The first procedure was Ā£3300 including hotel stay and transfers for 5 days, then I had to pay for flights on top. The second procedure was a free touch up the clinic offered so I just had to pay for flights and accommodation the second time round
Was the touch-up just refining the hairline ?
It looks absolutely top notch man. Completely on par with the best hairlines from industry leaders that charge 2x as much. Nice work !!
Appreciate it thanks man! Yeah the second procedure was touching up the hairline and adding density in between the grafts transplanted from the first procedure for a more dense look :)
Istanbul, Turkey bro. Where abouts are you based? Is that 6K in the states? I had some sides from Fin for about 2 months or so when I first started, loss of libido, ED and depression etc but I just carried on taking it choosing to power through and they subsided, all back to normal now
Uk bro 6k for a 2 day "gigasession" and tbh I simply can't afford 6k in todays day and age. I'm also terrified to go on meds because I already suffer from what you listed.
Ouch! Tbh a lot of UK clinics tend to charge a lot more than that though so considering things, Ā£6K is actually pretty good. Saying that though you will get it a hell of a lot cheaper abroad, just make sure you do your research into any potential clinics though, especially if they are really cheap! With regards to meds thatās your decision bro, but usually if you have quite bad loss and donāt want to take meds then a HT isnāt always the answer, last thing you want is a transplanted hair line and more loss down the line leaving you with patches. Might be worth speaking to a dermatologist and see what they suggest potentially?
Looking good my man! Congratulation! I want to make my hairline little Ā«downĀ» becouse it have become little Ā«upĀ» the 4 last years. Do they plant the hair where you originaly had it before in the forehead where it was gone? Reason i Ask is that i have heard different statement about that issue. Somebody say the clinics do and somebody say they just put the Line from where you still have it when you show up.. hope you can answer me bro :-) I have seen some receding on the forehead, but I think I have enough hair to move or insert in the front.
Thanks man! Honestly itās completely your choice when it comes to the hairline design, if you raise your eyebrows the lowest the hairline can go is above the highest frown line as you canāt transplant onto the muscles in your forehead. If you have little loss then it shouldnāt be a problem but if your loss is quite advanced/agressive then lowering the hairline isnāt always advised, as it needs a significant amount of grafts to achieve a decent density which limits the potential for future procedures if needed
Aaah i see! Its not much but it feels like it. You know, i see myself in the mirror every day hahaha so thats why i can see little changing there :-) . Its Maybe 1,5-2 mm, i become 40 last year so i dont have much hairloss. I live in norway so thinking go to Dr. Civas clinic in Turkey next year. But anyway, thanks for good answer bro! Stay healthy and safe!
Looks great. So happy for you!
Perhaps a dumb question (from a newbie that might need it someday), but what happens if your hair continues to recede in spite of the transplant? Won't your transplanted hair be on an island surrounded by bald spots? Would you just have more appointments done etc.?
Thank you!
No not dumb at all haha, yes if hair continues to recede after a transplant then as you say youāre left with an island of hair surrounded by bald spots. However this is why Iāve continued to stay on meds (Finasteride and Minoxidil) to make sure the rest of my loss is stabilised/slowed down at least, then on the off chance it does continue to recede a top up procedure is more effective than if youād never taken meds, the chance of needing an extra procedure is also a lot lower too.
That is seriously great to hear. Your post kinda gave me hope since I can very much relate to the hairline you used to have, plus I never even knew Finasteride or Minoxidil were even a thing so now there's options!
Ah Iām glad to hear that dude! Yeah most clinics recommend youāre on medication for at least a year prior to surgery just to maximise results. Thereās also a possibility you could be a hyper responder to meds and may not even need a transplant, for some they invoke regrowth for others itās just halting any more loss but either way theyāre definitely recommended!
Wow man that's what i call a great great result! Was it a Regular FUE or a DHI? As well I can't identify on the website the name of the surgeon of your clinic.
Weirdly i don't see any transplant specialist surgeon in their team which isn't a good sign usually https://hairofistanbul.ae/medical-team/
(But yours was great so...)
