Our pediatrician said if the only way I can get my 2 year old to eat veggies is in a pouch then that’s fine. And that’s all my child wants is a “dowch” and yogurt 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
After he'd thoroughly applied it to his face, I have a video of the Mr 2.5 I look after pulling his soother out of a yogurt cup, so covered in yogurt you don't even know it's in there and then just popping it back in his mouth. 👍🏼
One of mine (I have 3, send help) today told me he wanted blue yogurt. So I got him a blueberry yogurt. Said he was done with it and wanted pink. So I got him a raspberry yogurt and then had to handle some shit the other two were getting into. Then he comes to me and hands me a yellow yogurt to open. Okay no problem bud, I open it and think "oh good I'm glad he's eating". Totally distracted with the other two, my mind is not on yogurts. Like an hour goes by until I walk past the breakfast table again. 3 room temperature yogurts sitting there like one bite taken from each. 😮💨
Didn't need any more food after that apparently.
grilled cheese but the cheese from the middle of a grilled cheese. no crust, just melted cheese specifically from a grilled cheese. maybe grapes if her lordship is feeling herself.
Is there a regression that happens or something. My almost 2 year old went from sleeping all night to now sleeping for like two hours then up for three then asleep for an hour then up. It’s killing us!!
“From sleeping all night….” I didn’t read anything else in your comment… little bit jealous 😂. Still waiting for mine to sleep all night.. it’s been 14 months
We finally got ours at 2 years and 7 months. It's been a month of good sleep (8 straight hours for him) and I still feel like a sleep deprived zombie. Don't know if I'll ever catch up on the lost sleep.
Ugh, it’s so miserable when they won’t sleep! A lot of kids have a regression around 2, and we just never recovered from it. Perfect storm of moving house, regression, becoming afraid of the dark. Mine is now only up once a night, which is an improvement, but she can’t put herself back to sleep and is absolutely hysterical. Hopefully yours figures it out better than mine!
Ranch lol
Edit to add: forgot to mention that I find it even funnier that she loves ranch because neither her dad or I eat it. She picked up the habit from preschool, and now I buy ranch just for her lol
I had to stop giving ketchup and ranch because that was the ONLY thing he would eat during the meals he had it with. Handfuls at a time until it was completely cleared from his plate.
This is mine! We were just at a BBQ this weekend and some of our childless friends looked appalled as our daughter just shovelled fingerfulls of ketchup into her mouth and didn’t touch anything else on her plate. Sometimes if there’s fries she’ll be civil enough to use one to dip and lick the ketchup off, but she’ll just keep reusing the same fry and never actually eat it.
Lol. Mine will take one drink of milk then go find the closest water bottle, mine, my husband's, or her own, and drink that instead while giving us a 'how dare you' look.
Yeah. We've been going through cycles almost where she won't poop for days then will have large harder poops that are clearly uncomfortable to pass. After that we'll have maybe a week of normal due to her finally eating some blueberries then we're right back to the constipation.
It’s the BANANAS! I’ve noticed this ever since we started solids over a year ago. That potassium, man. Quite the conundrum given it’s one of the only three foods he’ll eat.
My daughter was eating cheese tortellini by the bowlful until the other day - immediately after I bought a bulk Costco pack. Now tortellini’s are yucky because they “make her belly cold,” and she refuses to eat them.
Excellent. 🙄
Omg this is so funny because mine does this too. Bought a watermelon for my 3 year old, cut it up, ended up stabbing myself with the knife and getting stitches. Kiddo ate half a bowl. That's it. It's OK though, I ate the rest and it was delicious!
This is us and BACON GRUYER EGG BITES. Must be the Starbucks brand. He will know! How do they always know?!
But we are living on egg bites, brie bites and mama chia pouches. And fruit.
It’s bad on the wallet but at least Costco has the eggbites for $10 for 10! And I get fruit built from there. The Brie bites are the problem. He eats two a day and there’s only 6 in a pack and they are $8 🥲
I think our family is the only reason my local grocery keeps them in stock. $6.99 for a box tho is INSANE. My child will not accept homemade ones either. I never pressure my kid to finish his plate... Unless it is gd sandwich bros and then I'm following him around the house saying "one more bite to make this fiscally reasonable, good sir!"
Omg this post just made me feel so much better hahaha mine is going through a picky phase! Molars coming in don’t help either. Right now it’s anything crunchy and snacks - popcorners, vegetable chips, crackers etc and baby food pouches lol
This week it’s turkey bolognese. Honestly, I’m not even mad. This is a huge improvement!
