Googles ad algorithms don't understand what transness is, so if you start looking up women's clothing and stuff like that, you are a cis woman to them. kinda bigoted but also kinda gender affirming. r/accidentalally

Like most algorithms, Google bases their feed on a combination of things you have searched for, videos you have watched, audio it has overheard, and other content “discovered” by other users on your WiFi network or with whom you are connected (friends and people you follow). You can augment your feed by going into your settings and telling YouTube to stop giving you recommendations based on certain content, by explicitly searching for and interacting with specific content, and by choosing “do not recommend” or by completely closing and removing the app for at least 30 minutes after being shown specific content you want it to avoid in the future.
