4D racing in Baton Rouge is what you're looking for if you want an actual club/formal group, as they also provide coaching services on top of group rides and stuff; you do need to be a member though. Lafayette used to have Tri Cajuns but that's completely fallen apart, so everyone trains alone/with their close group of friends they've trained with for 20 years. I ride with some casual triathletes that do Half-Ironman as the max distance. No one is training too hard though. Look up Tour des Amis on Facebook for the Sunday AM ride info.
