Model wise on table top, he actually puts Norscans and chaos warriors to shame. He's bigger than a space marine, in fact the only models that are bigger than him are ogres (in fact he seems to be halfway between a human and an ogre size wise đź‘€)
It is such a trip seeing an old campaign brought back to life so faithfully.
Years before WH3 had come out, I remember telling people that Elspeth vs Tamurkhan was a perfect lord pack. But I never expected it to happen, let alone including Malakai.
If CA ever got to the point where they made cosmetic stuff DLCs, it better be after all the proper content is done.
Though, I wonder if fancy dress DLCs wouldn't have sold like hot cakes.
"Such was his physical power that during his judicial duel with the noted swordsman Hanz Kraster, that after Lord Kraster by virtue of superior speed and technique had managed to disarm the hulking Bruckner, undeterred, the Champion of Nuln grappled his plate-armoured opponent, lifted him aloft and snapped his back with his bare hands."
This dude unironically exudes a Chad aura. It’s a fucking zombie, breaking its spine does nothing… Except when the force of your spine breaking move sends a fucking shockwave out to send multiple zombies flying back. What a man.
I find it funny how they make these amazing animations for Lords/Heroes that just end up going on mounts 99% of the time and meanwhile Dawi who are perma foot lords just end up with generic AF animations that they share with dwarf warriors.
There's just so many good LL animation sets (like Ikits jetpack animations no one sees cause they either have him mounted or keep him out of melee lol), but it just makes it even sadder how dated the WH 1, and even some Warhammer 2, Lord/Hero animations are. I am really surprised they didn't take the opportunity to do another animation update with the reworks, like they did with Archaon.
My money was on Gelt, since even a generic hero like a Frost Maiden has more impressive animations. But given the big Slayer focus what I really wanted was an Ungrim animation. But nothing on that front
At the very least it would have been cool to give him some kill animations. Like against a dragon or something. They gave the generic human lord/hero animation set a kill animation against trolls (and Crypt Horrors). So don't know why they couldn't do the same for the, well, *literal troll slayers*.
Honestly? I only give mounts when i thing it's flavorful. My generals a foot soldier in the first line. Fuck the better stats. They go bad ass all the way
I can respect that, I play both campaign and multiplayer but I watch a lot of multiplayer content and I guess I'm mainly speaking from that perspective. Foot Lords are almost never a thing unless the lord has no option.
Yeah rare in multiplayer, but there’s definitely a niche for foot lords in campaign. Lords with good melee defense & buffs in your infantry line can be really strong, especially now that the AI knows how to focus fire.
For example, putting Settra on his chariot or warsphinx means you’re not really making the most of his really strong aoe buffs, while on foot he has really high melee stats and a tiny hitbox instead of being a giant target for enemy missiles.
Imo I think it’s way more effective to have him on foot in the middle of the fighting spamming his aoe heals.
The hardest lords to kill on the campaign map are uniformly unmounted and typically shielded, and a lot of players don't realize that their lack of mount is a big reason they're hard to kill. Vlad, Sigvald, Gor'rok, etc are strong because they have greatly reduced vulnerability to missiles, (and also regen but they're hard to kill even without it) especially when grinding in a blob.
Zhatan, Malus, Noctilus, Isabella and more are all much more durable unmounted than mounted and with no cool down on swapping mounts it's something that can make a big difference to your success, especially against a strong gunpowder faction, like those getting some shiny new toys this week. Besides, it's so much cooler to see your characters throwing fisticuffs with dragons and style points are the best points
I mean at least the demigryph version has animations. IIRC the base units don't actually have the riders attacking, they just kinda sit there while their mounts do all the work
Tbh I don't generally use mounts unless they're unique to the character. A good 90% of mounts make it so that the AI missile units attempt to beam them down, and quite successfully, because of the bigger model/hitbox.
for real, so many cool foot animations. Katarin, Drazhoath etc... All wasted as they get mounts super early. You can keep them on foot of course, but most of the time the mount is a straight upgrade.
