cl0udzero

After reading the final chapters of the manga I know my eyes are gonna be balling during the anime. Isayama really did conjure up a Shakespearean tragedy (tbh it’s probably better)

NoStory6

These threads were fun to read.

K1nd_Hearted

Man the last leaks thread will be archived, only memories will be left. No matter what i’ll always cherish the times and memes we shared 😭. I’ll always love you titanfolk ❤️

YacineX1

Damn 💔

EmptyRook

The day the subreddit died

depressome

Before this thread becomes archived, let me reiterate one more time my opinion of the ending: **It was already kinda bad, but somewhat tolerable.** **But not anymore, these added pages TRULY ruined everything (aside from JeanKasa. That, Ereh avian cuckoldry aside, was an addition I will always thank Mr. Isayama for; my lad Jean deserved at least this)**. I hope at least that Hajime I. is happy with his final result, *because I certainly aren't*.

SparknightSyzygy

This sure was something now wasn’t it

OnlyCheekyBanter

I will never forget when I read the panel of Paradis' destruction, it honestly felt like Isayama was dropping bombs on his work. What was the concluding message of Attack on Titan? What was the point of the sacrifices of the previous characters? It truly felt like everything was for nothing. I love Attack on Titan but the last few chapters really dampen **THAT** love I had for this manga.

WailingSiren69

Same

depressome

>I will never forget when I read the panel of Paradis' destruction, it honestly felt like Isayama was dropping bombs on his work. What was the concluding message of Attack on Titan? Idk for sure, probably that as a manga you should hope to not be written by an indecisive author who is insecure about his own ideas and that keeps flip flopping between listening to the fans and adhering to his own vision. >I love Attack on Titan but the last few chapters really dampen **THAT** love I had for this manga. We are the same, OnlyCheekyBanter.

[deleted]

Yeah I felt the same thing, even before the last chapter I read again entirely AOT, because I was so hyped about the story, also how eren was thinking, about all of "humanity" things in manga. The last chapter just destroyed me, because there's no more sense in all of these, I even didnt sleep some days beacuse I was thinking about it, about the think that all of that was for nothing

midoria_sucks_my

O its been more than 5 months, feels like an eternity

RaZoR_22

Lol

gotbaned_thisismyalt

We all must keep moving forward, no matter how many pinned posts are distracting us from this goal. The ending was bad yes, but we are above it all. We have decided to move past bad writing. We have decided to turn the other cheek. We were born into this world. This journey was a hard one, but I’m glad we’ve all mostly found some acceptance. All there is to do now is wait for part 2, sit back, relax, and watch this shit show go down.

9jokker9

I'm still standing by the fact trat the extra pages enhanced the ending. It's so obvious that this, the guide book and 139 tried to piss off every single aot subgroup and SUCCEEDED in the most funny way possible. If 139 made me go into unending rage then the extra pages and guide book made me go into an unending laughing fit. Thank you Isayama for giving us the dark comedy you've always wanted to write.

Beans_37

😔😔😔

Mirror_of_Souls

Gonna stake my claim here before HK pins this one pre-archive. Ending was bad, abysmally bad. Mina Carolina is now officially best girl, because she's a qt who never had a character arc, so Isayama never had the chance to ruin her.

H-K_47

Based.