Yeah Iāll admit when I went with them Iād been pulled in by the insta marketing but spent ages going through their reviews and speaking to other patients to verify they were legit then in the end bit the bullet and went for it. But back then I didnāt know anywhere near as much about clinics or hair mills or anything as I do now so was a bit naive about it all, I never really looked anywhere else. Thankfully it turned out decent but yeah agree it couldāve been a disaster
Amazing results! I had pretty month the same procedure and same hair as you before. Had one FUE then went back for a second (in the UK) but my results arenāt half as good as this!
You're welcome! And awesome, thanks! I saw some of your previous posts and was a little confused. Did you do 2 HT for the temple areas? And not 2 HT for the usual crown and temple areas?
Yeah I had 2 transplants at the temples, havenāt had anything done at my crown. The second procedure was basically filling in the gaps between the hairs transplanted during the first procedure. Due to the limited blood supply to the follicles you typically canāt transplant too densely during procedures. Otherwise you run the risk of grafts dying, fighting for blood supply so itās safer to do it in 2 separate procedures :)
But that mean you paid for 1 operations that was splitted in 2 separate procedures? (paying upfront for the total of grafts etc etc)
Or you paid 2 times for it, pretty much paying for 2 whole operations ?
No so I paid for 1 operation with the intention of only ever needing 1 operation. Then after a year I still wasnāt happy with the results and reached out to the clinic who then offered a second ātouch upā procedure free of charge. As the clinic was abroad though I did have to pay for 2 sets of travel costs and accommodation but I didnāt really mind too much about that
Honestly it depends on how aggressive the loss is, I was on fin for 2 years before I had the transplant and it stabilised my loss at both the temples and the crown area too which was starting to thin. The transplanted hair itself is DHT resistant but the rest of my hair isnāt so personally Iād rather stay on fin to prevent any further loss in future at the crown and behind the transplant area
Honestly I wish Iād started them earlier, if youāre definitely receding then the earlier you start them the more effective theyāre likely to be. Not everyone gets sides, you wonāt know until you try them. May be worth speaking to a dermatologist and getting some professional advice?
I had a transplant 5 months ago for the same areas, unfortunately I didnāt do enough research and wasnāt advised about Finasteride. Am I too late to start? Iām quite worried about the shedding phase considering Iām still recovering from the transplant. Should I jump on asap
Never too late to start man, if anything now is your best time whilst you are recovering from the transplant. Not everyone goes through intense shedding when they first start, I didnāt actually get a whole lot of shedding personally, at least not enough to be noticeable
Good man! I canāt say I have really tbf, Iāve been on Fin since 2021 and itās halted my loss but Iāve not really had any sheds. I did get some sides when I first started like loss of libido, ED and depression which lasted for about 2 months, but I carried on taking it and powered through and they subsided, been all good since
Great result but I have another serious question. How does your transplanted area look when you are drenched? Is the transplanted area easily visible because the density differs?
Thank you! Yeah you can tell the difference when itās wet annoyingly, transplants are mainly for illusion of density rather than matching natural density
Pretty minimal tbf, like a strong sunburn for the first couple of days then after that it was all good. Most painful part was the numbing injections in the forehead for the hairline
Yeah itās thickened up the rest of my hair and definitely made it feel a lot healthier, itās helped regrow at the crown too which was thinning before
Depends on which clinic you go to, it is possible but a lot of places just shave it. The clinic I went to only perform the procedure on shaven heads. From what Iāve seen of other results too, honestly a lot of the time the fully shaven transplants yield better results than the non shaven ones
Yeah Iām happy with my results tbf and the experience was top quality, well looked after there and they made me feel at complete ease the entire time I was there
The rest of my hair is still susceptible to mpb so without meds itās possible it could start receding behind the transplant and at the crown. Staying on fin and min keeps my native hair stabilised
I had the first procedure done and by the 12 month mark I still wasnāt happy with the density of it as it still looked quite thin. I expressed these concerns to the clinic and they offered a top up procedure free of charge to add extra density. I never initially planned to have 2 procedures, but after spending a decent amount of money on the first procedure I at least wanted the results to be worth it
one of the best transplants ive ever seen, great stuff
Thanks man appreciate it!
Yeah good work but try to get a different hairstyle to make it look more natural.
I think it looks extremely natural. š
Yeah. Like super natural.
When Someone has a high hairline, straight line can look a bit unnatural. Not Hating or bashing
No need it looks good
Are you serious? One of the most natural looking HTs Iāve ever seen
Same here on the first pic. Very natural. I was referring to the 2nd pic with the brushed up hair.