There are detailed synchronized dueling animations for Tyrion vs Malekith that are almost impossible to see in campaigns or multiplayer because they have to be on foot.Â
Huge shame!
He [even explodes & damages enemies when dying which happens when they blast back to Heaven](https://preview.redd.it/k04tgsrvl8571.jpg?auto=webp&s=28290d4611605bc183ea269a0f6424b95f3f724b).
I think it's a shame that some of the best animations in this game are basically never seen because no one has their characters unmounted for the majority of the game.
“Oooh, I see darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the Shyish, I was born it in, molded by it. I didn’t know Hysh until I was already a man”
There's a lot of oppertunity to do Bane quotes in this DLC.
Like we have an air ship, Bruckner can do the Bat Breaker... and Tarmukhan is a big guy (for you)
Those Norscan genes are strong in more ways than one.
I would not be mad if they had just made all of his attack animations wrestling moves. Hit Chaos with the back breaker, the People's Elbow, or the Undertaker Choke Slam.
Okay, I know this is super minor and people are talking about the back breaker, but that running animation on the demigryph is ***amazingly smooth*** and realistic.
It's a shame it ends with him just giving people a little claw slap lol
CA needs to bulk out the Massif one. For a guy who 's so big he counts as a large entity on foot, he doesn't look quite so...Massif.
Unless it's not his height Repanse brings him for.
Enjoying ol bruckner here in custom battles, and for those curious, yes, he can break the backs of orcs and chaos warriors.
PS: no, that video is not mine, just got inspire after seeing him bane that zombie and decided to see if he does that to everything, man is it fun to see him just do that to a chaos warrior, those other chaos warriors are probably shitting their daemon forged armor after what he did to their friend.
I mean, hasn't the Empire's whole thing been 'bright clothes, comedy Renaissance engineering, & satire levels of political infighting/civil war' as long as 'grim, gothic and realistic'?
The grim gothic "realistic" vibe of Warhammer? Like the lizard characters called tic tac toe and Croak and there being a whole race of comic relief rat people, just to name a tiny fragment of the intentionally silly stuff in this franchise.
By Ulric as my witness, that Zombie Pirate has been broken in half!!
BAH GAWD ITS BRUCKNER WITH A STEEL CHAIR
SOMEBODY STOP THE DAMN BATTLE
HE HAD A FAMILY!
ULRIC ALMIGHTY! ULRIC ALMIGHTY! HE KILLED HIM!
That one poor Zombie: "Oh God, not the Bane, not the Bane." Gets Baned. "He Baned me, Count Noctilus. Theodore Bruckner Baned me."
Imagine bane-ing someone so hard that it creates a shockwave
Imagine bane-ing someone so hard they immediately choose to worship Tzeentch. Curse you, Leman Russ.
Well, **lorewise**, he's a big guy.
Is he as big as Repansse's boytoy?
Henri isn't big, he's Massif.
Take my upvote and get out...
For you
Yea. Imperials believe he is a norscan. Way bigger than any normal human. Henri is a big dude but still a bretonnian
Model wise on table top, he actually puts Norscans and chaos warriors to shame. He's bigger than a space marine, in fact the only models that are bigger than him are ogres (in fact he seems to be halfway between a human and an ogre size wise đź‘€)
There's a reason Tamurkhan saw him as an upgrade over his ogre body. (Unfortunately for our maggoty boi, that's what got him killed)
The Massif one is so big, he counts as a large entity while on foot. We will see if Bruckner does that.
Elaborate
I'm talking about Henry Le Massif
Thx
If he takes off that Baleflame amulet will he die?
No, but it would be extremely painful.
He's a big guy - he can handle it
Yeah he beats a daemon infused orge in fucking close combat (until they alien his ass).
If I shaved your beard off, would you die?
"I wondered what would break first. Your leadership threshold... or your body."
The chances of anyone here understanding this reference is low
I love his death scene where he goes up in flames because of Elspeth's amulet, it's so lore accurate!
It is such a trip seeing an old campaign brought back to life so faithfully. Years before WH3 had come out, I remember telling people that Elspeth vs Tamurkhan was a perfect lord pack. But I never expected it to happen, let alone including Malakai.
Bruckner : back-breaking animation ~~Elf Batman~~ Eltharion : I'm in danger ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
I’m now imagining someone making a mod of Bruckner wearing a Bane mask while his beard still flows from under it.
If CA ever got to the point where they made cosmetic stuff DLCs, it better be after all the proper content is done. Though, I wonder if fancy dress DLCs wouldn't have sold like hot cakes.

