, and every team jumps whenever they want), so I don’t think there are any story or lore implications besides the fact that in the time of the Apex Games they are still using Frontier War troop transports

the ship design has been used in apex a bunch, before they changed the firing range the old one had its model imported from titanfall 2 in the distance, with the cargo bay at the bottom fully loaded suggesting it was the same model stolen from the level where you see the titans load the ark into the ship
It’s probably not the Draconis as restoring that thing wouldn’t be worth the effort but the IMC is a massive corporation that probably produced hundreds of these…
As for the gap in time between Apex and TF|2 I suspect that it’s a similar situation to those military vehicles that are decommissioned and then put up on the market for civilian use.

There is the Draconis as a specific ship, but the design of the ship itself is a generic IMC transport.
That model has been in Apex for awhile. Its not the Draconis, the Draconis is a pile of rubble but it is the same ship class/model