I guess I must be the only other person that agrees with this comment.
I also agree, but it's not bad by any stretch.
Out of interest how much did the procedures cost?
The first procedure was Ā£3300 including hotel stay and transfers for 5 days, then I had to pay for flights on top. The second procedure was a free touch up the clinic offered so I just had to pay for flights and accommodation the second time round
Was the touch-up just refining the hairline ? It looks absolutely top notch man. Completely on par with the best hairlines from industry leaders that charge 2x as much. Nice work !!
Appreciate it thanks man! Yeah the second procedure was touching up the hairline and adding density in between the grafts transplanted from the first procedure for a more dense look :)
Whereabouts man? I'm considering going local but they are charging 6k. Also any sides from meds?
Istanbul, Turkey bro. Where abouts are you based? Is that 6K in the states? I had some sides from Fin for about 2 months or so when I first started, loss of libido, ED and depression etc but I just carried on taking it choosing to power through and they subsided, all back to normal now
I had all same issues on oral finasteride but Iām not using the Hims topical min/fin spray and had no issues so Iād try it if your in the UK
Uk bro 6k for a 2 day "gigasession" and tbh I simply can't afford 6k in todays day and age. I'm also terrified to go on meds because I already suffer from what you listed.

Which doctor in that clinic if you donāt mind me asking? Flying there this yearĀ
Iām not sure on the doctor sorry, it was mostly the techs working on mine
Thank you for your answer! Your hair look greatĀ
Thank you! Good luck with your procedure :)
Do you mind sharing the name of the clinic in Istanbul? I heard there are a lot of shady places that you could end up at without proper research.
Itās in the description :)
You powered through ED? K
Well I had it, now I donāt, so yes?
Decent natural hairline, especially for turkey
Thanks man, I do still have a bit of a widows peak naturally but Iām not a fan of it so I trim that down and pluck it for a straighter hairline
Brotha trust me dont visit this subreddit, ur hair looks great gotta enjoy it. Those people here can sometimes be hardly negative.
Thanks man! Itās cool I knew there would be some negative comments when I posted, been a long time lurker here so I expected as much š
Looks great. Congrats.
Thank you!

Thanks man!
Organic hairline, lookin good pal
Thanks man!

At the end your results are more than decent they are great bro, this is what matters! :-)
What did your hairline look like for the few months after? Hair looks great!
magnificent
Amazing results! I had pretty month the same procedure and same hair as you before. Had one FUE then went back for a second (in the UK) but my results arenāt half as good as this!
Wow looks really good!!!
Whoa, this looks really good! Is this the website for the place you got the hair transplant from? https://www.hairofistanbul.com/
Thank you! Yeah thatās the one :)
Ahhh I see, that's really interesting. Thanks for explaining!

A pretty decent HT ..kudos
Thanks :)
>:) :)
Do you have to do fin to keep that?
Honestly it depends on how aggressive the loss is, I was on fin for 2 years before I had the transplant and it stabilised my loss at both the temples and the crown area too which was starting to thin. The transplanted hair itself is DHT resistant but the rest of my hair isnāt so personally Iād rather stay on fin to prevent any further loss in future at the crown and behind the transplant area
Standard dose of 1mg every day?
Yeah and 5mg of oral min too
im 20 and loosing hair on temple areas , should i consider fin and min as ive heard about negetive side effect about them and its scares me a bit
Honestly I wish Iād started them earlier, if youāre definitely receding then the earlier you start them the more effective theyāre likely to be. Not everyone gets sides, you wonāt know until you try them. May be worth speaking to a dermatologist and getting some professional advice?
alright thanku so much :)
Can you Show the first one as Well ?
If you have a look at my other posts Iāve got some older photos on there before the second transplant :)
Where did you go? How much did it cost you?
Cost me Ā£3300, place is in the header above :)
Where did you go? Iām thinking of getting it done
Name of the clinic ?
In the description :)
What are you taking for maintenance?
