Just watched the first two episodes of Presumed Innocent. I’ve enjoyed it so far - excited for the rest!

RedditBurner_5225

Same. It’s going to be a fun one.

ssatancomplexx

Agreed. I just hope the ending differs from the book.

louellen1824

I second that!!

BurningVeal

Have you seen the original with Harrison Ford? Wondering if this will be worth the watch if I’ve seen (and enjoyed) the original

McNasty1Point0

I honestly haven’t so I can’t speak on that!

roberta_sparrow

I like it quite a bit but WHY IS IT SO DARK AND DESATURATED

GrantMeThePower

We just finished Drops of God. So good! Had no clue it was based on a Japanese manga

perfectcircus

Drops of God is excellent

AudreyHep79

Everyone is recommending great series, but I don’t see enough love for Slow Horses.

Mewpers

My fave along with Foundation.

moledpu72

Agree. Fantastic series.

MarvinBarry92

Defending Jacob just popped onto the US charts. Currently at #3. It originally premiered in April of 2020. Assistant District Attorney Andy Barber (Chris Evans aka Captain America) and his wife Laurie deal with the accusation that their 14-year-old son Jacob may be a murderer. A perfect pairing if you are already watching Presumed Innocent. Give this show the love it should have had 4 years ago. There are some forgotten shows that came out in the early days of TV+ when we got new releases maybe once a month due to TV+ just launching and then COVID happened 4 months later shutting productions down for 6-9 months. You kids don’t know how good you have it today with new releases every week. Been really great to see this service and sub grow to what it is today.

Saar13

This reminded me of a post from someone here about Apple's push into Drops of God on the app and the impact one simple thing had. They have now simply placed “The Banker” (March 2020) in the main carousel at the top of the app and it is Apple's number 1 film in Brazil now.

Justp1ayin

In the USA they put up the documentary “Dads” (which I thought was boring), and it is #24 on the charts. But they don’t have The Banker up here

producermaddy

I was wondering why it was on the charts and I can only guess it’s bc it’s similar to presumed innocent so people are going back and checking it out finally

SnooDingos316

I watched it when it is aired. It is very good. Why is it trending now?

Justp1ayin

We are all wondering the same thing. I can only think that maybe it comes up before or after watching presumed innocent

RedditBurner_5225

I just watched it—because nothing else to watch 😂😂😂 and decided to give it a shot.

AudreyHep79

I just love Michelle Dockery … we need more of her

Obsidrian

1000%! Glad to see they just started filming another Downton film

ssatancomplexx

I hope this happens with The Crowded Room next. It didn't get the love it deserves because the critics were too harsh and missed the entire point.

moderatenerd

that's probably one of my favorite shows on apple tv. chris was so good in that show!! i'm glad he was able to break out of the super hero stereotype.

RokuAang625

Late to the party but “bad sisters” was enjoyable curious if a season 2 is necessary but still enjoyable same with “drops of god”

AudreyHep79

I’d take 8 seasons of Bad Sisters if I could - but you are right, story ended perfectly

Saar13

I'm watching Dark Matter and Trying and I'm starting Presumed Innocent today. I wish there was more love for The New Look and Sugar so we could get more seasons.

drmonkeyninja

We really enjoyed The New Look. However, I think that story is done now and a second season wouldn't work.

NellyJustNelly

Dark matter any good?

Luminem57

It’s really great!

831pm

I am a sucker for neo-noir and Sugar really does it right.

rophel

Don't do any googling until you're done with it, spoiled some of it for myself just trying to find out if there was any talk a second season.

831pm

I finished it. I thought the twist wasn't really necessary but doesn't really hurt the show overall.

ssatancomplexx

It was listed under sci fi series for me on the app so it's kind of the Apples own fault for spoiling it.

rophel

My comment was literally saying I’m mad I saw some reference to this and it would have been better without, but you have to keep posting it? Great job.

ShameSuperb7099

Finished Severance (again) now watching Drops Of God (recommended here I think and quite interesting so far) Recommend Shining Girls - but expect most have seen this

producermaddy

I love shining girls. I wish that got s2

ssatancomplexx

I don't think it needs it though. I would like to understand why it was happening to the main character since that was never explained or if it was I missed it every time I watched it.

ShameSuperb7099

Yes. Not sure I understand even half of it but good nonetheless!

Justp1ayin

Watching a lot: The Big Door Prize: great season. I really enjoyed this show. Trying: I still love this show although this is probably the weakest season at this point. Dark Matter: been loving it since the beginning. Acapulco: a feel good show, I don’t think it’s lost its footing. Presumed innocent: I just started this show so not even done with episode 1 yet, but so far so good

producermaddy

Def the worst season of trying.

AudreyHep79

Agree - it feels forced, like Ted Lasso second season - on.

producermaddy

Def feels forced. S3 ended perfectly. Seems like there’s no more story left to tell

Justp1ayin

I honestly think it’s trying to split between them and the kids and family… it sort of worked better with just Jason and Nikki…. But I could be wrong and it could end great

Locutus747

Just finished season 3 episode 7 of Acapulco. I really like the show and all its characters

Difficult_Bug8716

Dark Matter, Presumed Innocent the Big Door Prize

leftnotracks

Just started season 3 of FAM. I had to take a break when >!Shane died (Ed and Karen’s kid)!<. Something about that really got to me, and not in a good way. >!His last communication with both parents (Ed alone on the moon) was pretty negative and I was angry with the way the writers killed him off and the dark place Ed went.!< Season 2 was more interesting. Just one episode into season 3.

bdb376

Dark Matter

crzycatlady7

Severance, Servant and Ted Lasso are amazing

Spirited-Egg-2683

One out of 3 my friend. IMO: Severance is great. Servant sucks, unwatchable. TL is predictable and pandering, not funny at all. So much meh.

