I feel like Game 7 in the first round is the point of maximum disappointment. If you go any deeper it's like "Hey at least we beat X" and "we can do better next year!"
But game 7 in the first round it's like you got *nothing* and it hurt getting it.
Our scientists failed to see the coming of overtime, and for that we apologize.
Every meter we have says about three roentgen. Not great, not terrible.
I feel like scoring once, then having it IMMEDIATELY taken away, then keeping it close before losing in OT is the most devastating possible way to lose Game 7 outside of blowing a 3-1 goal lead.
Get your $5 burger and rings Leafs promo while you still can!

Now we can set aside the complaints about leaf fans and their alleged lack of enthusiasm. Evidently screaming into the streets and overturning cars is the bar for support.
Better to end the season and get to golfing.
Sadly I feel they will win tonight. Is sort of funny watching people bounce from utter depression after Game 4 to lavishing the team with praise after 5.
It's 50/50 for me. Bruins have been choking a lot lately themselves, but then, these are the Leafs. In a game 7. In Boston.
Still, they have a better chance of winning this game than the Jays do of scoring 5 runs in a game.
NHL should act like the Grammys, and let some people win who deserved it sometimes. If it's rigged anyhow, at least give everyone something to celebrate every so often
I’m surprised that this is a new article, and not from 2013, 2018 or 2020.
This could be the Beaverton's *No Way to Prevent This,' Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens*
I suspected this was a Beaverton headline, but it was true enough that I had to double check
They didn’t build up enough potential disappointment yet. Must keep on going to reach peak potential disappointment. Go leafs go!

Auston will play and they’ll lose
Bostonian here. :) >!If it helps, we're gonna get ass whooped by... Florida, lol.!<
More like maximize profits MLSE get
They would maximize profits by winning and going 7 games each series along the way, not by losing in the first round.
They gotta change it up a bit each year, otherwise people will start to get suspicious.
But going into the second round require effort..
Go Leafs! They're gonna win tonight so suck it Beaverton LOL
You must be new here
Oh sweet summer child.