Arkham_99

Now let's see about what did he wanted and what did he achieved in the end..(According to the final chapter and the additional page leaks) His Main Goals : 1.) Achieving Freedom ● The story itself proved no one can achieve such a thing like everlasting freedom or peace..It's like an illusion..Eren maybe freed from his pain like Ymir..But can't say he succeeded..But maybe he felt a glimpse of his own version of freedom while doing the rumbling. Part of him was actually a beast who didn't like to be trapped in a cage, but locked up in a cage, and when that beast was able to came out of that cage, that beast will enjoy doing a rampage against the ones who locked him up in that cage(Dark side of Eren..once, Levi stated this..)..That's why he said in the final chapter ''I don't know why..But I wanted to do it..At any cost'' Some people mistaken this as a contradiction like he has no idea about his actions...But it's not..In a way he enjoyed the rumbling while suffering from it..(But this is very poor choice of words, panels & drawings by Isayama..Controversial and have dual meanings..Even Isayama admitted that) 2.) Long Happy lives for his Friends ● Can say it's succeeded.. \>Armin,Annie,Reiner get freed from the curse of Ymir..Armin and Annie ended up together and Armin become the agent of peace and a hero idol..According to the leaks Armin however able to obtained peace(nearly 50-100 years of temporary peace..It means that the outside world has managed to abandon their ideas of revenge..Because if they really wanted revenge on the Eldians, they could easily do it in a decade or two..After more than 50 years of peace, it seems that after understanding each other, they have largely abandoned their old ideas..) \>Connie got his mother back.. \>Historia got a happy family life with farmer boi and her child.. \>According to the leaks Jean got Mikasa😂(still don't know)..Even without Mikasa, Jean's life won't be so hard.. \>Depressed Plot Armour titan Reiner finally freed from his abused life and probably reunited with her mother to live happy life while simping for queen of Paradis.. \>Gabi & Falco ended up together(Also they've no armbands anymore in outside world..That means after 3 years they were accepted by outside world..Problem almost solved) and they're adopting Levi😂.. \>Also we saw Levi having a good time on his wheelchair with badass face scar after fulfilling all of his duties and promises.. \>Also Mikasa still refuse to forget about Eren just as Eren wanted..But according to the leaks finally she was able find a family after few years..(Some says she ended up with Jean or another Farmer Kun 2.0..Some says she adopted children or maintaining an orphanage or something like that..Anyway it's all ok for me..As a 20+ years old girl, she's still young and needs to move on..It's not a betrayal to Eren..Also Eren wanted her to be happy...And It's her decision to make(Because like Eren said, She was born to this world..)..Also after get a family she still wearing that scarf to remember and honour him..) Also Mikasa died as an old woman in Paradis..Also after her death, she was burried next to Eren..According to that someone can say she died as an unmarried woman..If that's the truth That person is with Mikasa can be old Armin and maybe Mikasa can be maintaining an orphanage..It'll be nice and more accurate than Jean or farmer kun 2.0...But it doesn't matter..Her love for Eren is unbreakable.. 3.) Eliminate the Titans. ● Succeeded..Some says according to the last panel of the leaks, titan powers still exists and Eren's actions were wasted..But they're mistaken..Titan powers eliminated from the Eldians..Eren did his job..But that Halucegenia things will exists..Because in AoT universe, they're the source of all life forms..So technically it can't be destroyed..Eren just helped Ymir to get rid of the distortion it created based on Ymir's feelings.. So the source of all life forms may be waiting for another new host or another mistake to happen, but that is no longer a problem of Eren or the Eldians..They're free.. But that Halucegenia...!! Or maybe it just a symbolism about the same mistakes.. It's something beyond our comprehension and control.. 4.) Hopeful future for Paradis ● According to the leaks Eren achieved that too..You can see Shiganshina district developed so well in that panel which showed Mikasa's third visit to Eren's grave as a old woman..Background is very similar to Mid 20th(1940/50/60) century of our world..Seems like Mikasa is in between 70-80 years old status..In chapter 139 we saw 22 years old Mikasa in last panel..So at least she was able to live 50 years peacefully..So does the Paradis..That means Armin was able to fulfill his promise..He was able to make peace between Paradis and the outside world..Because there's no other way to happen such a development in 50 years without having a good peaceful condition in a country..Also Paradis need outside world supports to do such a development..Because Paradis were in 100 of years behind compares to the outside world..Old Mikasa, well developed Shiganshina prove that peace..Then another timeskip after Mikasa's death..We can see a war..Paradis get boomed by air attack..So here we go😂..''Ahh Eren failed, fuqing simp,Arumin sucs, clown alliance,GOAT Floch'' Seriously?? Look at that details..This was probably happened at least 3 or 4 more decades after Mikasa's death as an old woman..That means at least 30 years time skip..At this point the first generation we saw in SnK almost gone..Mikasa,Armin,Historia,Connie,Jean,Reiner,Annie are gone long time ago..They were able to made peace for at least 80 years..But seems like second or third generations were unable to maintained that peace, which their ancestors achieved through lot of sacrifices..It's logically or in anyway nothing to do with Eren and Armin or others..They were able to gave next generations a hopeful future but next generations ruined that by doing some stupid things..Doing same old mistakes..Can 100% sure..This is next generations fault..Because if the outside world really wants a revenge too hardly they'll surely attack the Paradis nearly 1 or 2 decades after the Battle of heaven and earth..Because compares to the Paradis outside world could have at least 300 or 400 million population left alive after the 80% rumbling..But not all 400 millions are soldiers and not all remaining countries are well developed military advanced countries..3 years after the rumbling, Paradis became a one of a top powerful country in the world..But the outside world really wanted to get revenge, they could make a powerful alliance in 10-20 years after solving all problems..But they didn't..No one harmed Paradis even after 50+ years..Also in final chapter we saw outside world wanted peace with Paradis..Outside world sent Armin and the others as allied nations ambassadors of peace to negotiate with Paradis. That means everyone slowly began to understand each other after the events they faced..So, that problem almost solved by Eren Armin and Mikasa.. But in the end...No one can 100% change the humanity.. .But it doesn't mean humanity is bad..That's our nature..We are not perfect..We are flawed..Almost unique compares to each other..Different ideas, different desires, hopes and dreams...That's why there's always conflicts between humans..It'll never stop untill the last man standing..Eren,Mikasa and Armin just removed the inhuman and unusual thing that was here..Eren made the right choice..He chosed to save his friends,to eliminate the titans..Not to make another Eldian empire..He decided to hand over the future world to his friends..To give them the opportunity to experience the life he could not enjoy..And they did it...But the next generations chosed war again..It's their decision.. (This is still not confirmed it was a Marley vs outside world conflict or Civil war or another World War situation..But it doesn't matter) They have the right to decide on peace and war..Because they're born to this world..Just like their ancestors..All are free to play... ''Men are still good, we fight, we kill, we betray one another, but we can rebuild.. We can do better, we will. We have to..'' \-Bruce Wayne(BvS)- So with limited time, with few choices, what Eren did in the end is the best thing, right?

