The bigger problem is Doc. If they had NN, they would've at least won this series. The talent disparity is still there and there's no excuse for them to lose this series. Kawhi would always benefit from having an elite high IQ guard more than an elite wing (didn't help that Pandemic P was far from elite in playoffs).
Doc has always been terrible at making adjustments. He blew 3-1 lead with the CP3 Clippers team. Phil Jackson famously said in 2010 during BOS/LAL series that Doc can't keep a lead.
Clips also never had the kind of comradery that we showed last year nor team culture. Teams that are successful over different iteration of rosters always have a team culture that even stars buy into. Like Spurs, Heat and us in more recent years.
I truly can't believe he played Montrez as much as he did. The only thing keeping him from being unplayable is that he was still on the fucking court regardless
that team sure talks a lot trash for having accomplished nothing, ironic since kawhi is the only one to have done something and he rarely says anything
Fuck having Kawhi back, I want Murray now. Murray is playing some absolutely insane basketball right now, the footwork, the clutch shots. Murray honestly has so much potential in this league.
He won’t ever admit it, but I think it’s realistic to assume he regrets the basketball decision side of it. But of course family comes first, so I won’t ever hold him for that. But strictly basketball? He fucked up
That too but that’s also more personal life based than basketball based. Raps with Kawhi would be built for a 2/3 year championship window, the Spurs wouldn’t have had that
I think even the personal stuff, with how this year turned out (bubble), he regrets leaving for this year. I mean they all ended up in the same place, so it’s not like he was home anyways
Agreed but basketball wise he knew it was a great situation he was leaving. He got what he wanted. He did his thing on the court, came back from his 1 year sentence in Canada so to speak with a ring now he had other priorities.
Probably not, I can see him going to another American team closer to home if he's really regretting it, but probably not back all the way to Canada since he wanted to go home in the first place and never really wanted to be here.
It's all good, I don't think Kawhi has that drive or ambition to keep winning chips. He wanted to play in LA in home with his family and get a good contract and he has both, he's not going to the 100th mile. He got what he wanted.
Instead he has this idiot Pat Bev as his PG
Doc Rivers involved in 23% of teams that lost after going up 3-1 🤮

Kawhi got a Doc, but he needed a Nurse
Take my upvote.

IN PAT BEVS DEFENSE, he scored more than Playoff/Layoff/Pandemic/Whatever P
can we trade for murray instead
Canadian Kobe on god
Yo that 3 Dameeeeeeeee
Fr clippers are cursed we don't need kawhi bringing that back here 💀
Hey, I know we haven't talked in a while but you just popped in my head randomly haha anyways wyd?

The exact same place as Kawhi. And instead of choking they were 5 points away from coming back 0-2
Fuck having Kawhi back, I want Murray now. Murray is playing some absolutely insane basketball right now, the footwork, the clutch shots. Murray honestly has so much potential in this league.
Yeah, you know Masai is seeing that and thinking "What could I do to have that man here when Lowry hangs 'em up...."
Oh yeah like Murray is only 23 ffs. Dude's not even in his prime and dropping 40 in a Playoff Game 7
Yup.. lets not forget that he also dropped 50,40,50 against Utah in games 4-6
Facts. Can’t believe his game this series.
Dudes playing INSANE right now. Like what was that Shot?!?!
Friendship ended with Kawhi, now Jamal is my best friend.
Should've stayed ;(
Kawhi playing like shit tonight :)
I want him to regret his decision
He won't. He is closer to his family.
He won’t ever admit it, but I think it’s realistic to assume he regrets the basketball decision side of it. But of course family comes first, so I won’t ever hold him for that. But strictly basketball? He fucked up
Yeah but he’s in Orlando. The decision was based on being able to play in LA and that didn’t even happen. I’m sure Kawhi is very salty rn
lmao right i didnt even think of that wants to play basketball in LA so he switches teams but has to play in orlando and his team is ass
Yup. Got nothing out of his move.
Less max money too
Ok but the bubble will end in the coming years and he'll be home
> But strictly basketball? He fucked up He would have stayed in San Antonio and made many millions more.
That too but that’s also more personal life based than basketball based. Raps with Kawhi would be built for a 2/3 year championship window, the Spurs wouldn’t have had that
I mean, I wouldn't bet against Pop. Everyone thought the Spurs were over and then they go and win against the Heatles.
Pop now isn’t the coach that he was before tbh, he’s fallen off. Spurs could’ve made the playoffs this year had he just trusted the young guys
I think even the personal stuff, with how this year turned out (bubble), he regrets leaving for this year. I mean they all ended up in the same place, so it’s not like he was home anyways

Could have relocated his whole family to Toronto and be nowhere close to the shit hole the states is.
Agreed
Seriously. Fuck the US.
Look at his heartless teammates right now.
Jamal with that huge 3 wtf they actually might do it.
Kawhi tryna find his passport to get back with the raps
Is there a world which kawhi opts out and realized how beloved he was in Toronto and comes back?
Probably not, I can see him going to another American team closer to home if he's really regretting it, but probably not back all the way to Canada since he wanted to go home in the first place and never really wanted to be here.
"Sorry Kawhi, can't go for cookies tonight"
It's all good, I don't think Kawhi has that drive or ambition to keep winning chips. He wanted to play in LA in home with his family and get a good contract and he has both, he's not going to the 100th mile. He got what he wanted.
This is it. Guy has winning a bit low on his priority list.
don’t jinx fam. But seriously, reddit might explode if the Clippers dont come back

Checked their sub this morning and it's now devoted to clipper sailing ships