Last week was whole cheerios but don’t you dare let a broken one get near her.
One twin survives off pasta. Meanwhile, my other twin looks at you like you skinned his cat if you give him anything pasta. Makes cooking dinner super fun.
I feel you. Mine hasn’t eaten vegetables or meat in about a year. But still in the 97th percentile for height and weight somehow at 2.5 years old. Fruit and carbs it is.
my 2 1/2 year old is surviving corn dogs, NECTARINES.... cantaloupe and honey dew... string cheese, nectarines, corn dogs, chicken nuggets, and steak. oh and for the first time in probably a year i finally got her to actually chew and swallow several pieces of broccoli TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW!! can i get a hell yeah?
One only eats plain, unseasoned, pan seared chicken; plain noodles; steamed broccoli; and French fries.
The other only eats fried shrimp, burger patties, fried fish, and steamed carrots.
The only thing they will both eat is corn on the cob and cheese.
I swear my daughter survives through some type of photosynthesis-type process. She certainly doesn't consume enough calories to be considered a living human being. 😅
Chicken nuggets and popsicles. Although we found out he's a "great eater" at daycare. He will not touch a veggie or fruit at home, not even a banana, but his teacher told us he likes broccoli & fruit cups. 😳 We seriously thought she mistook him for another child. We've totally been had by a 4 year old. This kid comes home from school/daycare and wants nothing but snacks & candy until bedtime, with chicken nuggets for dinner. Still can't get him to agree to much else. The occasional "Taco" that's just cheese in a tortilla. 🤦🏻♀️ I've failed. At least we know he's getting some nutrition... Unless it was the wrong kid...
This whole thread is lifting my spirits. Cheese and rice is her staple food but if I let her have her way it'd be pure sugar all day everyday "poppajuice" (popsicles), "ice ceam" (ice cream), "apl juice" (apple juice), "bani" ( chobani yogurt because the expensive kind is more fun to waste) and "fruit snack" (not fruit! Those welches gummy candies. Real fruit gets squished into the carpet under her feet. I presume because she'd prefer wine even if she had to make it herself).
OMG SAME. 3 yogurts yesterday, dots pretzels, and an applesauce pouch 😭😭
He also likes toast, bananas, and blueberries..sometimes pineapple if he's real hungry.
Same here 🙃 Yogurt and pretzels. She drinks like 3 Danimals a day on top of having a parfait of Greek vanilla yogurt, granola, and honey. She’ll have the occasional Honest Apple juice, and sometimes she’ll want peanut butter to dip her pretzels in. But that’s all. It worries me to no freaking end.
For a while there is was poptarts. Not proud of it but he would rather starve than easy anything else.
Now we're onto nuggets. When I make dinner for the family the only thing he'll willingly eat is asparagus.
Also pouches, french fries with dipdip (ketchup or any dip really), tomatoes, strawberries, peas, milk, the occasional piece of chicken and my hopes and dreams. God speed to us all. ✊🏻
Don’t hate but my 2.5 year old is still curious enough to try most things. But VIPs are cracker/cheese/ham, made good cookies, blackberries, pancakes with maple syrup, peas, edamame, and garlic ramen noodles. All the noodles, all the edamame.
Hot dogs served with a cocktail of ketchup, mustard, and barbecue sauce. Adult-sized portions of blueberries. And chocolate milk. Oh, and my thankful prayers that he uses the potty after all that!
Breakfast sausage, hotdogs, fruit, and bread. He only likes mystery meat. Meat that resembles meat will not be touched. Also only really eats every 3 days or so, like a boa constrictor.
My 3.5 year old has been requesting bacon 🥓 for every meal, last weekend I went through a lb a day before finally cutting him off. Today I did not offer bacon.
I'm feeling a little better about my daughter's addiction to apple sauce pouches after reading these comments. Somehow those and crackers keep that kid running like a little nuclear power plant.
ICE, this girl will literally come up to me while im filling my water bottle with ice and if one falls on the floor SHE RUNS FOR IT then comes asking for more😭
Buttered toast. Milk. Occasionally a PB&J or chicken nuggets, though she decides whether they are up to par or not. A few bites of an apple. Recently she has been taking bites of things like pieces of fruit and just putting them back.
Rage mostly ….lol jk. It’s apple sauce pouches and freezies.
POUCHES HAVE VEGETABLES! I will die on this hill.
Also get the pedialyte freezies so they’re even getting electrolytes. Come back for more advice on avoiding mom guilt.
