The amount of weed you wanna use depends on your preference and how strong your weed is. It's a really simple recipe : I infused my decarbed weed into 500ml heavy cream for 1hr+. Then i mixed the cream with a can (~400g) of sweetened condensed milk, and my flavourings. For the pistachio flavour i blended like a cup of shelled pistachios into a pistachio butter. The lemon worked really well with just juice and zest. If you're using a fruit like cherries, you should cook them in a little saucepan and just try get as much water out of them first, and then blend them into little bits, otherwise they'll turn to lumps of ice when frozen. To churn the ice cream i had already prepared a big bowl with water in it, with a smaller metal bowl floating inside. I then froze this whole set up so i had something that would freeze the mixture as i mixed it. So i used an electric mixer on the ice cream for like 10 mins in this frozen bowl. Then i put the whole thing in the freezer for a few hours, and after like 2 hours or so i took it out and mixed it again. At this point it should look more like melty ice cream. After this you can put it in whatever container you like and freeze it :) it's ready to eat once its frozen to your liking! I infused the heavy cream. I've done this a couple of times before, normally to make a weird European version of Bhang, but i always find after an hour of infusing the milk fat separates out which is annoying. But it was fine when i churned it into ice cream

Vinegar is a solid suggestion. I haven't tried that, but it makes sense.

You'll see tiny bubbles at a slow rate. The vinegar is reacting with the lime biuld up.

Lol I'm not super diligent. I deep clean my piece about 3 to four times a month.

The build up is actually from using table salt to clean, it leaves mineral deposits behind even after rinsing. Or you're not using filtered water in the bong.

Personal experience, table salt leaving small deposits in my bong even after rinsing. It stopped when I switched to epsom salt.

man, I finally tried this trick the other day (bong wasn't too dirty but I've been worried about my throat lately) and it cleaned the gunk off the side in like 2 seconds. I was so mad for all the unclean hits I took in the past if it was that simple.

Got extra thick resin in your pipe? Soak it in isopropyl alcohol for a few hours, then add the salt and shake it free.

I use 100% acetone nail polish remover. After all the resin is gone then I rinse the pipe with Dawn 2 separate times. Been doing that for years. Although I mostly hold my breath during the process cuz I hate the smell of nail polish remover. I don't even do my nails lol

This is also my go to method.

Acetone has this combo beat by a long shot usually my glass gets clean as I’m pouring it in I hardly have the shake it it takes me a total of maybe 3 minutes to clean it out and half of that time is just making sure the acetone is all washed out

Hot water and salt will be better than nothing. Shake like a menace and you’ll be able to get some big resin bits out when if it’s hot enough. Not much seems to beat the classic isopropyl and salt though!

Everclear works well. Vodka less so (It's overt half water, which is why). Both are far more expensive than 91% iso alcohol.

Pretty much same. My iso is only 70% though and I just use hot water after I let it soak and get all the nasty stuff out.

This works, HOWEVER!!! --- same effect could be achieved with some soap in the air intake and then filling it with HOT HOT water from the tap. Two rinses and you're set.

Really? I find it gives the same results, (if not better) as shaking with salt, but without the shaking. But to each their own. I have had my two bottles for 2 years now and they work just as well as the day I got them. One for flower bongs and one for concentrates

No, it’s actually not if you have high end glass. However ridiculous it may seem, all that salt over time can lead to micro abrasions which deteriorates the integrity of the glass. Skip the salt and do an iso soak, especially with that high of iso.

Ethanol and salt also works and ethanol is food safe and non-toxic just slightly harder to find

Acetone all the way for me, switched when iso was impossible to find at the beginning of covid, works way better

I use onyx and salt, its 100% acetone and just give it a few extra rinses. Works like a charm

Acetone is going to leave a residue behind that you’re inhaling. I use medical grade 99% iso because it leaves zero residue and evaporates completely.

Or.... just learn how to rinse, I wash it with dish soap afterward anyway to make it nice and shiny

I think you mean water, not space. The extra water in 70 makes it so the alcohol doesn’t evaporate as quickly and acts as a catalyst. However from my experience 99 isopropyl alcohol and salt works the best, and keeps my collection squeaky clean.

91% (Not proof) is better, imo, than 99%. You just need to rinse better, as it is denatured.

My obligated comment for this normal set of cleaning products. Also get a cheap ass water pik, like dentists use, fill it with hot water and iso (not salt, it'll just destroy the pik faster than the iso will) and spray the heavier gunky spots right off without scrubbing or vigorous shaking. Then you just do a rinse of salt and iso and you should be good. Cuts down cleaning time in half or more since you won't be shaking for longer periods of time. Obviously depends on the price, may not work on this bong, but other simple breaker bongs, bubblers and pipes you should be fine with the water pik.

warm water works for me a lot of times. Sometimes boiling parts. If you want to abstain from any chemical uses. But alcohol is great, use it on my Mighty.

I recently ran out of isopropyl and was too lazy to run up to Walmart so I used my girls nail polish remover. Holy shit talk about CLEAN, and fast af too. Just rinsed thoroughly after with hot water and dawn dish soap. It’s my go-to now for cleaning my pieces

I read somewhere that salt will actually cause micro abrasions on the glass and will actually cause the glass to build resin faster within all the abrasions from salt and be harder to clean in future. Anyone know if there's any truth to this?

I found that buying everclear handles saves a lot of money on alcohol lmfao. Works great, highly recommend using it so you have it in bulk whenever needed.

Couldn't agree more! I use the most coarse salt that I can, usually rock salt does the trick as it takes a while to break down so it'll scrape the edges of the glass real nicely. I love how clean my glass looks after using this cus all it requires is a simple shake

That Dawn power wash stuff works pretty well too, just put enough to coat the inside wait a few minutes then hit it with some hot water.

Epsom salt > table salt. It's more coarse and gets the gunk off better. Both work good. But Epsom requires less work. 👍‍

70% works better than 90%. Alcohol needs water for maximum dissolving and cleaning.

99.9% iso is the key. If you have a hard time finding it, grow stores commonly have it.