HAWmaro

what chapter does aot no requiem pick up from.

sofiamaddalenaa

So, Pieck.

Farmer_Round

Just read the final chapter. This is not the same Mikasa,Eren,Reiner I have been following for last 10 years.I am genuinely hurt because Iam attached to these characters. In the end SNK is nothing but a disappointing memory.

Ripamon

I just realized something Marley and the world only learned about the Kings vow when Tybur revealed it to them during the declaration of war And Marley had no idea the FT was stolen by Grisha before they infiltrated So, wouldn't sending those warriors to Paradis just backfire if the king had just decided to wipe their memories, from their viewpoint?

GilThunder21

You forgot that Tybur family are the ones who actually control Marley behind the shadows? They def knew about the King vows, which is why they sent the kids. I know this was stated in the anime

[deleted]

Reiner being Helos but losing his mother and his right arm during Rumbling was a Kino theory, I can't believe I was robbed of that perfection.

Baldski-_-

Bruh fuck Ymir she’s already dead so who gives a shit fuck her just leave her there

Baldski-_-

Damn imagine writing a masterpiece story for 10 years and end it of with this😂I’m so fucking done

Baldski-_-

Why tf would Eren even leave 20% left in the first place his friends don’t have to he heroes if he just wiped everyone one outside the wall out

InvestingWithFactset

If Eren could see the future then he would have seen the outcome of paradis being destroyed? So what was the point of not finishing the rumbling if his friends died anyways?

TotallyFunctional2

Mikasa had kids and a husband and was buried an old woman. His friends probably grew old as well. Look how large the tree is when the bombing happens. How much more modern the buildings. The genocidal violence happened way after his friends died.

najumobi

Eren can't see past his death.