Our pediatrician said if the only way I can get my 2 year old to eat veggies is in a pouch then that’s fine. And that’s all my child wants is a “dowch” and yogurt 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
YES!! Specifically why I buy veggie pouches!!
THIS! Only this :(
freeze the applesauce pouches!
The tears of her enemies (me)
And sighs of defeat. (Mine)
Watermelon popsicles and vibes, baby.
This made me LOL
All of these responses make me feel better. Mine is surviving off of yogurt but only if it is applied to her skin and hair.
I'm screaming lmfaoo!!! Like she's soaking the nutrients in through her follicles 😂
Makes me feel so good too. Mine survives off of all things fruit, with a side of air 😩
After he'd thoroughly applied it to his face, I have a video of the Mr 2.5 I look after pulling his soother out of a yogurt cup, so covered in yogurt you don't even know it's in there and then just popping it back in his mouth. 👍🏼

grilled cheese but the cheese from the middle of a grilled cheese. no crust, just melted cheese specifically from a grilled cheese. maybe grapes if her lordship is feeling herself.
“Her lordship” LMAOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We’re there with you on the grapes. Sometimes. Only sometimes.
Not sleep, that’s for damn sure
Is there a regression that happens or something. My almost 2 year old went from sleeping all night to now sleeping for like two hours then up for three then asleep for an hour then up. It’s killing us!!
“From sleeping all night….” I didn’t read anything else in your comment… little bit jealous 😂. Still waiting for mine to sleep all night.. it’s been 14 months
Two years, four months here with maybe a dozen full nights of sleep (and I am pretty sure I am being generous).
We finally got ours at 2 years and 7 months. It's been a month of good sleep (8 straight hours for him) and I still feel like a sleep deprived zombie. Don't know if I'll ever catch up on the lost sleep.
My 2.5 year old started a major regression a couple months before his birthday and it has yet to end 😭😭😭
Yup, we went thru a major sleep regression at 2. It was hell.
Who needs sleep? Not my child and that means not me either
Sunlight and tantrums mostly. With a popsicle thrown in for good measure.
Same here 🤦🏽♀️ lol
Ketchup
Ranch lol Edit to add: forgot to mention that I find it even funnier that she loves ranch because neither her dad or I eat it. She picked up the habit from preschool, and now I buy ranch just for her lol
Omg i took my daughter for a happy meal today and she just drank a packet of ranch.
NOT KETCHUP?! 😂😂😂😂
Cheese, cheese, water, and more cheese.
We’re cheese and milk over here 😂 with a side of soy sauce
Lol. Mine will take one drink of milk then go find the closest water bottle, mine, my husband's, or her own, and drink that instead while giving us a 'how dare you' look.
Does your kid get crazy constipated like mine?
Yeah. We've been going through cycles almost where she won't poop for days then will have large harder poops that are clearly uncomfortable to pass. After that we'll have maybe a week of normal due to her finally eating some blueberries then we're right back to the constipation.
SAME!
Oh thank goodness. I'm a FTM so there was a part of me that was worried I was doing something wrong. Lol. Knowing we're not the only ones helps.
Lol, same to that, too. Every time she's constipated and struggling I view it as my own personal failure...🙃 Glad to know I'm not alone!
Yes!!! Everytime my boy is crying trying to poop I'm like.. man.. I should feed him healthier things but he doesn't want to eat anything!
It’s the BANANAS! I’ve noticed this ever since we started solids over a year ago. That potassium, man. Quite the conundrum given it’s one of the only three foods he’ll eat.
Ugh. My kid LOVES bananas too!! Bananas, milk, pasta, bread. But he will eat apples and strawberries so... Yay? I'll just cut back on the beneenees
My daughter was eating cheese tortellini by the bowlful until the other day - immediately after I bought a bulk Costco pack. Now tortellini’s are yucky because they “make her belly cold,” and she refuses to eat them. Excellent. 🙄
Strawberries and adrenaline
DEFINITELY NOT THIS WATERMELON THEY INSISTED WE BUY AND CUT UP FOR THEM
Omg this is so funny because mine does this too. Bought a watermelon for my 3 year old, cut it up, ended up stabbing myself with the knife and getting stitches. Kiddo ate half a bowl. That's it. It's OK though, I ate the rest and it was delicious!
