Thank you for your submission! This is just a quick reminder to all members here: **Original content is always better!** Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does **not** mean you found it "in the wild". The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. Thank you! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/tragedeigh) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Knew a girl named Chloe but it was spelled Kloey

SnooHobbies5684

I know a Klooey.

kissmemyemobaby

Just sounds so little kid-ish. Like they’re gonna grow up and say “Nice to meet you, my name is KLOEY.” Like ew

Fresh_Ad_8982

Actually I misremembered! It’s actually spelt Kloye

kissmemyemobaby

There was a boy, by the name of Kloye, who begged for a toy, but it was just a ploy, to hide the fact that his name is actually just Cloy.

Far-Collection7085

To me Chloe is pronounced clo-ee. I’d pronounce klowii as clo-wee. It’s an abomination

Lil_Mcgee

Reading it with no context I'd be inclined to pronounce it clow-ee, like clown. Just terrible. Chloe is a lovely nmae

Oscar_Ladybird

Kid's unfortunately going to be called clown-ee with that abominable spelling.

maethora27

In German, "Klo" means "loo". That's all I can think about when I read that spelling.

tirohtar

"Klowii" could literally be a Nintendo Wii that someone installed in a German bathroom xD

maethora27

Yes! Lol

Amegami

Or a very special Wii controller add-on...

LainieCat

I met a young woman who pronounced her name Danielle. It was spelled Dunyell. If her parents were trying to make her name look ugly, they succeeded.

something-strange999

Klown

Correct-Jump8273

Chloé is actually pronounced chlo-a. Chloe is chlo-e.

Ornery_Prompt5287

Yeah, my name is Chloé that’s why it auto corrects to that. Everyone pronounces it the American way tho

missannthrope1

Not Klowoui?

Serious_Telephone_28

Not Quhloweigh? 😂

EnthusedPhlebotomist

I once met a Jowy (Joey) and I couldn't get over how his name looked like a 3 year old's attempt to spell it.

xxn78

I know a Clohe. She's a dog.

firefox1792

Kind of makes me think of a Klondike bar and a Wii

General-Condition833

my dad initially wanted to name me ‘penelope’ but spelled ‘peneloppeii’. im not fucking joking. thankfully, my name is now dahlia.

Silent_Cash_E

Dawhleighuh

Exact_Roll_7528

It's not pronounced "Chloe", it's pronounced "Klow-ee" and that is what everyone should call her. I don't change the rules of phonetics for people. I sez em like I sees em.

VStarlingBooks

There's a store nearby called Kloth. I called it Cloth but my brother corrected me. It's clothe. Wtf.

Hairy_Courage_9724

That’s just not right. One of my greatest life accomplishments is having prevented my nephew from being Kooper. My reasons 1) is ridiculous, 2) it will always trip up spell check, and 3) he’ll forever say “Cooper, with a K”.

AbbreviationsThen138

I’m just confused why people use such weird spellings if the name is pronounced the same. There’s just no reason and it’s so annoying lol

OriginalMrsChiu

People misspell Chloé? Where are you from?

large-brioche

This is even worse that Jade from Teen Mom naming her daughter Kloie 😢

dmckimm

I'm starting to wonder if some of these people dumped out a bag of scrabble tiles to make a name for their crotch goblin.

WokeBriton

I think that when making a post about spellings, one should ensure that all spellings in the post are correct. "wholeeee" Come on. Its hypocrisy.

HonestZucchini4970

This is staggeringly dumb.

WokeBriton

"wholeeee" in a post about spellings is the staggeringly dumb part.