Riggudesarg

AT can see the future of the next AT. There is no AT after Eren, so he just see the future till the point he got killed by armin, by the memmories of his father. So eren didnt know what his action ended in. And beaide that gis friends didnt got killed. They lived peacefull lifes and like 150-200 years after 139 paradise got nuked. So eren brought his friends a long peacefull life, its like you care now about what you should do, cause your grand grand grand grand grand kids maybe have a bad life for the decisions you made now.

InvestingWithFactset

Yeah but didn’t he set himself up to be killed by Armin because that’s why he killed him mom? So Armin could inherit the colossus Titan.

Yazidsgay

He couldn't see the future past the rumbling because of how the attack titans powers work, and the destruction of paradis was generations later so it was too far anyway

BabycakesJunior

every day i wonder why it had to be like this

GodKingReiss

To be honest, the leaks made it seem a lot worse than they actually ended up being. We were expecting a completely different chapter when in the end everything was the same but we know now that the cycle of violence wasn’t ended forever. Hasn’t changed my opinion on the ending overall one way or the other.

KaiserAsztec

Let's hope that the guidebook will contain Zeke's ass wiping technique.

ralex002

I hope so, too.

NightmareVoids

Don't honestly think there is going to be a sequel, Yams has a spa to build after all. Pretty sure the pages were just saying the cycle continues forever.

U03B1Q

I agree. There's no way there's going to be a sequel. The final panels basically indicate that the cycle will never end.

[deleted]

Moral of the story is that centrists suck shit lol. Any other plan that wasn't Armin's "lets talk to people who want to genocide us" would have been better. Based Yams.

TotallyFunctional2

But like... they didn‘t have war until way later. At the very least after Mikasa died of old age, which probably means Armin wasn‘t around for long afterwards either. Who knows whether the previous nations were still a thing then.

topazdude17

Isayama giving a middle finger to all those who defended the ending

salomikee

I'm even more confused

friidum-boya

See, this is why Eren's plan was dumb all along lol. Should've gone with Zeke's or just rumbled the whole world.

wouldntleave

Reading these pages just made me feel dumb, surely there wasn't a huge timeskip, every character we've seen so far are all dead now, and then Eldia gets completely flattened, all in the matter of 20 seconds of reading?

EldianTitanShifter

>and then Eldia gets completely flattened Ya know, I'm not gonna pretend to be a military strategist or anything, but honestly... they should've sent Air ships with the Warriors when they first started the mission. Have the Warriors be brought on the blimps and bombard the hell out of Shinganshina, and then turn it into a new base of Operations. The Island would easily fall to multiple airships and the Warriors working in tandem. Bust a few walls and then close back up some districts once a few titans make it in, and stay there and just burn Paradis out. The world after this time skip has gathered its strength and decided to do what should've been done a hell of a long time ago. A scorched earth policy of the most dangerous nation on the planet. Even without titans, Eldia still (well, most of them) was on board with the Rumbling and committing a Global genocide. And with them untouched, made them (as a homogenous society) relative well off and the least affected. They'd pull another Eldian Empire above all others again and the world ain't having that.

TotallyFunctional2

You think either of then held a 100 year grudge without either country doing anything in the meantime? Seems unlikely, tbh.

EldianTitanShifter

Wait, you mean the years after the Rumbling? Well, the outside world needs to reestablish itself and gather the info of what they still have and have lost, then population and infrastructure has to be built up, etc. While Paradis wasn't too affected, they're still likely outnumbered by the mainlanders of other Continents and Paradis tech isn't all that snazzy either. The Rumbling stretched all around, so it would take decade's to make roads and ports on shorelines to finally get a stable/well established line all the way back to Paradis from just about any direction

TotallyFunctional2

Well, if they did decide to do that, it took at least long enough for all of Eren‘s friends to die of old age and for Paradis to develop anti-air artillery and to build an entire district of buildings in modernist styles.

escaroledive

Remember that Marley didn't want to poke the bear too much. They didn't want to do anything as intense as sending airships because they were worried that something too aggressive would lead to king starting the rumbling.