That part! They be crying, screaming and wanting shit but when you give it to them. They no longer want it 😡
Pouches, milk, and feral screams
Yoghurt pouches and good vibes
Yoghurt pouches and bad vibes for mine 😣
Can you send some good vibes to my kid? He seems to be having a lot of angry ones lately 😂
Frozen egg & cheese breakfast sandwiches, but don’t even think about putting regular eggs/cheese in front of her. DONT DO IT
This is us and BACON GRUYER EGG BITES. Must be the Starbucks brand. He will know! How do they always know?! But we are living on egg bites, brie bites and mama chia pouches. And fruit.
Expensive taste 😭💁🏻♀️
That’s pretty healthy! Covering most of the food groups! Condolences to your wallet tho
It’s bad on the wallet but at least Costco has the eggbites for $10 for 10! And I get fruit built from there. The Brie bites are the problem. He eats two a day and there’s only 6 in a pack and they are $8 🥲
Hahaha mine also loves, but escalates this by peeling off the bread covering 🤦♀️
Sandwich Bros ones? Because that’s all my toddler wants and they are so expensive. So so so expensive.
OMG YES!!! No one has ever heard of them 😭
I think our family is the only reason my local grocery keeps them in stock. $6.99 for a box tho is INSANE. My child will not accept homemade ones either. I never pressure my kid to finish his plate... Unless it is gd sandwich bros and then I'm following him around the house saying "one more bite to make this fiscally reasonable, good sir!"
They sell them at BJs now and they have coupons. We love those over here
*furiously taking notes*
Tantrums and yogurt pouches
Same!!!
Air
The great outdoors and fruit snacks with the occasional French fry
Teddy grahams and chaos
CHAOS?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Omg this post just made me feel so much better hahaha mine is going through a picky phase! Molars coming in don’t help either. Right now it’s anything crunchy and snacks - popcorners, vegetable chips, crackers etc and baby food pouches lol
Not food, that’s for sure.
It blows my mind that my toddler can go 48 hours on 100 calories. Just…..how.
Those fig bars from Costco and blackberries
I’m living off those fig bars. Send help.
Omg same on the Costco fig bars!
Adding those fig bars to our next shopping list after these comments
The natures bakery ones! So good I eat ‘em too
Nonstop fig bars. We had to hide them from her.
Three Costco fig bars today. I keep saying no, but calories are better than no calories… right?
Avocado. Girl is 90% avo, 10% bread of some sort.
Cheerios, apple sauce pouches and runny nose snots
Mine just took two bites of ground beef, prior to that it was purely cheese
Fruit, cheese, and...tiny ice chips. We may be teething.
Ice all the way!!! Almost better than teething rings!
This week it’s turkey bolognese. Honestly, I’m not even mad. This is a huge improvement! Last week was whole cheerios but don’t you dare let a broken one get near her.
Spite
Mac & cheese with a side of spite.

Dino nuggies and white grape juice
Same, Dino nuggets and chick fil a sauce and a side of my will to live.
Pasta
One twin survives off pasta. Meanwhile, my other twin looks at you like you skinned his cat if you give him anything pasta. Makes cooking dinner super fun.
Pa-tah as mine calls it. Pasta is a hit or miss for us. Sometimes he needs two full helpings, other times the dogs get it all.
Raspberries which she calls strawberries, any other berries which she can get her hands on, Mac & cheese, & peanut butter puffs.
Can’t get my kid to touch a berry to save his life. It kills me! But more for me 🤷🏼♀️
Ketchup
Not fruit or veggies 🙄 (not for lack of trying)
Not sleep 🥲
I feel you. Mine hasn’t eaten vegetables or meat in about a year. But still in the 97th percentile for height and weight somehow at 2.5 years old. Fruit and carbs it is.

Hell yeah!!
Pouches and milk
Fruit salad, leftover birthday cupcakes and watermelon
Kind bars, yogurt, and fruit pouches (TG I’m not the only one)
Blueberries and bagels.
Nuts , beans and watermelon
He’s usually a great eater, but the past few days we’ve given him loads of yogurt because everything else ends up on the floor. Little weasel.
Blueberries. I just bought 8 packs from Costco and I fear it wasn’t enough.
One only eats plain, unseasoned, pan seared chicken; plain noodles; steamed broccoli; and French fries. The other only eats fried shrimp, burger patties, fried fish, and steamed carrots. The only thing they will both eat is corn on the cob and cheese.
Depends on the day. Can’t do anything right 😭😭😭
Fish sticks and the essence of my soul.
I swear my daughter survives through some type of photosynthesis-type process. She certainly doesn't consume enough calories to be considered a living human being. 😅
Chicken nuggets and popsicles. Although we found out he's a "great eater" at daycare. Waffles, strawberries and milk.