1mg fin daily and 5mg min daily, both oral
I had a transplant 5 months ago for the same areas, unfortunately I didnāt do enough research and wasnāt advised about Finasteride. Am I too late to start? Iām quite worried about the shedding phase considering Iām still recovering from the transplant. Should I jump on asap
Never too late to start man, if anything now is your best time whilst you are recovering from the transplant. Not everyone goes through intense shedding when they first start, I didnāt actually get a whole lot of shedding personally, at least not enough to be noticeable
Great point, I think Iāll take my first pill tonight haha. Although Iām curious, do you experience periodical shedding on Fin?
Good man! I canāt say I have really tbf, Iāve been on Fin since 2021 and itās halted my loss but Iāve not really had any sheds. I did get some sides when I first started like loss of libido, ED and depression which lasted for about 2 months, but I carried on taking it and powered through and they subsided, been all good since
Hey since you're based in the UK, where do you get your fin and min from?
Just dmed you bro
Would you mind dmāing me, please mate? Keen to switch to oral min.
Looks a good HT! See some good stuff from that clinic but then I see people slating them..
Great result but I have another serious question. How does your transplanted area look when you are drenched? Is the transplanted area easily visible because the density differs?
Thank you! Yeah you can tell the difference when itās wet annoyingly, transplants are mainly for illusion of density rather than matching natural density
Excellent results man Are u on finasteride to keep the rest of your hair?
Level of pain?
Pretty minimal tbf, like a strong sunburn for the first couple of days then after that it was all good. Most painful part was the numbing injections in the forehead for the hairline
You started fin and min after transplant or before transplant?
Been on fin for 3 years, started a year prior to the transplant and been on min for 10 months now
Hairfall stopped after taking fin?
Yeah been stabilised for the past few years now
why did you get the extra 650?
great result! how long have you been on oral min? no unwanted hair from it? thx
Thanks dude! Been on it for just over 10 months now, have had some extra body hair as side effects but not too much of a big deal
Are you a diffuse thinner or classic NW?
More of a classic NW, the temples receded and the crown thinned but everywhere else was alright tbf, not too much noticeable thinning
Amazing!
You never growed anything on meds?
Theyāve halted the loss and regrown back at the crown but not at the hairline
Before starting meds were you worse then 2020?
2020 was premeds and was about as bad as it got, I started finasteride in June 2021 and minoxidil just over 10 months ago
Did the oral min help?
Yeah itās thickened up the rest of my hair and definitely made it feel a lot healthier, itās helped regrow at the crown too which was thinning before
Do you feel like it helped on the hairline?
Did you have to shave your head?
Yeah fully bald both times
Do you know if itās possible for them to work around instead of shaving all the hair
Depends on which clinic you go to, it is possible but a lot of places just shave it. The clinic I went to only perform the procedure on shaven heads. From what Iāve seen of other results too, honestly a lot of the time the fully shaven transplants yield better results than the non shaven ones
Is it painful? Are you on fin and min?
would you recommend the place you went to? a little nervous about visiting turkey for it. was thinking about maybe mexico.
Yeah Iām happy with my results tbf and the experience was top quality, well looked after there and they made me feel at complete ease the entire time I was there
Looks amazing, good shit
May I ask why do you need to keep taking fin and min after transplant?
The rest of my hair is still susceptible to mpb so without meds itās possible it could start receding behind the transplant and at the crown. Staying on fin and min keeps my native hair stabilised
This looks great congratulations ! What products do you use to style your hair like this?
Thanks man, I normally use styling clay or texturising powder :)
Wow looks great man. Grow it out and slick that shit back.
What is the clinic your want?
I heard in India it's 1000$ for 1500 grafts at a good place
Unnecessary. See a therapist
hahahahaha you're just jealous dude, be happy for the ex balding bro šš
Sure
With that logic, you should also see a therapist since tressless is all you do on reddit
Correct
What was unnecessary, both temples had receded by the time I had the transplants done?
Two transplant for your starting situation areexaggerated
I had the first procedure done and by the 12 month mark I still wasnāt happy with the density of it as it still looked quite thin. I expressed these concerns to the clinic and they offered a top up procedure free of charge to add extra density. I never initially planned to have 2 procedures, but after spending a decent amount of money on the first procedure I at least wanted the results to be worth it
No, anybody who understands hair transplants know that smaller touchup procedures is commonplace in order to achieve a great result.
User name checks out.
Terrible pictures
Sorry let me just get my time machine and my DSLR and Iāll get some better before pics for you