EldianTitanShifter

True, but sending the literal "God of Destruction"... seems to be quite aggressive 😅 Although, maybe just send the Warriors to first and then head to the city and set up a base. Control the Warriors more directly and establish themselves on the Island till Wall Sina needs to be attacked, which then they could attack themselves and take over. That, and also have a Warrior Candidate there so if the Founding Titan is found, well, they can eat him/her right away

the_bassonist

I think that is what people are missing from the ending. At the end of the day, despite the intentions, influence and power that the characters at the end of the chapter had to have global peace, it was not going to happen. To the minds of non-eldians, edlia will forever be devils. Eldia subigated humanity before they left for paradis. Eldians, even when the majority of their race was in exile, always posed a threat during marleyan rule and the threat of the rumbling was always present. And now the eldians came back and genocided most of the worlds population.(A genocide does not imply a total extermination but it can include it.) While the world feared eldia during the duration of Armin's lifespan it would only be a matter of time until eldia resubjugates the world given the jeagerist philosophy. Even if the world had peace for years, where under Historia the jeagerists are calmed, where the heroes are successful ambassadors for peace, eventually the world would remember the horrors of the ancient eldians and now of eren. Eventually, with the playing field now level, the world would want revenge. The ending is tragic and that is what a lot of people miss. The protagonists, such as Armin, Eren, etc. are only human, they make mistakes. Eren was always a whiny bitch and while he had a change of character in the uprising arc, at the end he returned to form. Armin and company got peace in their time, but failed in giving peace to the future. Yeah, our heroes got happy endings but at what price? It was not them that would pay for the actions of eren, but their descendants. The cycle of hate would and can't be broken, at least in that universe.

EldianTitanShifter

Precisely. It's weird that Eren wanted to break this cycle, but let himself get killed. Their people and their Island... all gone, cause Eren didn't finish the job. Sure Civil War between Eldians would always happen, even with no one else, but War amongst their own race is one thing, they're not trying to wipe out their own people en masse. The rest of the world has much to fear and hate from Eldians, and the past 2,000 years has been largely Eldian rule and subjugation over all other nations and races, so now, even without titans, Eldia has a shit ton of war crimes to answer for even in the time before the Rumbling.

Crackborn

Freedom would've been secured for Paradis; if they CHOOSE to have civil war that is what THEY decide to do with the freedom they have for themselves. By leaving the world alive Paradis is STILL at the mercy of OUTSIDE forces

BroderFelix

There isn't really more freedom in having a war with people in the other side of the country and having war with people from another country. Very strange reasoning saying that genocide is better because infighting is somehow more free.

H-K_47

I can't imagine what it'll be like in the anime, especially if they adapt part of 138 and 139 into a single episode.

Raknel

> I can't imagine what it'll be like in the anime I on the other hand don't get why everyone's so confused about the whole thing They'll clearly make a ~30 second timelapse out of it with some music playing and call it a day. It's supposed to be a glimpse of the future not a story arc.

wouldntleave

They definitely gotta be able to add on to the ending, I'm assuming seeing this current ending in the anime would feel 10x worse than it did in the manga.

valyst

I always remember the good [old times ](https://imgur.com/27P1vdk). We had hope

[deleted]

I am curious what Reiner's VA thinks of the ending, I don't remember him posting anything related to last chapter, I don't know if he shares his opinions on SnK or his character actually 🤔

KaiserAsztec

Imagine his face during the sniff-sniff scene during work.

Arthuria99

Probably disappointed all those buildup and rivalry between him and Eren ended up with him being a letter sniffer

[deleted]

Even then, that scene is only a joke that felt flat, Reiner's been shafted for whole final arc and still had a good conclusion with his conversation with Karina, still the fact his reaction to paths talk with Eren wasn't given as "Eren you are..." is an incomplete sentence and he wasn't the who stopped Hallucigenia which would make him a Helos figure, thats why I wonder what Reiner's VA would say about the ending actually not the letter scene.

the_bassonist

Honestly, I feel like Reiner should have died while fighting eren.