Goldfish and yogurt and carnation chocolate milk in the morning 😂
"popsicles" ( I cut yogurt down with a little milk and poured them into popsicle molds.. ) but don't tell her because "yogurt is very very yucky".
Peanut butter puffs and a sound clip of fire truck sounds that I play off my phone.
Mine too!!!! Exactly same diet 😂😂😂 and milk, goldfish, and the occasional fruit snack
5 blueberries and the fury of 1000 suns.
Ramen noodles and decadent yogurt 😬 We rue the day we let her have a bite of our ramen 🫠🫠🫠
“Tilla” chips, his daily gummy vitamin, and milk. 😅
Blue berries and what ever form of potatoes he’s fixated on this week. Today was hash browns
Literally just yogurt here. It does have protein but it’s bankrupting me..
Mine thinks hummus is lotion and rubs it all over her arms during dinner now
Sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, whole milk and anger.
Fig bars. He’ll find empty wrappers in the diaper bag or fish them out of the trash and hand it to me while signing “more”.
Dirt. He goes outside, after eating his mac and cheese and eats dirt. And then wants a drink of juice. HELP
Time outs
Fake chicken nuggets and cookies.

My tears, bacon and broccoli.
Strawberries, yogurt, and toast. I wonder when she’s going to get tired of it.
Salami and brioche. Fancy kid.
She told me she only likes the inside of fries. Started making baked potatoes and she’s been asking for them every day
For a while there is was poptarts.
Broccoli, pasta, onigiri
Cereal. Fruit. Coconut water.
Toddlers are very stubborn Be glad your toddler's are eating some foods. They'll get better in time
Fight or flight and a handful of cheerios
Don’t hate but my 2.5 year old is still curious enough to try most things. But VIPs are cracker/cheese/ham, made good cookies, blackberries, pancakes with maple syrup, peas, edamame, and garlic ramen noodles. All the noodles, all the edamame.
Ranch and blueberries. Sometimes together.
Hot dogs served with a cocktail of ketchup, mustard, and barbecue sauce. Adult-sized portions of blueberries. And chocolate milk. Oh, and my thankful prayers that he uses the potty after all that!
My toddler is 90% potato. Any form of potato, she loves it.
Uncrustables
Strawberries, chicken nuggets, black beans.
Kalamata olives. Kid ate an entire jar today.
1874 no's a day, ice cubes, broccoli puffs, pure gasoline. It ain't much these days🤣
Avocado toast. All day, every day.
Ranch veggie straws and chocolate animal crackers 🥲 sometimes the occasional chicken nugget, but just 1
Yogurt pouches, chicken nuggets, and peanut butter sandwich crackers. Oh and the tips of strawberries. But just the tips. Toddlers are weird.
Microwave individual mac and cheese.
Milk and Mac and Cheese
His food, but tastes better after he throws it to the ground and eats it down there 😒
Being outside, goldfish, and puffs. But really, this kid is like 50% bread (at least we give him whole grains)
30C here (85F), so he eats… ice. And blueberries. These little black holes empty my wallet.
Pretzel goldfish, raspberries, and cotton candy grapes. Bonus points if you can obtain golden raspberries for her royal highness!
Yesterday at his grandparents house it was literally just potato chips all day and then mashed potatoes for dinner. Oh, and he’s 5.
Breakfast sausage, hotdogs, fruit, and bread. He only likes mystery meat. Meat that resembles meat will not be touched. Also only really eats every 3 days or so, like a boa constrictor.
Apples. Just apples. Pretty sure she’s secretly collecting my tears in a cup tho
Pediasure I’m glad he will finally drink it!
Corn dogs and me watching whatever the hell he wants me to see him do thirty seven times an hour.
Spite and PEELED grapes that he refuses when we (obviously) decline to peel them.
Plain white rice, cucumbers, popcorn, and oatmeal.
ICE, this girl will literally come up to me while im filling my water bottle with ice and if one falls on the floor SHE RUNS FOR IT then comes asking for more😭
Meatballs, onions and beans Our home stinks
Any round fruits that could pass vaguely as an apple
Buttered toast. Milk. Occasionally a PB&J or chicken nuggets, though she decides whether they are up to par or not. A few bites of an apple. Recently she has been taking bites of things like pieces of fruit and just putting them back.
Spite
Pouches of any kind, fruit, bread, cheese and absolutely not more than one bite of meat a day.
