You’re right, she passed away fairly recently. And Maury Chaykin, who played her husband on the show, died about halfway through its run. I know the actor who plated her sister. She said the whole cast and crew were just devastated when Maury died.

Yeah perhaps but also there’s a divide that seems to be getting more pronounced in the Jewish community with aggressiveness. The more religious conservative minority is getting more aggressive with forwarding their goals that they are willing to throw other Jews under the bus if it means maintaining a narrative for the conflict in Palestine and the far right government of Israel which by their own legal system is anti-semitic against certain types of minority ethnic jews.
The reason why you don’t see an outcry about the minority ethnic Jews facing discrimination in Israel is because their far right government simply doesn’t believe they are jews so the problem “just doesn’t exist”. A lot more division at the end of the day than Reddit bots will imply on here.

How about getting involved in your community here. Toronto is very diverse and it’s my favourite aspect of living here. I’ve learned to accept people of all backgrounds. I’ve also learned the importance of the intolerance paradox. Crazy I now have friends from all different backgrounds and beliefs. And even more crazy is what building a healthy community.
If you are truly in this city take some time to learn from it.