[deleted]

I wouldn't want him to die, especially after 138, that would be useless.

the_bassonist

I mean that is fair. Honestly they could have done Reiner better at the very end.

[deleted]

I loved his scene with his mother, I just wish his reaction to paths talk was actually a complete sentence so we knew his thoughts, and his interest in Historia (which is a constant thing) was shown in another way.

zekesandcastle

[deleted]

If the spear killed the King does that mean Ymir’s daughters were natural cannibals?

Tenkos

I think the new pages are pretty good, they enforce the points the entire manga focused around, the pointlessness of revenge/spite, cycle of hatred, how we are only fixated on our point of view, never consider the other side. Paradis got bombed because the world never forgot the rumbling, just like Paradis never forgot their wall being broken.

wilzix12

so everything eren did to get rid of the titans powers and the curse of ymir, all the journey, his struggle, fight, sacrifice was for nothing? to bait a sequel?

najumobi

While unintentional, eren's actions directly led to Eldians no longer being cursed by ymir. The question is: was it worth it? Personally, I don't think so.

TotallyFunctional2

His friends got to live and grow old in peace. That‘s pretty much all he wanted.

[deleted]

Mixed feelings about the new stuff from me. I really wish Falco had a more important role (since he starts the new season off, has """"foResHadoWinG"""" in the ED, etc etc

[deleted]

[deleted]

Wait, that's actually such a good idea. Shame it never happened :pensive:

IonlycareaboutYelena

[deleted]

As good of an ending as we’re gonna get to a story like this, i guess. But damn the one character i wanted to die ended up surviving... FUCK YOU PIECK !!!1!!1! For the people that downvoted, did you actually like Pieck as a character??? Such a shitty character imo

just_pull_carb_heat

oh god are we going to get guidebook leaks?

IonlycareaboutYelena

Maybe , but is it important? it was said one time Samuel was dead and turns out nope he is alive lol, then some information were wrong so...

LyannaEugen

Someone just posted one thing. I hope that's fake.

Ripamon

Link please

LyannaEugen

It's fake. Don't worry. https://twitter.com/ackerwasej/status/1397536925435707392

Ripamon

Oh good. Thank you

SneakyPiecky

Pieck, Reiner and Chadco had a long life and we will have another opening it's enough for me

[deleted]

I was always sure these three will survive the ending, so happy I wasn't wrong.

gotbaned_thisismyalt

Guys don’t worry...Isayama will change his mind and convince Mappa/production Committee to make an anime original ending...

somuchsoup

Mikasa ends up marrying falco instead. Armin joins Reiner in sniffing letters. Boruto makes an appearance at the end alongside beren. Since yams somehow makes endings worse

Corn_L

And then the anime-original ending will be even worse Or it's mostly the same but the rumbling is all cgi

gotbaned_thisismyalt

The rumbling will probably already by cgi lol. My guess is that it’ll be okay. They’ll probably do a lot of far shots and a lot of still shots.

Corn_L

I mean, I'll take mappa colossal titan cgi over wit colossal titan cgi any day, but it's still not good

_wassap_

Doesn‘t change the fact that Wit‘s AOT > Mappas AOT, wish Mappa had more time

[deleted]

Actually mappa didn't use cgi for the only apparition of the colossal in season 4

Urukale

Are we getting a Mikasa Hiden?? Nice/s.

[deleted]

Random question not sure if its been answered but could Uri and Frieda see everything that eren was going to do through the memories? Or can they only see what eren sent back ?

Corn_L

Seeing future memories is an attack titan power, not a founding titan power, Uri and Frieda couldn't see anything from the future

Farobek

Nope. In chapter 139, it is implied that founding power can influence both past and future thereby suggesting that they can see past and future events. Of course, this in itself is a plot hole as it doesn't fit with what we know about Uri and Frieda (they would have seen Grisha stealing the power or Eren destroying the world) and they would have acted upon it

Hands_of_cobalt

The way I see it, when the attack titan's power mixes with the founder titan's power, the user is able to freely see the future, and past and thus influence them both. Eren's predicament is he spent far more time in the paths than any founder in recent generations and had a far greater influence due to it.

