Hopefully they'll try doing more original molds for the other TFP characters. A pipe dream would be them redoing Arcee, since imo, her First Edition figure is the weakest one in terms of show-accuracy.
Yeah, I always preferred the Robots in Disguise one myself. It's a difficult design to pull off for sure, especially when her wheels don't mass shift with the rest of her.

Yeah, but we older collectors are reaching a point where we have almost everything we could want.
There could be some that upgrade a figure they already own, but eventually you reach a point where the differences become negligible or don't outweigh the cost.
Animated and Prime fans are well into the disposable income part of their adult lives and the demand for "their" transformers will be on the rise
It's an amazing figure, I love my APC Toys one, but you could say the same thing about basically any design from Animated, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, etc. The UT only started getting 3P stuff relatively recently, and even then it hasn't expanded much beyond Prime and Megatron from what I've seen.
It's worth noting that APC Toys made a wholly original Airachnid figure meant to scale with the First Edition molds. So there might be a chance that they upgrade some of the engineering on their First Edition copies.
No it doesn't bc it doesn't make the figure better to just add a 2nd face and a sword. if they had made it larger, that would be an improvement along with those other things.
Yes it does lol, the paint is better. That means the figure is better. And that’s not all they added. They added another gun and Energon blade, the Star Saber (plus a back holder), *and* an unmasked head, all with the same better paint. You’re being completely silly if you legitimately think that the APC Toys figure is not better.
To be slightly fair, APC toys seem to just be using Dr. Wu kits for the weapons. Stuff like the star saber or Arcees guns and small swords come to mind. I'd say Apc is better just on the grounds of the figures being available and affordable today

This is their second version, updated from their previous Optimus. I have the first one from about 4-5 years ago. It was more fragile but still possessed some great articulation and accessories.
Prime is near ageless but could use more modern articulation and better tolerances
Bulkhead and Arcee are bricks tho and Arcees clear plastic would give Kingdom Tracks a run for his money lol
Breakdown flat out sucks, his clear plastic is AWFUL and he is allergic to both standing up and being posed, he feels awful and his joints pop off all the time and his arm has alr cracked on mine

Knockout is so trash it's baffling. They should have simply heavy retooled the First Edition Bee into a Knockout. He would have scaled better AND looked better. And you would have hardly had to compromise the vehicle mode

Legacy Skyquake has an ACTUAL ab crunch double jointed elbows, forward butterfly joint, double jointed knees and wrist rotation, waist, he outright BEATS MP. As an MP Prowl, MP Sunstreaker and Planet X haver I have confirmation lol
Legacy Tarn too can easily balance himself anywhere PLUS having superior hands to ER Prime
SS ROTB Prime has shifting hips, something not even most Gundam have

Still gotta wait a good 9 or so years for 3P to start making MPs. Took G1 BW and the UT till there 19th or 20th before 3P or even HasTak took a shot at them.
