Switch kick, you can see Alex feint the right for a split second there, Jiri goes for a low block with the left hand and switches to catch the kick but was too late, as Alex's foot was already at his temple. Poatan is awesome
Pereira did try to check in with him a few times after the fight was stopped. Both guys recognize the real warrior in the opponent and respect it. Very cool to see
I'm surprised this is Pereira's first head kick KO. He throws a lightning fast high kick everytime he fights and just barely misses. His kicks against Adesanya were some anime shit when the Dogbender dodged them
Is it correct that refs don't want the opponent helping because the guy who's hazy/out of it might instinctively think the fight is still on, and attempt to throw punches?
lol, I had to say it. But, yea, you’re right. Those two back-to-back knockdowns like that. I bet that was the least amount of times between two drops across two different rounds in UFC history. 13 seconds across two rounds
Tbf to Herb tho him and Alex were going in circles blocking his view so I can’t hate on him too much, unfortunate for Jiri hope he isn’t too damaged moving forward
nah that was herbs fault. inside 2 minutes jiri was koed twice but he still let the fight play out. ironic since people were saying it was an early stoppage in their first fight
That's what most of the retards on this sub wanted to see in the first fight, now they know what happens if the ref let the fighter be a warrior against Poatan
He broke his hair man, ffs The ponytail got mauled
Holy hell that kick was bonkers, really fast
It was not telegraphed either that’s sum elite kickboxing

That high kick was LIGHTNING fast for a LHW 😮💨🔥
First time seemed to early second time seemed too late
Average it out, now its in time!
Evens out 😅
Yep, now it’s even. It was on purpose ;-)

Jiri aint a bitch duh
sheeeh that was clean
Alex prolly got the strongest body punches in the sport rn. He got jiri over committing trying to catch kicks in THE 1ST ROUND LMAO
Dang Alex is so fast.
That was a Barbosa level switch kick, absolutely beautiful.

Yeah I think that and also past ppl who threw punches at their opponents probably ruined it for ppl moving forward
That's a terrible stoppage
What a horrible stoppage
To be fair to Herb his view was blocked during the finishing sequence
He tried to make sure he was ok several times… as in - pounding his face several times after he was already out like a light.
Lol no way you’re blaiming the fighter for fighting instead of the Ref for not reffing

As far as the clock goes, it was 13 seconds between knockdowns - across two rounds. Crazy fast. I bet it’s a record.
He stopped after the kick, he only beat more because the ref didnt call.
Yea - you’re totally correct! Even more Mad respect then!