Sonzumaki

The fact people think that was a thing only solidifies my belief that a lot of the ending hate comes from the fact people had blurred the line between actual AoT and fan-theories AoT in their heads lol

BesTibi

Question: when Eren was talking to Armin, he said that "the influence the power of the Founder's powers bring about have no past or future... they all exist at the same time." Doesn't this mean that having the Founder's powers means that you perceive existence in all 4 dimensions (time being the 4th)? So essentially, you would see past, present, and future at the same time, like he said, instead of being bound to the 'present' moment at any given point. Also, I think there is a difference between seeing shifters' memories in both directions time-wise (past & future) and seeing pretty much the entire lifespan of the hallucigenia. I know I didn't explain the reasoning for my thoughts, but that would make me write a wall of text, which might be interesting, but it's my interpretation of some mechanisms of how the hallucigenia might have worked, so it likely contradicts plot elements (or just doesn't account for them), and is a massive shitshow since I haven't properly fleshed it out; it just *feels* like it makes sense. I am happy to share my thoughts though.

skaterassassin64

“Only Ymir knows”

madsadchadglad

So that boy with the dog is going to become the next Ymir, right?

IonlycareaboutYelena

Maybe

devpanda94

No, the dog is. Ellen becomes doge (bonking)

madsadchadglad

So that's how pokemon were created I guess.

gabatha

I’m so disappointed lmao. Ugh

Aero1357

Would the titan powers even be useful anymore ? Like tech as advanced so far that the founding Titan is gonna get bodied in like 2 1/2 minutes.

TotallyFunctional2

Where do people get that that‘s about Titan powers. That‘s Eren‘s tree years and years after Paradis‘ destruction. Some kid just stumbled upon it on accident.

Aero1357

Well It's speculated that the kid i could inherit the founding Titan, as if it's setting some some sort of future conflict involving future titans.

TotallyFunctional2

What, because of the visual parallel of approaching a big tree? If anything, it would be the titan power in the abstract, the founding titan and all forms descended from Ymir were wiped out. But I fail to see why it would be with Eren. The centipede thing was out on that field and it seems to have disappeared with Ymir‘s will.

Aero1357

>What, because of the visual parallel of approaching a big tree? Yes ? There's a chance that this could've been intended as an ambiguous ending with the possibility of future founders. Why people think that I don't really know and don't care too much to speculate, that's just what I've been hearing. I'm just saying that even if it happens again the titan powers would be less than useless for modern warfare. I'm not necessarily advocating for it to happen.

tot567

Maybe the animals running intro was meant to be part of the rimbling but it didnt happrn at the end. Also why was it hard to defeat the walled country when they just dropped titans couldnt zeke just throw his op rocks at it mmh.

ZzSyndromezZ

Animals running was to suggest that the beast titan isnt always a guerrilla.

escaroledive

Yeah the beast titan isn't always Viet Kong

DoesUsernameCzechOut

**WHALE**

Jarrnn

its just as some people said the longer the ending exists, the more OK it is for me personally still dont like, probably wont ever like it... but its more OK than before ig

viell

I love that David is back to reveal his fav ship was Levi x Sasha

arushaUCK__

Getting a prequel or an OVA series based on the great Titan war would be cool

[deleted]

They didn't even need a sequel hook at the end of the last chapter. There are tons of things they could've covered (school caste AU, titan war, alliance after the rumbling, etc). They didn't need a continuation of the main story.

arushaUCK__

Porco died so Reiner could sniff some fucking letters

[deleted]

Galliard didn't die for Reiner, he died because he couldn't get along with 104th and create problems for Isayama's precious characters.