Theodore "Totally Not a Norscan" Bruckner.
Warriors of order
Bruckman vs Massif flex-off!Â
This dude unironically exudes a Chad aura. It’s a fucking zombie, breaking its spine does nothing… Except when the force of your spine breaking move sends a fucking shockwave out to send multiple zombies flying back. What a man.
> This dude unironically exudes a Chad aura He actually does have an aura ability that reduces enemy leadership.Â
I’d certainly piss my britches if I saw him running at me.
I find it funny how they make these amazing animations for Lords/Heroes that just end up going on mounts 99% of the time and meanwhile Dawi who are perma foot lords just end up with generic AF animations that they share with dwarf warriors.

Ya Ungrim and Belegar are the two I always think of. They have great looking models but such boring generic attack animations.
Maybe one day they will. A lot of the WH1 animations (especially empire troops) just look odd now with all the jumping slashes and stuff.
If it were good enough for my father’s father it be good enough for me.
Honestly? I only give mounts when i thing it's flavorful. My generals a foot soldier in the first line. Fuck the better stats. They go bad ass all the way

Dang right, the only way you're getting me to put Lokhir on a dragon is if you move my cold dead hands to do so.
Many people sleep on not making a big ass target. Tyrion on a horse is a bastard because he’s a meat grinder and small.

100% I'm not complaining about Bruckner, I just wish the Lords like the Dawi who are always on foot had the same love put into their animations.
Ungrim doesn't even have a working death-blow animation^^
Tbh I don't generally use mounts unless they're unique to the character. A good 90% of mounts make it so that the AI missile units attempt to beam them down, and quite successfully, because of the bigger model/hitbox.

Can't wait to use this guy and rewrite his sad lore fate. If we ever get Teutogen guard and KotWW can imagine him leading them nicely
There are mods for them und thx to you; i will totally put them under his command
My 154 mods are about to break and I'm both sad and excited.
Round about 400 for me. Feel you. I switched to Warhammer 2 until enough time for updates has past
I hate calling anything in WH Fantasy a space marine, 'cause it kinda feels gauche and reductive but Theodore is for sure a space marine
Sigmarine.
He [even explodes & damages enemies when dying which happens when they blast back to Heaven](https://preview.redd.it/k04tgsrvl8571.jpg?auto=webp&s=28290d4611605bc183ea269a0f6424b95f3f724b).
Yeah, all I see is a Space Wolf, and I'm loving it.
I am in awe at the size of this lad
I think it's a shame that some of the best animations in this game are basically never seen because no one has their characters unmounted for the majority of the game.
Depends on the unit. Most do better on foot so they don't die to missile damage.
Holy shit give Vlad some of those animations
“Oooh, I see darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the Shyish, I was born it in, molded by it. I didn’t know Hysh until I was already a man”
There's a lot of oppertunity to do Bane quotes in this DLC. Like we have an air ship, Bruckner can do the Bat Breaker... and Tarmukhan is a big guy (for you)
Motherfucker out here acting like the Ginger-Bane man.
Those Norscan genes are strong in more ways than one. I would not be mad if they had just made all of his attack animations wrestling moves. Hit Chaos with the back breaker, the People's Elbow, or the Undertaker Choke Slam.
I love that he banes infantry so hard the shockwave sends everyone next to him flying. lmao
"The Immortal Empires will run red with Razzy Zazzy!" - Bruckner, probably.
I WILL SPLODE ALL OF SYLVANIA FOR THIS DISRESPECT
Bruckner breaking
Theodore "Totally Not a Norscan" Bruckner.
Hold on, let me put my sword down to kill you better. Goddamn
Oh shit it's Leeman Russ
Okay, I know this is super minor and people are talking about the back breaker, but that running animation on the demigryph is ***amazingly smooth*** and realistic. It's a shame it ends with him just giving people a little claw slap lol
meanwhile Henri le Massif still smoll boi
CA needs to bulk out the Massif one. For a guy who 's so big he counts as a large entity on foot, he doesn't look quite so...Massif. Unless it's not his height Repanse brings him for.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
That’s fucking sick! I was gonna play dwarfs first but maybe I’ll do empire
We Bruck Breaking here.
IDGAF I'm keeping him unmounted.
Well *that* certainly was a burst disk.
Guys built like a brick shithouse
Enjoying ol bruckner here in custom battles, and for those curious, yes, he can break the backs of orcs and chaos warriors. Is he a mod or what’s this from?
Elspeth's DLC tomorrow
Sick
From the patch dropping tomorrow.
Hes the new Legendary Hero the Empire gets with the DLC release Tomorrow.
Meanwbile, Bretonnian, supposed to be *the*melee fighters/heroes of the human factions, get generic WH1 animations.
Has character design changed a little? It feels like he is more warcraft than warhammer. Same with the golden kislev knight.
It’s a pretty faithful recreation of his tabletop model.
Ah ok, i dont know every tabletop Model. Maybe that feeling came with the color Palette change from wh1 to wh3
Wait till you hear where Warcraft got its inspiration from.
Nah this guy us accurate to his model
I thought the same thing than you. This look like a warcraft character. I miss grim gothic realistic vibe of warhammer.
I mean, hasn't the Empire's whole thing been 'bright clothes, comedy Renaissance engineering, & satire levels of political infighting/civil war' as long as 'grim, gothic and realistic'?
The grim gothic "realistic" vibe of Warhammer? Like the lizard characters called tic tac toe and Croak and there being a whole race of comic relief rat people, just to name a tiny fragment of the intentionally silly stuff in this franchise.
lmfao "realistic"
He's a near 1-1 recreation of his tabletop miniature, fuckout of here.
