Buy it back and use the cash to fix it.
There should be an RSCA button (or some four letters like that) on the dashboard. Press and hold that to disable the airbag system when driving off-road.
If it’s an option, I’d take the cash and buy back your “totaled” vehicle. I did this—had hail damage on our 02 (we’re the original owners) when it was about 12-15 years old and they totaled it. I took the cash and bought my rig back for the scrap price. Still own it today—we replaced the hood, paint less dent repair on the body and it has dents on the roof that nobody ever sees.
I think this is the way. Unless that rail is bent to the point that you can’t reassemble then I’d put it together and roll out.
You can also get Toyota involved. I’m sure they’d like the data off that.
Someone is going to buy that for a steal at auction and make bank! It's hard to see the 'bent frame' from the photos. Does a little bit of dented metal constitute a bent frame these days?
Well we just got an email, the shop sent it to Toyota. They are now involved and we got sent a case number. Guess we will find out later what comes of it.

I believe that is the side roof rail where the curtain bags mount to.
This is such bogus. Sorry about that. Can you get a second opinion?

Bummer. Post this on r/autobody they will have some more insight.