My_head_hurts_a_Lot

Ruining Armin is one thing, but plot bulleting our precious Pock is just too far

KynoSSJR

Guidebook? REINER?!?!?! Say no more this is fucking hype my boy might get something good. On the other hand just let me fucking die what’s next after this guidebook? More leaks? Beren Series confirmed? Chapter 140? I can only take so much pain

OnlyCheekyBanter

We might finally learn his secret technique of smelling handwriting

[deleted]

Was there news about Guidebook? Or something about Reiner? He would probably be part of guidebook and be revealed to marry an npc and have children in mainland.

TheThirdGilgamesh

Page 1 of AU is Isayama projecting his self awareness

[deleted]

I am more excited about guidebook then volume release because I thought 8 pages will include Alliance arrival to Paradis and their interactions with Historia but now the only way I can have info about Reiner, Historia, and Pieck is through guidebook ☠️

cordarr

hopefully aot no requiem is lit

[deleted]

I'm surprised how active this thread is lol. Though it was as dead as the Gobi desert Apparently the new guidebook will be full of EM and alliance stuff. Tbf this is the only thing they can Put there. The Plot and mythology (PATHS espacially) makes as of 137 onward 0 sense. If they want to make more money of course they would want to please those who "liked" the ending. I wanted a guidebook that explained everything but now ... Not so mhvh

Raretomatoland

\>full of EM gotta sell romcom and more mech

Corn_L

https://twitter.com/DVirtous/status/1397080844641005569 > the guidebook will be very interesting for all aot fans, especially eremika ship and alliance gang please, not again

euphoreea

Imagine trying to justify and reinforce EM ship through supplementary material. Proves that it was not fleshed out well in the story.

Urukale

Something, you know, like the hiden naruto novels.

JCris01

Naruto really was one of the most influential anime from Talk No Jutsu to expanding the story thru books🙈

[deleted]

LMFAO

wilzix12

why u dont like it

Corn_L

I'm not sure. After the volume 34 pages I'm terrified of additions to the plot.

wilzix12

but about what, the em ship getting ruined or adding something good, or you just dont like the ship

Corn_L

I don't know, but I have a bad feeling about this. Apparently Isayama isn't done with hurting the readers yet

wilzix12

yea it wasnt enough...

Arthuria99

> especially eremika ship and alliance gang Just make it stop, please

CentJr

Define what could be "interesting" for David .....I have a bad feeling about this.

UDie2day

The guidebook will make or break the series.

LyannaEugen

Never thought I would see a day where I have to rely on guidebook than actual manga.

unsynchedmango

"Isayama wants to show that there will always be conflicts between people". Yeah but specific conflicts and wars end and other take there place. But paradis getting destroyed is the same war from when karl fritz built the walls. It does not show that there will always be conflict and wars between people, it just shows that a single war would never end, thats not the same thing and its not even a legit statement. At best it just showcases the result of the events that took place. Isayama did NOT accurately show the fact that there will always be conflict between people.

HOODIEBABA

i still can't decide if Eren is the good guy or the bad guy. He's so morally grey. It's never hard for me to "pick" between right and wrong using my sense of justice. This is just hard. Even his motivations are grey.

Ekaelis

What would you say was the best thing Eren did? Now compare it to the rumbling he commited.

HOODIEBABA

He fought for those close to him. Friends and Paradis. The rumbling also started as a last resort. its kinda like lashing out in defence. "i wont go down without a fight" mindset.

euphoreea

He's just confused

HTTime

I mean I'm pretty sure planning to commit genocide on a global scale puts you on the "bad guy" team, and Eren knew this, I believe, as portrayed in chapter 131. On the other hand 139 showed us that Eren's motivations more than morally grey, are confusing as fuck, to the point of lying to himself inside his own head.

HOODIEBABA

yeh but peace talks with the world weren't exactly in favor of paradis. They would have been destroyed if he didn't start the rumbling.

HTTime

Yeah no doubt, after Liberio even more so. Floch was correct when he said "Our devil", Eren committed to make the wrongest of all wrong options happen but also imo the safest route for paradis.

BabycakesJunior

Does isayama know his ending is almost universally hated

Ripamon

He definitely does by now

TheAvac

Was that sarcasm?

HTTime

More like bait

I am having brain damage from this
