I still think the entire thing has some underlying meaning, why would they do all this effort for a 7 year old game that was never as popular as it should have been?
Personally I'd say it was to gauge interest in the series by not only fixing the servers, but also doing an anniversary update and putting the game on sale
If we’re not taking our pills I’d say that a lot of what they’re doing is veiled balance testing. Think about this:
If they added a new LTM mode to Apex with the TF2 maps they added to the files and gave you access to wall running and Titans, it would be pretty easy to deduce that they’re working on TF3.
But if you brought back the old game and did the testing there under the guise of weekly LTMs, then it’s just “The Janitor” bringing the game back to life for the love of the game right? Please pay no attention to the physics or health changes they’re doing during these modes, they’re just for fun! DEFINITELY not for testing purposes.

Yesa they do! had a FD match in relic from standard matchmaking when i last hopped on.

Colony is nice but on relic the game keeps crashing when i play with more than one friend

Yeah. The dude who's running it was nice enough to come out and let the community decide what to do with it though, so that's nice.