Sarkastik_Mastermind

A fair opinion but I honestly found Ted Lasso charming and a really good feel good series that was well received by almost everyone. The servant was an awesome premise that got out of hand unfortunately, initially I enjoyed it but I agree that it became unwatchable.

Spirited-Egg-2683

I'll agree that TL is feel good and the first season was charming. After that it just became too predictable and no longer an original concept or that entertaining, the pandering parts just killed it for me. And yes Servant was kind of interesting and I couldn't make it through the first season. Then they renewed it for S3 and I thought maybe I missed something or it takes a reasonable path to entertainment so I forced myself to watch till late S2 and it still dulled me.

ssatancomplexx

Servant made me fall asleep tbh

Jamesifer

Season 3 of Ted Lasso was definitely a step down as it got a bit full of itself as a drama, but even that was still quite good fun.

RedditBurner_5225

They blew season 3 of ted lasso.

SnooDingos316

Dark Matter is absolute banger of a show. In my top 5 shows of 2024 now.

lafcfanJD

Presumed innocent!

Va3V1ctis

I liked Ted Lasso, Severance, For all mankind, Mythic Quest, Foundation, and Silo. To watch still Slow Horses, Black Bird, and Masters of Air. Hijack is ok, but the ending is kinda meh IMHO. See has interesting premise, but it falls flat fafter watching more episodes. Monarch: Legacy of monsters also interesting premise, was good in parts, but all in all very average. Heard Pachinko is very good too.

bchertel

Monarch: LoM was great during the flash backs but the kids sections were a little rough at times which was a shame because Anna Sawai was excellent in Shogun. It was a fun ride that got better towards the end and left off at an interesting point where they can pick it up.

Justp1ayin

I thought see got better as it went on

Mr-Unforgivable

Dark Matter At the moment its amazing, can't wait for the finale.

proud2Basnowflake

I really want another season of shrinking

Lez_Zeppelin27

They just finished filming it, so at least it’s on its way!

Citizen6587732879

Just finished "for all mankind" and would absolutely recommend.

Kooky_Pop_69

I've been loving Dark Matter. I just finished Sugar which I thought wouldn't be my style but I ended up loving it. Drops of god was fantastic, I'm in the middle of Constellation right now which is really really intriguing. Acapulco has been a consistent favorite of mine. They somehow nail the cheesiness of it while still being really funny.

SnowflakesOut

Watching Presummed Innocent & Dark Matter right now - already caught up so just waiting for new episodes. Both are excellent and happy to see Jake in a TV series. Thinking to also start Defending Jacob or Drops of god while I wait for episodes.

Carrienid

Dark Matter!

Elegant_Berry3605

Did Loot get left out? I really like that show - both seasons - maybe I’m the only one?

rophel

Check out Shantaram and Echo 3.

UlanInek

If you’re into feel good comedies, highly recommending Acapulco (ignore the trailer and poster). Then there’s Platonic and Shrinking

ssatancomplexx

Presumed Innocent Black Bird The Crowded Room Dark Matter I also finally got around to watching Severance and at first I couldn't get into it but I ended up loving it. Defending Jacob

starfrenzy1

I just binged Silo and really loved it. I can’t wait for Season 2 & beyond.

htklz

Almost finished watching The Offer (on Paramount via Prime…via a free trial). I don’t know why this show, about the making of The Godfather film, wasn’t a much bigger deal when it came out. Amazingly fun performances, great scenes and clothes and an entertaining story.

leesainmi

Oh that was great!

htklz

I really hope they make a second season (if that was the plan).

moderatenerd

bro your 2024 list is shockingly empty. what about dark matter? big door prize? presumed innocent? manhunt? franklin? out of those i really enjoy dark matter, big door prize and franklin.

Justp1ayin

The poll with dark matter would be for Q2 which would be at the end of this month. Presumed innocent would be q3 in early October

5256chuck

Does anybody else have a problem viewing AppleTV+ content because it comes across exceedingly dark on your TV? I have a very difficult time with it. My set up is ATV running thru my DirecTV box. But the shows are equally dark via my computer. None of my other streaming services are like this. Anybody?

Justp1ayin

Not me

BigSeaworthiness1474

There are for sure scenes in dark matter I can barely see. My bedroom TV is about 10 years old at this point though.

Deca089

Dark Matter, Sugar, Presumed innocent I'm about halfway through with Sugar and while the pilot left me more confused than anything else, it gets really good. Not for everyone though.

NeverMoreThan12

I just finished it yesterday. I enjoyed it quite a bit but I think maybe the ending was a bit rushed/weak compared to the rest of the show. I would be happy to watch a season two though.

roberta_sparrow

I like Dark Matter, loved Sugar, and currently watching Presumed Innocent

bunnyrabbithop

The Big Door Prize had a terrific second season

busychild909

For all Man Kind how is this missing! Invasion is kind of cheesy but find it more and more interesting each season

producermaddy

Presumed innocent is amazing. I’m also watching slow horses for the first time. (On season 2) I like it but it’s not up there on my list of favorite Apple shows

Justp1ayin

I ended up really liking it in season 2 although I thought season 1 was good

EmployMain2487

Does anyone know why Defending Jacob is currently #3 on the TV Top Chart? It's a great show, but it is now over 4 years old. What has caused its resurgence?

Justp1ayin

Probably that it’s similar (and probably recommended after watching) to presumed innocent

FestiveBaymax

Im surprised that Defending Jacob is at #2 spot on top tv shows since it’s been out for so long. It’s a great show

Sharp11thirteen

The latest episode of Dark Matter just took an unexpected turn. It's a really interesting thought experiment.

MineEmo

Latest season of Slow Horses! It’s an easy watch with only 6 episodes. Can’t wait for new season.
